Look of the Week: Carol Turner

Look of the Week: Carol Turner

I love the look of all white. It’s fresh, clean and feels like summer to me. An all white outfit is always more interesting with the addition of texture and today’s look, has plenty of that!

I have several tops and 2 dresses in this amazing Fiore fabric so when I saw this tunic, I knew I would love it!

This special Fiori fabric is custom made for Carol Turner by a mill outside of Milan. The cotton/nylon blend is breathable yet substantial enough to wear year round.

It is designed and made in the USA from a signature Italian knit with angled, undulating pleats that are very flattering and travel like a dream. And remember, texture in garments reduces the appearance of texture on our faces!

Carol designs and manufactures her clothes in San Angelo, Texas. She’s focused on providing clothing that is both comfortable and sophisticated- “just like the women we live and work with.”

The slightly A-line shape floats over your body showing your shape without clinging. The pointed, asymmetrical hemline is slightly fluttery and the perfect length to cover leggings or slim pants.

I paired it with my white Montreal ankle pants by Lysette, pale rose-colored sandals and a blush shoulder bag for a light, airy feel.

This top is just my style and will be in heavy rotation in my wardrobe this summer. I love the fit, the silhouette, the color and the fabric. It’s an easy style with a sophisticated feel. For reference, I am wearing the top in size small.

I’m bosomy. Will that top make me look even bigger?

The higher the neckline the more bosomy the look. This isn’t a crew neck but it also isn’t low cut so it might.

But aren’t your pants always supposed to cover part of your shoes, hitting your foot on the arch? I love all white like this look, but don’t understand the length. Thanks!

It depends on the style of pant and width of the pant leg, Linda. These are ankle pants meant to expose the ankle. I like wider legged pants longer but some new styles are even showing those shorter.

Love how keeping it monochromatic makes us “shrimps” look taller! This outfit looks fabulous on you. I am so tempted to order that shirt! I LOV IT!

i really like this outfit , the shoes and purse are great with the white , i should look at the lysette pant , i have a hard time with white pants , they seem to be too thin, i dont like seeing the pockets or any leg wrinkles , if you know what i mean .. do you size up on your white pants , i heard it was a good idea..have a great day

I hear you with the white pants, Renee! The Lysette fabric is nice and thick, unlike others I have tried. I did not size up in these. Leg wrinkles seem to be an inevitable issue with white pants, I ignore them 🙂
