Treat Yourself For The Holiday’s

This time of year, my battle with parched skin gets harder to win. Dry indoor air and nasty weather make it harder than ever to stay ahead of the tight, parched feeling my skin can get. Today I’m sharing a special sale and my top City Beauty Products for dry skin.

This post is sponsored by City Beauty, and all opinions are my own. Thanks for supporting the brands that support AWSL.

Back in August, City Beauty reached out to have me try some of their products. I agreed once I learned that they’re not only cruelty-free, they’re a Leaping Bunny and PETA-certified brand. Their pro-aging products offer science-backed solutions for so many of our beauty and skincare needs. Plus, all their products are free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, formaldehyde, or mineral oil which is important to me.

City Beauty Invisicrepe Body Balm

I’ve been using and loving their Invisicrepe Body Balm, which helps reduce the appearance of crepey skin with hydrating ingredients that protect our skin barrier. It contains natural jojoba, stabilized vitamin C, niacinamide, lipids, and a host of other skin-nourishing ingredients.

INVISICREPE BODY BALM

I slather this mostly on my upper arms. Even though they’re covered in clothes this time of year, they tend to get flakey, which, strangely enough, makes my sweaters feel itchy. This body balm works amazingly well and feels luxurious going on. I think I mentioned last time that I wish it came in a gallon-size tub to bath in.

City Beauty Multi-Action Sculpting Cream

TheirĀ Multi-Action Sculpting Cream has proven to be a favorite! It contains a lot of great ingredients, including powerful peptides, vitamin E, and one of my all-time favorite skincare ingredients, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Extract. Green Tea can improve skin regeneration through its anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and toning properties. This cream feels amazing going on and leaves my skin feeling very soft and highly moisturized.

CITY BEAUTY MULTI-ACTING SCULPTING CREAM

I use it morning and night after my serums soak in. It feels very soothing, even when my Rosacea is acting up. They include a little spatula so you can scoop out just what you need and not contaminate what’s in the jar…very smart!

Line Smoothing HydroMasks

I’ve also been incorporating these Line Smoothing HydroMasks into my routine and just love them. I discovered sheet masks on my trip to Japan with my daughter and enjoy finding new ones.

LINE-SMOOTHING HYDROMASK

One of my wellness goals for 2023 is to make Friday evening a spa night at home, and these masks are perfect for it. The box includes five. I just unfold one, peel the protective layer away and apply it to my clean face, smoothing it to fit over my facial contours. I’ve tried tons of these sheet masks and can easily say these fit much better than most. Then I just relax for 15-20 minutes and let the ingredients soak in.

Don’t let the Freddy Kruger vibe fool you. These bio-cellulose sheet masks are loaded with a plumping serum that’s made with free-radical fighting antioxidants, collagen-supporting peptides, and skin-nourishing ingredients. After 20 minutes, I remove the mask and rub the remaining product into my skin. Easy-peasy, and my face feels wonderfully refreshed and hydrated.

City Lips Plumping GlossĀ

This is the product that launched this company in 2002, won the prestigious Good Housekeeping Award, and has become a cult favorite. It’s a plumping lip gloss that provides deep hydration and long-lasting comfort while smoothing out the appearance of your lips.

CITY LIPS PLUMPING GLOSS

I always avoid gooey lipsticks because they wick up the lines in my mouth. Because all lipstick sticks to my temporary crown, I often just wear lip pencils these days. The problem is they tend to make my lips look flat and dry. I tried adding this City Lips Plumping Gloss over just the lip pencil, and it stays put! My lips feel hydrated and moisturized, plus I must admit, lips with some shine look a lot younger than dry ones.

City Lips Matte

CITY LIPS MATTE

I’m anxious to try City Lips Matte, because it comes in this gorgeous Rosy Mauve, plus I know it will stay put.

Right now, through December 18, you can use code JENNIFER35 and save 35% off everything at City Beauty, plus enjoy free shipping on orders over $50.

It’s a great time to treat yourself for the holidays because we have lots of dry months ahead of us.

Thanks for reading, and be sure to treat yourself extra special this season.

Hi, I have never tried City Beauty but it sounds very appealing especially the masks and mascara.
Also the lip gloss sounds great. Canā€™t wait to try some of their products.
Oh, by the way I love your new hairdo. It seems a little shorter and gives it a fuller look.
Iā€™m interested in middle school books and purchased all of your brothers books and I enjoyed reading them. I hope he has more coming up. Iā€™ll keep an eye out for them.
Happy Holidays to you and yours . Karen Ziegler

    1. I’m so glad you enjoyed the books; I did too:) I’m never too old for reading a little adventure.

  2. I’ve used City Beauty for six months and from day one have found they do what they say! Mascara delivers moisturized lush lashes with minimal effort, no irritation to my sensitive eyes. Tube lasts a long time. City Lips Matte [Pink Taupe] is long wearing, with delightful minty scent and cooling effect. Another fave is City Lips Plumping Lip Gloss [Plum Springs] with slight shimmer. Uplift Firming Serum I use 2x day and see results; non-sticky absorption. Recently began Restoring Hand Treatment and Lid Lifting Treatment. Lid product is in very small tube. I appreciate the way City Beauty respects its customers. My beauty dollars are well spent because the products work.

    1. Thank you for letting me know. I’ll order that mascara and give it a try!

  3. Hi Jennifer. You look lovely in that shade of brown. I also loved the post showing your haircut. Love it. I was inspired to order some of the products in todayā€™s post. The discount code did not work. I would like to try the lip gloss.

    1. Oh no! I’ve just tried the code, and it worked for me. Where did you type it in?

  4. I use the invisicrepe balm now and this is my second container, I also have the lip balm their products work great. I will have to try the sculpting crĆØme.

  5. Too bad these products are so pricy.

    1. 35% off will certainly help!

  6. Has anyone tried the Line Blurring Wrinkle Filler?

  7. I have used the City Lips Plumping Gloss (clear) for about a year now. It is very hydrating, and while I use it, the tiny vertical lines above my lips appear diminished. I am now trying their hand cream and hope to add a face cream soon. I’ll check out the price with your discount. Thanks for keeping us updated on your progress with these City Beauty products.

    1. I just started the lip gloss and really like it! Good to know it helps with the lines too.

  8. Paula Green says:

    Jennifer,
I always enjoy your product reviews and recommendations.
I have tried many new products over the last few years thanks to you and have not been disappointed once.
My skin and hair are similar to yours, but I’m the brunette versionšŸ˜Š
I can’t wait to try a few of these products!

    1. Let me know how it goes!

  9. Hi Jennifer~
Thanks for being in my inbox this morning.
    These products look great!
I am allergic to a few things so will research the ingredients. I suffer from excema!

You look lovely in that brown sweater!

    Have a great day.

    1. Excema is a tough one! Happy Monday

  10. I have rosacea too & Iā€™m always on the hunt for products that will hydrate but not irritate my skin. Your skin looks beautiful. Iā€™ll give City Beauty a try. Thank youā€¦

    1. They do have added fragrance which always bothers me in other face creams but for some reason, this one doesnā€™t, so Iā€™m hooked. Itā€™s a light pleasant scent too.

      1. Terry in TX says:

Jennifer, thank you for mentioning the fragrance. I am very scent-sensitive.

  11. If I want to wear my usual makeup then I need to be more dedicated than ever to basic skin care.
Obviously, youā€™ve got a routine that results in creating a soft, natural base for your makeup. So prettyā€¦

  12. This time of year is so hard on your skin especially when you walk everyday as we do. I’m always looking for new products, these sound wonderful.

  13. You and your skin really look good! Please tell us what eyeshadow you have on your eyelids! Thank you!

    1. Iā€™ve gone back to my Tartelette In Bloom palette. I love how it smells too. Funny, I know.

  14. I’m with you as to wishing the InvisiCrepe Body Balm ‘came in a gallon-size tub’ as really notice of late that I could really use a good ironing …. lol! That being said; it appears the products are working for you Jennifer as you look absolutely radiant.
    -Brenda-
P.S.: Love your chili pepper tree and can relate why it is so special to you.

    1. Lol, ironing! Iā€™d like to include my knees in that šŸ™‚

  15. Do they have products specifically for the neck area?
    Love the haircut!

    1. They may but I just spread my sculpting cream from forehead down my neck and dĆ©colletage. I donā€™t bother with special cream for eyes and neck. Iā€™ve tried others but end up forgetting to use them.

  16. Glad to see a review on City Beauty products! The masks are intriguing. Did you try any of their products for eyes?

    1. I havenā€™t yet, but to be honest I just spread the Sculpting Cream everywhere.

  17. Pat Patterson says:
