Dressing Room Diaries:Target for Spring

Dressing Room Diaries:Target for Spring

Happy Friday ladies! I was in Target for packing tape this week (update soon) and spotted some fun new clothes. Target has added several new lines this year which has really upped their selections. The colors are fresh and the shapes are very wearable.

Me being me, started with black and white.

Their Who What Wear collection had a lot of graphic stripes and checks which looked modern. I loved this gingham shirtdress. I’m not a fan of shirttail hemlines on skirts or dresses so would wear it over leggings or pants. Plus size hereThese buckle sandals are amazingly comfortable. They feel secure and stable and have a cushioned footbed.

This modern Trench Coat was too large or it would have come home with me. I love the ribbon belt and matching ties at the sleeve. Plus size here. I think it runs large because I am usually a medium but this swam on me. It also comes in Tan.

Here’s a better look at the polka dot top. I loved how it covered the waistline but wasn’t too long.  I tried it on with these pretty pink jeans but sadly, they only had sizes that were painfully small or swam on me. Ever notice that the woman who wears your exact size has cleaned out the stuff you like before you get to the store? #Murphy’sLawJennifer Connolly of A Well Styled Life wearing denim jacket from Target

This white denim jacket is a classic shape and can’t be beaten at $29.99. It’s a cotton and spandex blend which stretches for comfort.

SPRING STYLES AT TARGET

This wrap front tank comes in several nice colors…I loved the classic navy. It’s long enough to cover your waistline without obliterating your shape.Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled life wearing sporing fashion from Target

This short sleeved button shirt is a lightweight and classic. I like the olive color white jeans.

This floral top was fresh looking and easy to wear. I see it dressed up or down. It is sleeveless so I was happy to find this coordinating cardigan. This one is 2 sizes too large but you get the idea.

I have to say the prices are simply amazing at Target. These are not investment clothes but perfect for trying a trend, new color or shape and also staples you replace every season.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Really enjoyed today’s post. I have been eying some of these items at Target but haven’t tried anything on. I had the same thoughts about price and trying them out.

Love the styling of the gingham dress. I’ve been in the mood for something gingham lately but my brain kept thinking farm hand. Your look (now my look) is so much better
Haven’t quite figured out if the knot hemline tee (like the polka dot) would work for me…
    Love your dressing room diaries…

I go to the San Ramon Target about once a week, and don’t buy any clothes there except workout clothing. Your post makes me think I need to check out their clothing a little more…thanks Jennifer!

The San Ramon one is very limited with clothing. The super Targets like in WC and east Dublin have a huge selection.

Thanks! I have been looking for a white denim jacket ever since I saw it on you over black – I have a lot of black in my wardrobe, too. At that price, I could happily try it out. I usually like my outer wear to cover my waist (I get cold easily).
Definitely will plan a trip to Target soon!

My favourite on you is the gingham trench coat and in the right size it would work. What’s the quality of your Target clothes like?Target here has some good items too and I need to pay them a visit.

Packing is progressing really well. The container arrived today so we can offload some things and make the house less crowded. The quality is excellent! I think you’ll like them.

Thanks for showing these off, Jennifer. I don’t get into Target too often, but when I do, I love to look at their clothes. They have really done a fabulous job staying on trend and making clothes that look nice. – Amy

The floral top and the white denim jacket are my favourite Dressing Room looks today. They would even go nice together.

I’ve enjoyed shopping Target in the US in the past and was I so excited when they announced that they were moving into Canada. What a disappointment! The shelves were consistently half empty and the merchandise that was available was of lowest quality. Needless to say, it was a flop that lasted less that two years. 🙁

They were a disaster in Canada. They looked no better than the Zellers the replaced in my town. The US ones vary with the superstores being better

Wow that white denim jacket is exactly like the one I payed 139.00 for last year. If anyone is looking for a jacket that really ups your style game go right now and purchase the Target version!! I do wear mine a lot so it will pay for itself…white looks a lot dressier than the regular blue washes and super cute over a sun dress!! ( although I do love my blue!) I do lament the closing of Target in Canada but it never was as good as the American Targets. Zellers are all closed in my city except one that is like a discount store for HBC. Old Navy, H&M have taken over. In Canada Walmart is not bad for clothing ( you gotta be VERY picky) and I have found some really cute items there too. A bell sleeve spring jacket I bought 9 years ago is again having a fashion moment!!

Everything does come back around. I have a bell sleeved, faux fur leopard coat that’s right back in style. My white denim jacket is looking a bit worn so this one may end up as its replacement.
