Compassionate Makeup: Survivor Eyes

I’ve written many times about my struggles with hair thinning and loss. My eyebrows are also thinning, but for me, it’s an age-related and self-inflicted wound from over tweezing in my youth. For many women, it is the result of a battle with cancer.

Today I want to share with you a compassionate product called Survivor Eyes. When the company approached me to review their kit, I knew instantly that I wanted to share it with you. Who among us doesn’t have a loved one who has battled cancer or an illness that causes hair loss?

Survivor Eyes Eyebrow Kit

This was developed to help women restore their confidence while struggling with a potentially life-threatening diagnosis.

I’m fortunate to have an eyebrow shape to fill in but if you’ve lost all your hair, there is nothing to follow. You have a blank space and it’s hard to know where to begin.

Survivor Eyes Eyebrow kit

This kit comes with 10 eyebrow stencils, 2 brow coloring powders to mix for your perfect shade and one brow defining wax to add texture. It also includes instructions, a coloring brush, shaping brush and dual sided applicator brush.

Each stencil is in the shape of the Breast Cancer pink ribbon and has an inspiring label.

Simply choose a stencil to fit your face shape, hold tight against your clean dry skin and fill in with the powder then wax.

If you know someone struggling with eyebrow thinning or loss, do them a favor and tell them about Survivor Eyes.

Thanks for reading and style your day beautifully!

  1. My niece had eyebrow tattoos after chemo and found a person who specialized in eyebrows. She is very pleased with the result and said it was good for her morale.

    1. I think the secret is to find a talented person who knows what they are doing. Someone who specializes in eyebrows sounds like a great idea. I hope your niece is doing well!

  2. Rogaine did not work for me. For the short term, these products are wonderful. I want others to be aware that if they have no success with regrowing their eyebrows (my loss was permanent) a more long lasting option is available. After pencilling in brows for 15+ years I just had brows micro bladed this last week. I am thrilled with the results! Micro blading is a semipermanent process and must be done by someone trained and skilled. There are many on line videos explaining it. I just want to raise awareness for ladies whose brow loss is permanent. There is a solution!

    1. Thank you for sharing this, Anita. Rogaine is not meant to regrow eyebrows. I have never used in on my eyebrows and don’t recommend it. I use it only on the front portion of my scalp and have been lucky to have great success with it. I’ve heard of Microblading and know many women get terrific results!

  3. Jennifer, I simply love your blog! I read other lifestyle blogs, but yours is far and away my favorite. I love that you cover not just fashion, but beauty, cooking, travel, etc. – and all in such a self-deprecating, practical, fun way. I don’t often comment – but I’m reading EVERY post!

    1. That’s so kind of you to say, Candy! I’m honored to hear that and have you here. Thank you!

    2. Margie Watt says:

Ditto Jennifer! I am 61 and have just recently gone through three major surgeries, where my bowel burst and the surgeons had to separate the bowel from the stomach and months later reconnect. The whole procedure has taken just over a year, but I have been glued to your blogs! They truly have lifted my self esteem in so many ways. Please keep posting.

      1. Oh Margie, what a rough go you have had! I’m so sorry you’ve been having such a terrible time of it. You sound like a trouper. Sending good thoughts your way for continued improvement!! xo

  4. SurvivorEyes was inspired by my friend’s struggle with hair loss during chemo. She shared her feelings of desperation after struggling for hours to apply her brows one morning. She said she looked like “Goucho” or an angry emoticon and felt that she’d not be able to “look normal”, and vowed not leave the house until her hair grew back! As a breast cancer survivor, I know all too well how important it is to feel strong and confident, and set out to create a solution. SurvivorEyes delivers the solution, and so much more. SurvivorEyes has a noble purpose and a beautiful story behind the product, making it both valuable and memorable. The driving force behind SurvivorEyes is to empower women, and help them to feel strong and beautiful at a time they need it most. At SurvivorEyes Inc. we offer “Beauty With a Purpose” As an inventor and entrepreneur, there is no greater feeling of accomplishment than creating a product that solves a problem, helps people and warms the heart… I truly thank you for your interest & your support!

    1. I thank you for asking me to share this marvelous product!! Bravo for developing such a helpful tool for women.

  5. Chemotherapy for breast cancer caused me to lose every hair on my body. Brows can be especially hard for some women to pencil in, so good to know about this company. xoxox, Brenda

    1. Thanks for sharing Brenda! xo

  6. This is why I love your blog! Those special reviews that most mature women will appreciate! Thanks again, Kathleen

    1. Thank you, Kathleen!

  7. What a great product. I’m going onto their web site and check them out. Did it work well for you? Thanks.

    1. It filled mine in beautifully. I think the greatest benefit is that it provides a stencil so both brows look symmetrical when a woman has no baseline shape to start with.

  8. Sally Craig says:

    Thank you for this post.
I am trying rogaine due to your post, 31 days so far.

    I appreciate your candor.

    1. Good luck with the Rogaine, Sally! Keep at it for several months and let me know how it goes. I’m really hoping it helps you.

  9. Loved this post. My sister-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer. Even throughout her excruciating treatments, she wanted to look her best. This is such a great product. She lost her battle, but for others this is a godsend.

    1. I am so sorry for your loss, Eva. Thank you for sharing. I was so excited to share this with my readers because it is a godsend!

  10. This is a good makeup tool for any of us. I use castor oil on my eyebrows and also on my scalp. My doctor also told me that thinning eyebrows may be a sign of a problem with the thyroid.

    1. I used it on mine, and loved it, Donna!
I do have Thyroid problems and we are constantly trying to get my levels balanced.

      1. I was about to make the same comment about the thyroid…I have hypo thyroid and my brows are very thin…mother has no eyebrows left after she had quite a lot of radiation after her bout with breast cancer.
I wondered about having a brow tattoo cosmetic application but I am a wimp when it comes to pain! This might be a pain free answer!

      2. I’ve thought about tattooing as well, but I’ve seen some very bad results on others and am too afraid to commit. Plus the needles!
