Spotlight on: Rothy’s Shoes and a Special Discount For You

I’m home from a quick trip to San Francisco with my daughter. We love to spend a few days there each year to get in the holiday spirit, see the lights, and of course shop! Yesterday we popped into one of our favorite shoe stores. And it should come as no surprise, that it’s a shoe store!

Rothy’s is a sustainable shoe designer, with mostly an online presence. We discovered their shoes on our annual holiday wall of shoes at Rothy's

They’re comfortable, chic, sustainable – and the best part? All of the shoes are machine washable. I can confirm that I have popped my pair in the washer a few times, and let air dry. They will not shrink so buy to fit. I also buy to insert arothy's sneakers

My daughter and I both purchased the loafer in “Spotted” last December. As you know, I love leopard print. This shoe goes well with jeans and sweaters, a dress or skirt. It’s so comfy that we found ourselves both wearing our pair on our Black Friday shopping date last week!

Today we had fun checking out some of the new colors in-store, and two new options – the merino wool line and the Chelsea boot.

The merino wool line is limited edition, and pairs sustainably sourced wool with their classic styles. We found these to be cozy, soft, and warm. We both loved the loafer and the sneaker in merino.

I highly recommend these shoes and am planning to pick up a pair of the sneakers. They’re chic, durable, comfortable, machine-washable, and eco-friendly.

The best part: you can save $20 on your first purchase of Rothy’s using my special code. Click here to save.

These are the shoes my daughter chooses to wear on a long day of walking through the city, for traveling, when her feet are sore. They are oh-so-comfortable and lightweight, easy to carry along on one of her many adventures.

** A note about fit. Rothy’s will not stretch to loosen and fit your foot. Buy the size you wear most often. I go between a 9 and 9-1/2 in most brands so in Rothy’s I buy the 9-1/2.

Thanks for reading and remember to wear what makes you feel confident.

  1. I wanted to order but the discount had reached it’s limit!?

  2. I had a question about the difference in fit between the Rothy flat and the sneaker. I have the flat in a size 9 and would likely try a 9.5 in the future. I’m looking at the sneaker, is there more room for your toes in the sneaker as compared to the flat?

On a different shoe entirely, I bought the Everlane Day Glove ReKnit and wore them almost every day while on vacation in October. I walked 5 – 7 miles a day and my feet felt great.

    1. I just ordered that day glove:)) Can’t wait to get it. I wear a 9-1/2 in the loafer and sneaker. They feel the same as far as toe room so if you feel the 9 is a tad short, in the flat, get the 9-1/2 in the sneaker.

  3. I do not know of anywhere in Canada that sells these nor do I know anyone who owns a pair……so I need a question answered before I go to the trouble of ordering “over the border”. I have a narrow foot and often slide around in a shoe that is medium width and is a “slip-on” type…..could someone who has tried these and has a narrow foot please comment….if your foot s wide or medium that info will not help 🙁 Thank You in advance

    1. i have pretty narrow (and long) feet and i bought the flat and have had no issues whatsoever. i think the shoes almost lean towards the narrow side. rothy’s is great with returns, so i would give them a try!

  4. Thanks so much for all the recent links to great looking clothes!! I just bought the leopard Rothy shoes (thanks for $20 off) and I ordered the pink sheepskin Moto jacket from Nordstrom. You make it easy to shop!

    1. My pleasure. They are in constant rotation in my wardrobe. I hope you love them as much as I do!

  5. Jennifer,
Great post about Rothys! I have not purchased them before.
Looking forward to my first pair.
I have two other “sustainable” pairs of shoes—a pair of flats and a pair of heeled boots. Love them!
    Great informative post!

  6. I agree with Corrie. Why would a plastic shoe, even if it is cute, be so expensive?

    1. This is not a “plastic shoe”. The recycled plastic is spun into soft threads which are woven into fabrics for the shoe.

  7. I may be way off the mark here, but I find their prices are outrageous; just capitalizing on the “sustainable” trend, noble as that may be. And they don’t even come in wide! (Going up half a size doesn’t make the shoe any wider, just longer.) I’ll pass….

    1. As we all know, every woman’s budget varies so expensive is relative. I don’t find them expensive.

    2. I found the flats at sketchers are soo comfortable and cheap!

  8. I was really excited to get a discount for another pair but since I’ve ordered before I couldn’t use your code. I like the pair of Rothy’s I have but wish I would have gone up a half size. Next time I will size up.

I just clicked on the link to save $20 and it said it has expired! Help!

    1. Hi Linda! Have you ordered from them before? Because a few folks are having success with the link, so I don’t believe it has expired.

      Here is the link: https://share.rothys.com/x/KidGRI

Sorry for the inconvenience! Their customer service is good and responsive if you want to give them a call?

      1. Linda Lennon says:

No I have not ordered from them before. Still getting that same message about the offer has expired. I’ll give them a call. Thanks!

  10. Unfortunately, the link says that the discounts are no longer available.

  11. Mary Ellen says:

Jennifer, so glad you posted about Rothy’s as I have been curious about them. Do you find that you wear your regular shoe size?

    1. I go between 9 and 9-1/2 in most shoes but since Rothy’s never stretch, I buy the 9/1/2.

  12. Rothys are the absolute BEST! So glad I found these shoes.
