Dressing for a casual day running errands doesn’t mean looking sloppy to me. I’ve recently added more sporty looks to my wardrobe, but I still like them to feel polished.
I love navy this year. It’s more flattering than black on my complexion and feels less intense. Black says serious and navy says casual.
I love this classic henley top from Covered Perfectly. The color makes my eyes pop and it’s A-line shape floats away from my middle, rather than cling.
Tight clothes that show lumps and bumps are not my favorite these days. Those extra 6 pounds I’m wearing are all around my waistline:(
I don’t want baggy clothes either because those make me look larger than I am. Subtle, strategic volume is what I look for these days.
I love the crisp look of navy with white. Since my legs are slim I chose these Metro leggings in white. If I had heavier thighs I’d choose darker pants.
Style Tip: Light colors advance and make things appear larger. Dark colors recede and make things appear smaller.
It’s 3/4 sleeves help me look taller, are a perfect showcase for my bracelets and the v-neck is a good balance for my wide shoulders.
I paired these with my navy, canvas sneakers from Target. The little bit of matching helps me feel a bit polished. My kind of sporty.
