Would You Wear It-A Walk On The Wild Side

Would You Wear It-A Walk On The Wild Side

Happy Saturday ladies and welcome to the weekend. I hope you have something nice planned for yourself this weekend. Times are stressful and we have to put ourselves first before we can care for anyone else.

It’s time for would you wear it with my friend Pam. Each Saturday we share a mannequin and ask our readers if they would wear what it’s wearing. I love to hear your styling ideas and how you could make the look work for your shape and lifestyle.

So tell me, ladies. Would you wear this look and how could you stye it to work for you?

Please keep your comments personal to you.

I’m a big fan of leopard print but most are in orangey shades that don’t flatter my coloring. I’m always on the lookout for a leopard print in unique colors like this chiffon blouse in mint.

Here are some other leopard prints in non-orangey colors.

Yes. I would wear the entire outfit. I love it all.

Thank you Jennifer ❤ One of my favorites at Chicos….. crisp no iron tops that can be versatile either open with a tank, button up under a denim jacket or on its own tucked into denim. You are awesome my friend!

Very nice- the top would be very versatile. I like getting away from leopard in black/brown. I would also wear the top with darker grey or black pants. Probably silver or pewter sandals or flats.Abd silver jewelry for sure.

That blouse is cute but I never got the animal print craze. I would wear the blouse in a solid color.

I love animal prints on other people. I have a sister who always looks fabulous in them. I have no idea why on me they always look blah and I feel uncomfortable.

I have this blouse and I wear it with white or khaki crops………it is a real winner!! Like the chiffon also.
I don’t wear the blouse over a cami, it’s a great look by itself. It is a great softer leopard color………I wear it all the time!

I love the pants and would wear them. The top to me seems quite dowdy. Plus the sleeves seem to end at an awkward angle on the mannequin, I would like them to be either shorter or longer.

I might wear the pants but not the blouse. The colour would completely wash me out. I’m not a big fan of wearing a blouse over a t- shirt like a jack- personal prederence.,

Along with purple, I really don’t like animal prints. Of any color or shape. I do like the necklace.

I would wear it but I would want the pants to be longer and probably wouldn’t pop the collar. I just don’t think it needs that detail because the animal print is detail enough.

I would wear each piece but not together. I’d look washed out in such a muted ensemble. And the shades of white/light beige? Looks like the mannequin dressed in the dark then got out to realize…oops! these aren’t the same color! (I do realize others might see this as version of monochromatic but it doesn’t appeal to me)

I love the muted leopard print and the tunic….I am personally not a fan of the length of the pants but would love them full length. It’s a beautiful spring outfit otherwise.

I love the concept of no-iron shirts from Chico’s (my favorite store!) but they do not work for me. Specifically, the shirt is not long enough to cover/camouflage my hip/tummy area. And I prefer tops that have a nice finished bottom as opposed to this shirt-tail bottom.

    May 16, 2020 / 12:11 pm

This is a yes. The only thing I would change would be the length of the tank. I would make it a bit shorter. I prefer this type of coloring on a leopard top as it is more flattering to my coloring. It also is a lighter look for summer when the traditional black & tan leopard looks too heavy.

I like the popped collar and since it is cotton it will stay
    Popped.

It’s a very classy looking outfit and if I saw a women in this I’d think that she was well put together! I love a layered look! I don’t think it’s anything I’d wear, I’m more casual. I guess I’m not all that put together! LOL!

I love the subdued color of this animal print blouse! It’s just perfect with the white pants! This is an outfit I’d definitely find room for in my closet.

I’m a big fan of animal prints, but this is the first time I’ve seen it done in a muted and softer style. It’s really quite beautiful.

I love the low contrast leopard and would wear this outfit just as is if it didn’t wash me out. I would not add a splash of color it would ruin the elegant neutral look. I would instead carry a soft non sheen muted gold bag and either linen or soft gold block heel or wedge sandals. I am chomping at the bit to go shopping again at Chicos.

I’d wear the animal print shirt and the necklace. The other items do not appeal to me.

I like the look of the “topper” over a tank and slim pants. The color of the leopard print would not flatter me so I’d look for a more colorful blouse. I don’t like how cotton button-front blouses look on me when buttoned up so I’d use a blouse like this open like it’s shown. The sheer blouse is pretty but I’d hesitate to buy it because I have had sheer and silky blouses with a roll-up sleeve like this and, even with a tab, they tend to look sloppy. I know other people love them but for some reason, they just don’t appeal to me!

I love this outfit and would definitely wear it as is….it would be a great outfit for a hot Vegas summer! I love Chico’s and have versions of the pants and top, but do not have the shirt. I may look for it! I have solids of the shirt and they are very comfortable. I could see using the pieces with jeans and other neutrals. I love the versatility of the pieces. I would pair with a great necklace like one I the photo. For shoes, I could see tan or black if a pop of color.

    May 16, 2020 / 9:53 am

I would wear everything. Very classy, unique, and fresh. The length of the top and shirt are forgiving, too. Lovely. A “pop” of color would distract.

Colors are too light for me. I do think it is a nice looking outfit. Also cropped pants are not attractive on me

Nice look. Elegant. But I agree it needs a pop of color. I’d also choose a darker bottom. Not black, but a darker grey.

Yes, I would wear it just as it is. I too like that the colors are subtle and not too dark or orange.

I would definitively try it. I, too, like that it is not orange. As someone else commented, I think it would look good with other colors.

    May 16, 2020 / 7:46 am

    I love animal print. It’s a classic!
I would Definitely wear this outfit But I would switch out the capris for ankle pants or jeans. I dislike capris. Bad length for me.
I’d also wear the shirt over a white or black sheath style dress as a jacket.
    Love it.

  34. Elizabeth

Yes, I would. This non yellow print would work for my coloring. I would feel very comfortable in this.

  35. Mary
    May 16, 2020 / 6:47 am

Many of the outfits shown are a little bizarre, but this one I like. Most everyone has white Capri pants, a white tee, so the addition of this shirt (or a similar one) is a nice look. Everyone can tweak it to fit their figure and/personality. The style is one where you can change the colors of the capris and tee, as well for a different look.

    May 16, 2020 / 6:41 am

I love leopard print and would definitely wear that outfit. The necklace is really pretty but might be a little large for me. I like the pants too!

  37. jmp
    May 16, 2020 / 6:17 am

I do like this outfit. I think I might add a loose red belt around the white tee so there’s be a flash of color……and red shoes. The colors of the animal print are good for me.

  38. Diane B
    May 16, 2020 / 6:03 am

I would wear this. I like the cool side of animal print, and would wear a light blue or pink tank under it instead of white. I like the sleeve length and could even roll cuffs for a shorter elbow length. I can’t really tell if the hem is straight or curved at the hip, but would like the latter. I would most likely wear this with a linen skirt or shorter capris. As was mentioned before, the just below the knee in a slim cut would be my style. Also, I would wear silver or beaded necklace with the cool colour.

    May 16, 2020 / 6:01 am

I would consider wearing this leopard print shirt. The wrinkle free cotton and small, soft print caught my eye. Yes, to the white tank but then I might change out the pants. I would need to anchor that look with a darker crop pant or jeans. If I buttoned the top up, it would look nice with a jean jacket. Love the necklace too. It helps to give some depth of color close to your face. I don’t own any animal print clothing but this could be a first.
    Happy, happy Saturday to all!

Yes I would wear it. Playful but still very classy. Only problem I have would be with the white slacks. I would have them smudged in less than ten minutes. Lol.

I would look completely washed out in a top in this light color, so I wouldn’t wear it. Like the necklace though. I have lots of animal print stuff, and for some reason it only appeals to me to wear it in the colder months. Thanks for showing us some options that are not the orange tones.

    May 16, 2020 / 5:22 am

Love this look. Classic with a touch of pizazz! Doesn’t matter what color it is. You can find faux-animal prints in all colors to compliment your personal coloring!

  44. Nancy
    May 16, 2020 / 4:56 am

I like the style of the outfit. I would not wear this one, because the pale colors would wash me out. I need warmer colors. I would hope the top came with a camisole. I would have to wear one for sheer fabrics. I would prefer it without the chest pockets.

  45. Susan Kelley
    May 16, 2020 / 4:49 am

I do love animal prints. But that one lacks something! It looks limp! Would take a pass on it and the necklace. I have seen both done better.

  46. Michele
    May 16, 2020 / 4:45 am

I love a leopard print, especially one that is more subtle, and I can wear a true camel, black, cream leopard with my coloring. (I do like the different color variations, too) I personally do not wear button front shirts/blouses because they just don’t lay flat…there is always a gap between buttons (and I am flat chested). I also do not like “boob” pockets. It’s just a style I would not wear. If this pattern were on a popover top that had a discrete v-neck, then I would be interested.

  47. Kathy
    May 16, 2020 / 4:43 am

I would wear that outfit as is. It looks effortlessly chic and casual— a great look for spring. The animal print is subtle, not quite so “ in-your-face. I’m not sure about the popped up collar. It looks stylish on others, but on me I think it just looks contrived. As an afterthought, I’d probably start using a little self tanner. After a long spell of rainy cool weather I’m looking rather pale! If I were still in California I’d have a little color by now. Light colors look best on me when I have that sun- kissed glow.

  48. Diane
    May 16, 2020 / 4:39 am

Yes, I would wear this adding a pop of color with a purse.

  49. Martha
    May 16, 2020 / 4:31 am

I would definitely wear all the pieces of this outfit. The animal print is still subtle enough and small enough that it would look good on me I think. I love the capris and necklace with it.

  50. Carol Rodhouse
    May 16, 2020 / 4:29 am

Absolutely……….perfect as is. The length of the pants is good for me as I have heavy calves. The colors (or lack of brights) suits me as well.

  51. Cindy
    May 16, 2020 / 4:22 am

I love this look & would wear every bit of it!

  52. Paulette Levy
    May 16, 2020 / 4:21 am

I too love the second blouse…the chiffon. Very nice! Looks cool and pretty.
I do wear the beige/white combinations in really hot weather. On this particular outfit, I’m just not sure. I might try on the pant in petite, to see if the cuff ended a bit closer to the bottom of the knee, like the classic Capri did, long ago.
The shirt over tee look is okay, but I’m not wild about this particular shirt. Maybe it’s the cut? Or maybe I see it paired with a darker tee?

I would wear that blouse! I like the popular leopard print but wouldn’t wear the traditional orange…perhaps it’s an age thing. I would pair it with jeans for a casual look or a tailored pant for a dressier look…maybe dark tan or khaki green. I’m never comfortable in white pants….carry all my weight in hips and thighs.

  54. Sarah Clark
    May 16, 2020 / 4:09 am

Yes, I would wear it. The pale color (and light color of other pieces) is nice and and not an in your face wild life print. I like the a collared shirt and the sleeve length. It is styled well…combo of pieces, popped collar and necklace. It looks comfortable and would look nice for many activities.

    May 16, 2020 / 4:04 am

What I like about the Chico’s outfit is the softness of the leopard print. Like you, I don’t like the orangey tone of most leopard – it’s not a good color for me. This version is toned down, more neutral, and feels more refined to me. I also like that they styled it over a tank or tee. Looking at the link, the website shows it worn as a shirt, which looks good too.
