A Well Loved Edit for September
I didn’t get the well loved edit for September in under the wire, so I’ll share it with you today. These are the products and items I reached for most often in September. Some are new, and some are old favorites that I’ve happily come back to.
A Well Loved Edit for September

skinfix Brighten + Firm 15% Vitamin C Serum
The 3 non-negotiables in my skincare routine are Vit C, Retin A, and Sunscreen. Over the years, I’ve tried a lot of vitamin C serums in a wide price range. Most are pretty good. Last month I started using this skinfix version and love it. This uses THD Ascorbate rather than ascorbic acid, which is potent and stable. The airless pump also keeps germs out. It has a mild scent, which is the natural fragrance of Ferulic Acid… a powerful antioxidant derived from plants (like rice bran or oats) that naturally has a distinctly spicy, smoky, clove-like aroma.

Carbon Fiber Insole
My Podiatrist recommended this insert for my big toe joint, and it’s been a bit of a miracle for me. I do need surgery on my big toe joint, but in the meantime, this slim, inflexible insert prevents the joint from bending, which reduces my pain substantially. I slip it under the insole and then add a cushy insole over it. For my M.Gemi’s, I just put their own insole back in…I love these shoes.

Hourglass Curator Eyeshadow Palette
This is the shadow I’ve been using much of the summer and on into fall. It’s also a great size for travel because it has enough colors, goes on beautifully, and is compact. They make this quad set in several combinations, I wear this Modernist.

PowerStep Pinnacle Memory Foam Orthotics Insoles
While on the subject of painful feet, the doctor also recommended these insoles, and I much prefer them to the expensive, custom orthotics she made for me. I have them in both pairs of Hokas, and they’re perfect for long walks.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
I try a lot of eye pencils that promise to glide on without tugging…and none every measure up. They might be fabulous on young eyes, but the skin on my lids is fleshy, soft, and old so all pencils tug on my skin and look choppy. Time and again, I go back to this liquid eyeliner that has a felt tip and goes on easily. The felt tip can go on razor thin or I can draw a thicker line and it stays put all day. I’ve been buying this Allow color for as long as I can remember.

Kevin Flexible Texturizing Hairspray
For several years I’ve been using this Orbe texturizing spray, which I still love it, but my hair has continued to thin so much that it needs more oomph. I’ve gone back to this one by Kevin Murphy which give more of a beachy, tossled look and serious hold.

Ippolita Wonderland Drop Earrings
I bought these beauties earlier this year at Nordstrom Rack and have been gradually reaching for them more and more often. September, it seemed like more days than not! I love discovering jewelry designed by women, and Ippolita Rostagno’s background in sculpture gives her pieces an artistic, graceful quality I’m drawn to. They’re 50% off in several colors so I’ve been considering getting the green.

Cuyana Mini System Tote
I ordered this mini tote for the color, and have been really enjoying it. It’s not a bright, in your face red, and it’s cool toned, so it’s the perfect spot to add color to my neutral outfits. I particulary love that it zips closed. Of course now that I want to bring my knitting everywhere, I wish I’d ordered the next size up.
These are my most reached for pieces in September. Do you have some new favorites to share?
