WEARING – DENIM SHIRTSTRIPED SWEATERBOOTCUT JEANSGORE ANKLE BOOTIES

Fall is layering season so our outfits will work for fluctuating temperatures. That makes it a perfect season to play with textures and mix things up.

I’ve always been a fan of denim on denim so the first look features this Boyfriend Western Denim shirt combined with these Free Assembly Women’s High-Rise Bootcut Jeans. The shirt is medium-weight in organic cotton. I’m wearing the light indigo wash which is selling out fast. It also comes in black denim and 2 different plaids. It has a snap front closure and a relaxed boyfriend fit. They’re available in sizes XS-XXXL and run TTS, I’m wearing a small.

My booties are the Time and Tru Gore Ankle bootie that comes in sizes 6-11, medium and wide. I’m wearing a wide in Cognac and they are perfect for my wide foot. The memory foam insole and short block heel make them perfect for a day on your feet. They also come in 4 other colors and are a great basic for fall and through winter.

My Free Assembly Pullover Sweater is a navy and camel stripe that picks up the color of my booties which you know, always appeals to my matchy, matchy self:) It comes in three different color stripes, sizes XS-XXXL. It’s a soft, cozy, cotton blend with spandex for stretch. I am wearing a small.

Next, I switched things up with the prettiest coral color.

I just love this color. It’s called Coral Bisque which is not too warm, not too cool but a perfect neutral for fall that mixes and coordinates with lots of other colors. Its neck is loose so you don’t get that strangled feeling some turtlenecks give and the short sleeves give it lots of versatility. It also comes in 5 other great colors sized XS-XXXL to layer into your fall wardrobe. It runs TTS, I am wearing a small.

These are the Free Assembly Women’s High-Rise Bootcut Jeans. These jeans are a blend of cotton, elastomultiester, and elastane that’s super comfy. What is elastomultiester you ask? I had to look it up too 🙂 It’s an advanced double fiber that was developed for jeans that gently stretches and recovers in every direction so it retains its fit, and moves with you.

They have a nice high rise and a slim bootcut that fits over your shoes and boots.  I’m wearing the medium wash #37 in size 8. They also come in black and very dark denim wash in sizes 0-22 with a 32″ inseam. I’m wearing mine with the bottom folded under until I wash and dry once, then I will hem them.

I topped it with this Free Assembly Donegal Tweed Womans Grandpa Cardigan. The navy seems to be sold out but they still have it in a gorgeously soft, Heather color. It’s in a chunky yarn that’s super cozy and just slightly oversized, in sizes XS-XXXL. I am wearing a small.

MORE FUN SWEATERS BY FREE ASSEMBLY

I haven’t found any of this Free Assembly line in my local Walmarts yet so I’d suggest you call your store to check or order online for the best selections. At these prices, it’s easy to see how you can create a stylish, functional wardrobe of separates you can mix, layer, and assemble with ease.

A big thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post and you, my readers for supporting the brands that support this site.

Thanks Jennifer- really cute clothes and they fit your slim figure too! The sweater is especially great for fall days when a tunic or a chambray shirt are just not enough!

  5. Loved everything about this – sustainable, attractive, and budget friendly! I like clothes that actually fit my smaller women. And they got the Donegal tweed look right. Thank you so much for showing these!

    1. The Donegal tweed is impressive:)

  6. Nice outfits!!!!! What kind of bag would you wear with these outfits?

    1. I would wear a crossbody. If your style runs to a more casual look, a nice slouchy shoulder bag would compliment them too.,

  7. Lorrie Orr says:

Great outfits. I love wool sweaters, but am allergic to them, so I’m always on the lookout for cotton or silk blends. Love the chunky cardigan.

  8. Gwen Marie Ewing says:

  9. Love it when clothes are shown that I can’t actually afford, I find time and tru to be a good brand. My store has the grandpa cardigan but only in this color. I need navy. Love the chambray collar popped and the boots. What’s good about Fall is everything is not tucked in at the waist. You look picture perfect!

  10. Great post! I’m always looking for affordable casual clothing now that I am retired and the cost of almost everything has risen. Hoped to check out the booties because your description of them gave me hope for my often tired feet but sadly they were already sold out in my size. Hoping they will be back in stock.

    1. They have a lot of booties in wide this year which is great and that memory foam is awesome!!

  11. This is my kind of post! I wear jeans most days in the fall and winter and the budget friendly price is perfect! Thank you!

    1. They really are. I’m wearing mine today again.

  15. Great outfits. And thanks for showing a budget-friendly alternative. Many women can’t afford the larger stores like Nordstrom’s, even when there is a sale. The striped sweater and denim shirt combo is a winner!
