Faux Fur and Denim

Faux Fur and Denim

Accessories are my favorite way to change-up my look. Adding a scarf or wrap provides a level of polish that always appeals to me. I’m reaching for this Faux Fur more than I thought I would.

This Lauren Faux Fur Ruana from Chico’s works as a scarf or wrap.  I chose it for the rich color and I’m wearing it a lot this fall.

Last weekend I added it to a pair of jeans and long sleeve T-shirt. It adds a feeling of opulence and fun to a casual look.

The Lauren Ruana wrap is actually knit yarn so stretchy, flexible and very easy to wear. Here’s a picture of the back when I wore it over a white shirt.

I popped it over a chambray shirt and slim skirt this weekend. There were bright sunny breaks between rain storms so I got Lucy out for a quick walk before heading out to lunch and the movies.

I love the proportion of short over longer. I have a long torso and short legs so this reverse proportion helps make my legs appear longer.

Black boots and tights keep the eye moving from waist to ground. I flipped this super versatile Planet matte jersey skirt around and wore the asymmetrical slit in front for ease of movement.

As I got warm walking Lucy, I scrunched the Ruana around my neck like a scarf.

I’m not tucking much in these days so tied the shirt at my waist.

Have you noticed how some accessories end up being more useful than anticipated? This wrap is in heavy rotation in my wardrobe these days.

What are you reaching for this fall?

You look great. I like how you reversed your skirt, very creative!
That ruana looks very versatile. I have variety of scarves in rotation right now. With all the rain we have had these last weeks, my umbrella is the one true accessory I am never without (hahaha). Suz from Vancouver

Being from Vancouver, an umbrella would be mandatory:)! I’ve needed mine lately too, which is unusual for CA.
