Buttoned Tunic for Women Over 50

Buttoned Tunic for Women Over 50

Happy Sunday ladies! Yesterdays “would you wear” it was a slam dunk in the hell no tank. I stopped in my tracks when I saw it displayed on a mannequin because it had so many design flaws. Some of your comments had me laughing out loud so thanks for the chuckle.

Today I’m styling a new top from Covered Perfectly. These tops are designed specifically for women over 40, 50 and beyond to give you flattering garments in luxurious fabric.

This is the Olivia Buttoned A-Line in ivory.

It’s also available in black with ivory buttons and olive with black buttons.Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled Life modeling Covered perfectly buttoned top

I styled it with skinny stretch pants, black sandals, and some unique pearls for a semi-classic look.

It’s made from Covered Perfectly’s super soft micromodal fabric with 6% spandex. The five contrasting buttons are for decoration and don’t open. The button band is nicely off center which is always a slimming look.Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled Life modeling Olivia Buttoned A-Line top from Covered Perfectly

The 3/4 sleeve is a personal favorite because it’s great for showcasing bracelets and helps us look taller. It’s fit and flare shape drops straight and doesn’t cling to the tummy.Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled Life modeling Olivia Buttoned A-Line top from Covered Perfectly

For reference, I am wearing a large. I sized up because I like things looser in lighter colors. These tops are hand wash hang dry to maintain the fabric softness.

You can see their entire MicroModal collection here.

I do love the contrast between the ivory fabric and the black buttons, the sleeve length and that it’s tunic style. But, I’m short, large in the bust and tops that drape from the bust rather than slightly more fitted at the waist do not look good on me, to say the least. 🙂

You look great! Black and cream, such a classic look. The necklace is a nice detail.

Very cute. Would you be so kind as to give us the name of the bra or foundation you are wearing to hide the lines?

I wear nude lingerie almost exclusively. This one is from Target called Simply Perfect. It’s non underwire
