Quantcast

How Would You Wear This?

Happy Wednesday ladies. Let’s have a little fun with fashion. I saw this mannequin yesterday and wondered what you’d think. I know I would not wear this outfit as shown so I played around with a few options. The stores are all smaller here in Canada with fewer options, but I did my best. The new fall stuff should be coming in soon too, so summer stock is low.

As always, you can click any red text link for more details and to shop for each item.

So what are your thoughts? Is this an outfit that would catch your attention? Does it inspire you with ways to style it?

What could you do with it?

I’m going to start with the obvious…what good is a UV-resistant tank top? There’s not enough fabric to protect much of you. Beyond that, the color is very pretty:)

As is, I am not a fan of this look for me so I grabbed a few other items to style with it.

The dressing room was very dark and my phone could only do so much to correct the colors so I would trust what you see on the website.

So what are your thoughts ladies? Please share your styling ideas so we can all inspire each other.

it seems to me the white black combination is good, the black is not for everyone. I have seen kahki used recently, the kind that is almost brown. I think this colour will have its day this fall as people tire of black , which does not do much for blondes. so , yes, the dark olive green and warm taupes should be triend in belts bags and outer layers. Gold chains are always chic.

IMO the pants are not flattering, even on tiny people. The pleats make everyone look thick between the waist and the crotch. The extra fabric just adds bulk. The top is cute but I could only wear it with a jacket (white denim is great!) over it. I would add some interesting jewelry to dress it up a bit.

IMHO this a matronly look especially on a shorter person. Your arms are amazingly toned and the tank is so flattering particularly compared to the short sleeve more blouson top in the same colour.

I think the outfit is more for young women/girls and not something for someone who is busty or hippy! I like the way you styled it with the white jeans jacket the best, although the coat look is a close second!
As I am always one to go with color or at least something of contrast, I would add color with a patterned scarf, or a more colorful jacket and then pull out the color of the jacket in a scarf. A nice contrast would be a patterned black and white scarf or black and beige scarf and a black bag. I think that would upgrade the look a bit.

We live in a warm climate and wearing cool tank type tops and white is a year round thing. I have to wear a bra so no bra less tops for me. And wearing all white from head to toe , all limbs covered , can be tricky, I break it up.
These featured pieces are all nice basics. I recently wavered between buying a white linen Levi style jacket and a linen taupe one. I finally chose the taupe and really glad I did. It’s great with white and almost any other solid color.
