Fair Play and Bingo

It’s no secret I am a huge fan of jewelry. I’ve lost more than my fair share of sentimental pieces while traveling so when I discovered the Victoria Emerson collection last summer, I never looked back. Her bracelets are all handmade, very affordable and add pretty sparkle to every outfit. I’m sharing some of my favorites with you today because she’s having her end of season sale with 40% off the entire site!

I’m a huge fan of her pearls, but my all-time favorites are her Boho Cuffs. I get compliments every time I wear them. They combine multiple rows of varying beads, stones, and coins and have a magnetic closure that makes them super easy to put on and take off.

BOHO CUFFS

I wore my newest boho bracelet last weekend to a birthday celebration then Turkey Bingo. You heard that right. Turkey and bingo:) Life in a 55+ community is nothing short of a hoot. The lighting was pretty dim so we didn’t get many photos.

This Mendoza Boho is made with seed beads, crystal beads with chain wrap, labradorite, coins, and woven leather. It’s a soft gray combo that will get a lot of wear this fall.

Clearly, I like larger bracelets. I have large hands so tiny bracelets look out of proportion on me. Here I stacked 2 Mini Tavera Boho’s to make a bigger statement. They are a combination of Amazonite Gallet, crystal, a string of Alloy Coins, and hand-woven leather.

And let’s not forget Victoria Emerson watches. They’re a great price to start with but at 40% off, they’re amazing. I bought this Petite Rose Gold watch with mother of pearl face during a previous 40% off sale. It’s currently sold out but you can sign up to be notified when they’re back in stock.

These will be fabulous slipped into Christmas Stockings or dressing up your holiday outfit.

Do you like larger bracelets? Do you stack them?

Thanks for reading, and be sure to wear what makes you feel confident.

  1. Timing is everything. Recently I tried one on at a gift shop not knowing they were made by Victoria Emerson. I didn’t buy one then but I just did now including myself and for gifts! Can’t beat the discount either. Thank you for the opportunity.

    1. Theyā€™re such a fun gift! Iā€™ve got several on order to give this holiday season.

  2. What the heck is Turkey Bingo?

    1. Lol!! Itā€™s a turkey buffet dinner followed by bingo. Thatā€™s what they called it, not me:)

  3. I love bracelets like these because I can still work at my computer and wear them. Her bracelets are beautiful.

  4. I find most bracelets are too large for my wrists and therefore fall over my hand. They are a lovely, feminine touch to any outfit though.

  5. I love bracelets and the ones you have featured are very lovely. I have very small wrists, but I still love to stack my bracelets. I just recently bought three very pretty stackable bracelets in gold time from Chicoā€™s. On sale- three for $35. I also adore vintage lucite bangles and have a nice collection of those.

    1. Chicoā€™s has some amazing jewelry too! I have large hands so am able to stack. Proportion is so important Kathy.

  6. I envy you women who can wear bracelets and rings of a substantial size. I must keep everything very minimal due to short arms and frail looking small boned hands and wrists. Hands are not especially pretty so I avoid drawing attention to them.
I love all the jewelry shown and could maybe find some pieces suitable for my style. Anything handmade and ethnic appeals to me, especially if crafted in natural materials. I made my own once upon a time.

  7. L-o-v-i-l-e-e bracelets, Jennifer. Re the musty odour that some may be complaining about; I’m wondering if the bracelet was sealed in a baggie with baking soda for a day or so, if it would diminish? (Suggest the bracelet itself be placed perhaps on a piece of waxed paper or similar and not emerged in it.) Another solution might be the use of a silica packet however I don’t know what effect it might have on the stones or metals used. Just a thought.

    1. Me too:) Great ideas Brenda! Mine still have a faint odor but nothing I can smell unless I put my nose right against it.

  8. Beautiful bracelets! I love larger bracelets and I own several favorite cuffs. My gold bracelets include one that belonged to my grandmother, one from a favorite aunt and one my mother gave me when I turned 21. I wear the cuffs alone but always stack the gold ones. Lately I have been wearing my Brighton charm bracelet which was gifted to me by my fellow librarians when I retired along with 2 or 3 other silver favorites. Each morning I put on earrings, necklace, my fitbit and several bracelets. Even in sweats I feel pulled together!

    1. Accessories make all the difference, don’t they Linda. You are so blessed to have family treasures to wear. I was devastated when I lost a very favorite gold bracelet that my husband gave me for my 40th birthday. I seldom take anything precious when I travel these days.

  9. I didn’t see the above posts until after ordering. It was hard choosing! Hopefully mine won’t have a bad smell and, if they do, I can air them out. Can’t wait to receive them!

    1. They’re so pretty, I air mine out by simply laying on my dresser. I’ve also sprayed the back with lavender essential oil in water, which I put on absolutely everything.

  10. I will admit, that while I love the look of the Victoria Emerson bracelets, I’ve had a problem with them having a very musty smell. The first batch I received was not even wearable they smelled so bad. The company replaced them, but one out of three in the second batch had the terrible smell.

    1. I recently bought two leather bracelets, and they also smelled musty when I received them.

    2. I’m glad they replaced them for you! They do smell of leather so I air mine out before I wear them.
