I pack light when I travel so rely on accessories to change up my look. For this week’s trip to Iceland, I packed even less than usual and brought few accessories.
You’ve hit your Style Sweet Spot when your appearance is sending the message you intend, and you feel confident that you look your best. This week we’re sharing the power of accessories.
My look has been very similar most days of this trip to Iceland. A top, pant, jacket, hat and scarf…or scarves.
I’m on the move, so people don’t know I’m wearing the same jacket and hat everyday.
I brought 5 scarves, 2 hats (one I’ve never worn), one jacket, one down vest and 1 pair of earrings. A typical outfit for hiking. I’m wearing my hat under my hood! It shields my face from sun and rain.
A typical outfit for sitting in hot springs and spending the day soaking in thermal pools. Yes, I’m wearing earrings. I don’t go under the water.
I brought my favorite earrings for a special reason. My Mom bought these on our trip to Ireland together, 42 years ago. She loved to travel but her chance to see much of the world was cut way too short by disease. I wanted to bring her with me to Iceland, a place she never saw.
Our accessories can stretch a small wardrobe, dress up an outfit and hold precious memories.
My hat now holds priceless memories of our family time in Iceland.
Now let’s pop over to see how Pam hits her Style Sweet Spot in accessories.
Have a great week!
