Happy Saturday, ladies. I never know what to wear these days. It cools off in the evening but gets warm during the day, and they’re predicting a bit of a heatwave. Time to get my linen back out. We didn’t have much of a summer this year, which has been fine because one of our portable air conditioners gave up the ghost, so we’re relying on a fan.
Bestsellers of the week – what readers loved most:
- These Ritual probiotics very popular this week. Being on sale 40% off probably helped. The bottle has a minty essence that makes them easy to swallow.
- This Chico’s Soft-Stretch Utility Jacket flew out the door this week, so many of you are thinking ahead to fall.
- The Talbots Embossed Leopard Jacket in a fabulous green is still a bestseller this week and now 25% off.
- This Prequil Hydration Set was also a bestseller. It’s a great value at full price, and even better now on sale.

TALBOTS is still offering 25% off your order through the end of August. Since brown is so prevalent this fall, I’m leaning into a few of them. They’re a soft, rich neutral I’ve always wanted more of.
- I ordered this Cotton Coated Barn Jacket, with a fun leopard-print lining and suede accents at the collar and cuffs. If the color isn’t cool enough for my liking, I’ll simply add a scarf or wear a flattering colored shirt near my face.

- I love this striped knit sweater jacket. It’s so classic and elevates any outfit.

- These high-rise wide-leg jeans look really stylish.
- My favorite Squall Jacket is also included in the sale. I wear that jacket so often, my cost per wear is pennies.

Jennifer, thanks for the offer to meet for coffee! I would have loved meeting you. Unfortunately, we are leaving early tomorrow morning. Loved Vancouver, though. Besides the aquarium, we went to the art gallery, took a tour on the hop-o -hop-off bus, and ate at some great restaurants overlooking the water. I found that tea shop you like too! Enjoy your time in. Vancouver and hope the spectacular weather continues. We could not believe how great the weather was while we were here this week.

A quick question:
A while ago you mentioned Frank and Eileen’s Derry Illusion jeans. I really like them—good quality, sleek, and comfortable. But they are very straight. In this era of big wide leg jeans are g to he Derry Illusion still (relatively) fashionable?
They are very slim. I wear mine under an oversized button-down. Are they on trend? No, but they aren’t out of style either

I can feel the coming change in the seasons. I do love fall! It’s still pretty warm here in Nebraska but looking forward to cooler days with less humidity.
What do you think of Talbots’s stretch corduroy flare leg pull-on trousers?
I’ll try them on this week and report back! Talbots usually does very nice corduroy.
