Sparkle In Palm Springs

Sparkle In Palm Springs

Happy Friday ladies. Who else is ready for the weekend asks the woman who is frantically waving her upraised arm and wishing she was back in Palm Springs.

I don’t travel with fine jewelry because I worry about losing it so for our trip to Palm Springs, I brought and wore my Victoria Emerson watches and bracelets. They’re affordable and fun.

Back in October, I stacked two mini boho bracelets to get the chunky look I prefer. That bracelet is sold out but luckily she’s now making the same silvery, white and aqua colors in this large boho cuff. Her large boho bracelets are my very favorite because they have a magnetic closure which makes them a breeze to put on and take off.

For our first day of running around Palm Springs, I wore white jeans and a denim jacket with this Bled Boho Cuff. It has a white gold plated magnetic clasp with engraved logo, crystal beads, coins, diamante chain, and amazonite stones.

For my day wearing black and white to tour the Lautner estate I wore her Silver Sunburst on black watch, with a simple turquoise wrap.

For lunch at The Sparrow, I wore this wrap with crystals on navy leather. It’s a simple and casual look rather than the stacking I usually do.

It’s hard to see, but I wore the same wrap below with white jeans and a cashmere sweater. Here’s a link to see how to wrap her wraps. I tuck the end underneath after I button it.Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled Life wearing blue and white

Right now, Victoria Emerson is having a buy one get one sale so it’s a great time to add some of her pretty new designs to your collection. She creates handmade accessories so women can wrap themselves in joy and sparkle. Many of her pieces are selling out fast so be sure you sign up to be notified when they get restocked.

Some costume jewelry can be pretty expensive so I don’t like to travel with it any more than I do my fine jewelry. Victoria Emerson’s pieces are very affordable so it was fun to bring lots of it and have fun mixing and matching, with no worry of losing it.

Do you travel with costume jewelry?

A big thank you to Victoria Emerson for collaborating on this post.

Those are cute! I’m lazy with jewelry, wearing the same pieces every day. I love your springy looks!

I go through stages with my jewelry. Some months I switch things up a lot. Other times I wear the same favorites over and over.

Victoria Emerson makes such great pieces – I love how you styled all of them. You’re outfits with white jeans are perfect for Palm Springs! Maybe an all white monochromatic look with a Victoria Emerson pop of color!

I love your Gucci bag but unfortunately it is a little too pricey for me. I really like the Victoria Emerson jewelry

Victoria Emerson is certainly affordable and so cute! The bag was a gift to myself which I will wear for years making the cost per wear pretty low. I buy very few bags and keep them a long time so I like classics.

All outfits shown look nice but the last one is the WINNER! Blue and white — the scarf, the bag, the jeans, the sweater and the ballet flats — great outfit! I would wear all of this.
I only travel with costume jewelery and not much of it. I like to fly under the radar.

Thanks, I love it too. It’s smart to fly under the radar when traveling. No need to make yourself a target:)

I’m hooked on the rose gold watches. And would love to find out how to keep the magnetic clasp from picking up the silverware on the table if I let my arm get too close. Yes, the clasp is secure.

I love your look in that final image in particular (the white jeans, sweater, scarf and flats). We travel frequently to Mexico, and I’ve made it a practice to scale my wedding set down to just my simple diamond bands (otherwise worn either side of my engagement ring), a simple white gold bracelet, and silver hoops. I can wear this in the pool, ocean, out for meals or sightseeing, and I never feel too showy.

Jennifer, your column did not post. I see just your title: Sparkle in Palm Springs. Looking forward to seeing more!

I only travel with costume jewelry – one less thing to worry about.
The last image of you is really nice. The white jeans are the perfect fit, cut + length along with the ballet flats, scarf and cute sweater. Blue and white is a classy combo.

You guided me to Victoria Emerson in a post last fall. It’s now my go to for fun accessories. I love the boho bracelets. They look great and the magnet closure is very secure. Jennifer, you have the best advice and suggestions. Thanks!
