Can you ever take sun protection too far? I don’t think so and my dermatologist agrees. I was back in to see her last week to check the spot she burned off my forearm a few weeks ago. Luckily the spot was fine and we’re hoping I won’t get a white spot of depigmentation from it. #hazardsofsundamage
She did surprise me though, by complimenting me on my shirt! She recognized it because she has several in her
I take my sun protection seriously so when Purple poppy showed me this shirt, I wanted to try it. I’m not the outdoorsy athletic type but I do have several brands of sun protective clothing I rely on and am always on the lookout for new ones.
We’d gone out to grab photo’s of this Ibkul top before I raced off to the dermatologist. It felt soft and comfortable but I assumed it might get hot because of its long sleeves and zipped up neckline so I planned to crank up the AC until I could get home and change.
Imagine my surprise to be completely comfortable even though the temps were in the high 80’s! It turns out this zip neck top by Ibkul, is made from a patented high-tech fabric called ICEFIL. It actually cools the body up to five degrees! It has a UPF 50 rating along with moisture wicking, and antimicrobial features.
My dermatologist and I agreed that our dé·colle·tée seems to be taking the worst beating as we get older. This zipper neckline gives you options for an extra level of protection. I unzipped it here to show you but zipped it up for the walk to my car and the drive to and from the doctor.
Do you wear sun protective clothing? I will be looking for more things in this amazing fabric because it does exactly what it promises and is comfy to boot.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Thanks to Purple Poppy for partnering on this post. They provided the shirt and I was compensated; all opinions are my own.
