Make Your Statement with Confidence: Artful Home

Make Your Statement with Confidence: Artful Home

Have you ever walked into a room and just knew you owned it? I love that feeling! It’s heady…it’s confidence…and it feels powerful. It’s how I want every woman to feel.

This weekend I was at the BAM conference for midlife bloggers in Las Vegas, representing Artful Home. I knew I needed to look fabulous each day and feel confident in this room full of professional bloggers. Wearing Artful Home ensured I looked great, but the soar in my confidence was a boost I didn’t expect.

Hit Your Style Sweet Spot

Style has the power to transform your confidence. Working from the outside in, women can boost their confidence by hitting their Style Sweet Spot. Pam Lutrell and I began this series, Hit Your Style Sweet Spot, to help and inspire those women who are struggling with their appearance. Each week we choose a scenario to show why, what and how we dress to reach our style sweet spot. Your style sweet spot is when you feel confident about your appearance and know you are sending the message you want people to see.

Last week Pam and I showed how we dress for our body types. This week we’re dressing to make a statement. A statement of confidence…of great style.

Haven Top by Porto from Artful Home

Friday I wore my Haven Top and Traveler Crop Pant by Porto from Artful Home. They both have incredible stretch in their fabric, look stylish and are incredibly comfortable.

Make Your Statement with Confidence: Own the Room

This vest is a showstopper. Women came up to me all day just to touch it and ask about it.

Make Your Statement With Confidence: Own the Room

Saturday I wore a show stopper. Women approached me all day to touch and ask about this Ombre Ralli Vest by Mieko Mintz from Artful Home. I’m totally in love with its subtle hand dyed soft colors, bursts of ralli embroidery and traditional kantha quilting. Watch for it in another post, worn reversed with solid black and border embroidery.

I wrapped the vest close to my body and belted it to give a slim silhouette. Worn open, the  front lapels drape in a stunning cascade. I’ll share in a later post.

All weekend I carried this Yoshi Bag by Jutta Neumann from Artful Home, in the Platinum color.

It was a huge hit with the ladies. Large enough to carry my laptop, water bottle and clutch…it was the perfect accompaniment to every day. It’s soft gleam was just my style!

This vest looks great coming and going so my last impression was as great as my first!

The conference is over. I’m leaving Las Vegas. My vest and I are off to see what other rooms we can own, and walk into with confidence.

Make Your Statement with Confidence

Now lets pop over and see how Pam hits her Style Sweet Spot..

My intention is to meet the needs of every woman in this audience. I work for many brands and I hope you will return to experience all of them. You matter to me and thanks so much for your comments.

You always find the best pieces. Have you considered an online boutique? You have the loveliest taste!

That vest is stunning. It’s not in my budget, but I love being able to see this type of fashion on a ‘regular’ person vs a catwalk. You really look amazing in it.

Can you tell me what the top is you’re wearing under it? I love the sheer sleeves. Gives the look of ‘almost’ bare arms. Thanks!

imlove the Artful Home clothing but like the others just can’t pay it. There is a top you have that I love but it’s almost 200.000. Wish I could but I can’t

Maggie please take the inspiration of the style and look for it at your price point. We all have varying budgets but great style is available at all price points.

Wow, that is a fantastic vest! Isn’t amazing how wonderful you feel in a great piece of clothing like that? At the lower end of that scale, I was out and about the other day in a colorful Chico’s jacket that I got at a thrift shop, and three different women asked if they could buy it from me (one quite seriously). Quite a confidence builder!

You and your vest were smashing! I’m happy to know about this brand.

My husband is an Artful Home aficianado, which is fortunate for me because I received this handmade vest in black one Christmas. It is wonderfully soft, comfortable, and versatile as apparel, but also an extraordinary work of art. One wonders how artist, Mieko Mintz, could possibly have made a profit for her hours of handwork in this piece.

The amount of work, handmade work, in this vest is staggering. I adore it. Lucky you!

You certainly did own the room. Enjoyed meeting you in person & experiencing your impeccable style first hand!

It was great fun to meet you too!

This was by far the most desired outfit of the conference. I was with her as woman after woman wanted this vest. We also ran into another lady who purchases from Artful Home regularly…so there are those out there who can enjoy investment clothing at this price point. Isn’t it great to have options??

Love both looks! But I cannot afford the vest either. Sometimes I think it’s fun to pop over to Macy’s and try to duplicate looks I see on fashion blogs, for a lot less money. Of course, this vest is not something you could do that with, but a lot of times I am successful. I do wish that most bloggers would keep budgets more in mind. my annual clothing budget, as a retired person, is barely more than this vest!

Finding duplicate looks isn’t always possible but there’s always options to get a similar look. Thanks for reading.

I’m a big fan of Artful Home, but like your other folks just can’t justify it. There are plenty of options out there. You looked great.

The vest is BEAUTIFUL, but $850 is too steep for most people’s budgets, mine included ;(. I love how you styled it

I’m glad you enjoyed how I styled it. I’m trying to show options for all price points. Please use this inspiration to find a similar look, in your price range. Long vests are a wonderful option for women over 50 and very popular right now. Thank you for reading.

Let me start by saying you look fabulous in these outfits! In fact you always look fabulous! So does Pam. And I love the clothes you style from Artful Home. However, I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that their prices are higher than many of your readers can afford (at least more than I can afford). I do wish you would show other less expensive similar items as well.
