Is There A Perfect T-Shirt?

A common uniform when I’m bopping around the house or running casual errands is usually skinny black pants or jeans, and a casual top. I always wear jewelry, usually a hat and often a scarf. I’ve seen lots of reviews of the Covered Perfectly T-shirts and wondered what all the hoopla was about.

When they asked me to review one I was anxious to try them. The fabric is MicroModal which is smooth, soft and breathes. It has great “memory” which means it has enough spandex to retain its shape.

The V-neck is a medium depth, which means everything stays covered when you bend over, but it’s low enough to showcase a necklace.

Is There A Perfect T-Shirt?

I love the 3/4 sleeves, which help you appear taller. It’s long enough to wear over leggings but not too bulky to tuck into my jeans. A nice feature, because extra fabric usually bunches and then I look lumpy.

This Teal color is a favorite of mine, but it also comes in White, Black, Blue, Kelly Green, Orchid, Royal Blue, and Violet. I’m wearing the medium.

Is There A Perfect T-Shirt?

It coordinates with this Kippy Belt, I bought many years ago. I was never a Cowgirl but I do love jewels!

I’ll be ordering the black because it’s a perfect staple for my wardrobe. I love that it’s made in the U.S. This color goes with a lot of my accessories, so it will get a lot of wear. I may actually need to order a second Teal.

Va-va-voom! You are a beautiful woman, Jennifer! It’s a great top and a pretty color, but you could make a feed sack look great.

What a lovely color for you. I’ve never tried this brand, but I will look for it now. Thanks for the wardrobe ideas!

How cute are you in these pictures??? Really, really cute!! I love Tees, too, and a little spandex is just what the style doctor ordered.

That color is stunning on you.

Jennifer, you look great and such a nice color on you.. funny thing is I just listed a cardigan in that color on eBay because I decided that shade of blue doesn’t suit me.

I wish NYDJ made longer lengths, I have a couple pairs I can at least wear boots with though. Another blogger recently mentioned Frame denim and I just bought two pairs of their higher waisted flared jeans. These are super long and no more muffin top. Nordstrom can’t seem to keep them in stock!

    Have a nice weekend!

Thanks Linda! I’m short so always have to hem my jeans. In just in between petite and regular which is frustrating too. I haven’t tried Frame denim. I’ll see if I can squeeze into a pair. A great pair of jeans that conquers the dreaded muffin top is always on my list. Thanks for sharing! Happy weekend to you too. xo

Well hello there ladies! Wow…your hubby is one lucky man. I know, a bit sexist but you look great in your perfect tee. Again, a track suit would look fab on you too. Am always looking for the perfect tee.

I keep tellin him how lucky he is :-))! What’s great is the V-neck isn’t too low so your ladies would stay covered!! Have a great weekend gorgeous.

Thanks so much Lorrie! . I totally agree about them being a wardrobe treasure. Dress it up, dress it down, it’s a perennial favorite of mine so I’m thrilled to find this quality at such a great price.

That teal color is so pretty on you. It is a very nice tee. The high quality fabric really makes a difference. I would suggest you definitely order another tee in this color while they still have it in stock. In my case, it is always my favorite color tops that get stained the quickest.

The necklace you are wearing with the tee is pretty. Do you know what type of stones it is made of?

    • Jennifer
      April 3, 2015 / 7:52 am

Thanks Susie! I love these teal. They’re curreently out of it in M but I’m orederi one as soon as they restock, plus a black.
The necklace is Labradorite, made with some vintage fittings. The color morphs between teals and gray blues, depending in what I’m wearing. It’s a very good match for my eyes, so I wear it a lot.

    Hello Jen,
I am a new reader. Your blog is a beautiful guide to life as a woman. I will be turning 35 this year and no longer consider myself a young lady and therefore, have a new perspective on life. I am grateful to have access to your wisdom and insights.

      April 2, 2015 / 6:28 pm

It’s a great fabric. This top fits closer to the body than I imagine some of their styles do, so size accordingly. It’s a perfect classic.

  21. April 2, 2015 / 11:18 am

Love that teal – looks great on you. This shirt also looks like it would travel well,…does it seem that it wouldn’t wrinkle much?

    • Jennifer
      April 2, 2015 / 6:26 pm

I think it would travel well. The fabric is so soft that any wrinkles wouldn’t be harsh or unwearable. This is the top, straight out of the mailing envelope. I didn’t press or steam it.

  22. April 2, 2015 / 10:56 am

Good morning Jen! You look so pretty in that teal. This looks like the perfect t-shirt. I like that it’s versatile enough to wear tucked in or wear out with leggings. The fabric looks luxurious. What fun to pair with a brand like this. Thanks for sharing the resource!
Have a great day my friend!

I’m going to wear it out, over leggings this weekend! Versatility in clothig is the name of the game when budget is an issue. Which it is for me, with my husband’s retirement in the very near future.

You look gorgeous in this color, Jennifer….and this is a perfect look for running errands or the weekend. I love the V neckline…I just think it is the most flattering.

    • Jennifer
      April 2, 2015 / 6:20 pm

Thanks Pam. I love teal. I waited for V-neck to be back in stock because with my broad shoulders, it’s the most flattering.
