Look of the Week: Sneakers and Tee

Happy Monday ladies. We packed up our little RV trailer and hit the road on Saturday. Unfortunately, my husband’s man cold hit me like a sledgehammer. I’m feeling anything but chipper. I traveled wearing a great tee, my most comfy jeans, and sneakers. An unusually casual outfit for me but…man cold.

After a long drive, we arrived in San Diego and found this view from our campsite.mission bay in san diego

The weather is warm and sunny with the loudest sound being seagulls. Just what I need.

Last Saturday’s post about going gray generated a lot more attention than I anticipated and prompted many of you to share your feelings. Thank you! That’s one of the things I love most about this blog. The give-and-take of women supporting other women with a sense of community.

I’ve been thinking of starting a private Facebook community page so we can talk and share in a private forum. It would be a place you could ask questions, start conversations and would allow us to connect in a more secure environment. Let me know in the comments if that’s something you’d be interested in.Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled Life with a short bob

Several of you asked in your comments to see my sassy new haircut. I not feeling sassy, but here it is. My stylist cut long layers around the center of my head just above my ears. I like this much better than my last cut and hope to grow out more of my gray so I can decide if I like it on me.

I hope you have a great week and thanks for reading.

  1. I loved the comments on silver/gray. My silver is pretty but very patchy. I think about it before every hair appt but keep waiting for some consistency. I would love a private facebook group.

  2. Simple outfit = Cute outfit. Your haircut looks fresh. Hard to believe you were not feeling your best because you certainly look right as rain.

  3. Love your haircut! I would love a facebook page too. What color is the lipstick you havr on? Very pretty color.

  4. I’d love the private face book page. I really like your hair cut and it has been a style that I have been considering for a while.
    It looks amazing on you.

  5. Love your haircut! I also have thinning hair, mainly along front hairline, which limits my hair do options.????. Private page sounds great!

  6. Jennifer, I absolutely Love your new hairstyle! It looks very chic and youthful. I have fine hair that is highlighted as well, and have a similar cut. I think it gives my hair more volume. The Facebook page is a great idea, I look forward to your posts and the comments associated with it. Thanks for keeping me up to date on your ideas and fashion sense.

  7. A private page sounds good. Have a great time and feel better soon. I’d never know you weren’t feeling well. I wish I was travelling to warm weather. Deep freeze still here and 4 colds since the beginning of Sept. Ugh!

  8. Yes I’d be very interested in a Facebook group/page. And I do think your hair looks really good that way. Loved it longer too, but this is a nice change. Thanks for always sharing your life with us!

  9. A private page sounds wonderful! I’m in! Love your hair. I hope the cold leaves in a hurry! I wish I looked that good when I have a cold. 🙂
