Tish Jett was in the Bay Area yesterday for a book signing event. I adored her book, Forever Chic, Frenchwomen’s Secrets for Timeless Beauty, Style and Substance! My copy is highlighted all over the place! If you haven’t read it, you need to!
Susan of Une Femme flew up, and Lisa of Amid Privilegewas there too. Such chic bloggers called for extra attention to what I wore.
I drove down with Elizabeth of The Vintage Contessa, who warned me she may wear one of her tiaras. Whoa! knock it up another notch!
Prior to the signing we met Kim of Northern California Style, for a reunion lunch.
I couldn’t decide how I wanted to look. What I wanted my clothes to say about me. How I wanted to be seen, at this event.
I tried on tons of options. And in the end what I wore surprised even me!
I notched all my dramatic, edgy options, way down to my comfort zone. I ended up in classic clothes with classic accessories.
Notice how the touches of nude, track from my shoes to the touch in my bag and print in my scarf, which draws the eye to my face and similar hair color.
I wore a black, v-neck sweater and my black Eileen Fisher pants. I accessorized with my vintage Kate Spade bag and vintage Hermes scarf.
When I say vintage, I mean I bought them new and have owned them forever! They became vintage along with me:)
Here are Kim and Elizabeth getting their books signed.
Tish is a hoot and we connected immediately! If you don’t follow all these ladies, you need to!! My only regret is I couldn’t spend more time with these amazing bloggers. Blogger meet ups are the so fun.
Great book. I enjoyed it too. You all look lovely. Good book signing choice!

You look fabulous! You can never go wrong with classic. And how great to meet up with such fun bloggers, I love those two. And now I will have to check out that book.
Thanks Leslie! I find I have to be careful with all classic at my age. It can come off as frumpy! You’ll love the book.
That sounds like I book I’d like to read! What a fun event! I love this all black look with the touches of nude!

What a fun event and w/one of my favorite people, Tish Jett. Tish was one of the first to sign up to follow my Blog when I was a Newbie. Such a lovely lady. We’ve corresponded over the years and I did a few guest posts for her when she was researching the book. It was, indeed, an honor. Although I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting her, I feel as if I know her.
Jennifer, you look chic and classy in your outfit. Excellent choice!!
Would love to have joined you all, but, “hélas” I am 3,000 miles away. (sigh).
I already have and love the book. She’s wonderful!!
Cheers, M-T
Tish was fabulous! Her skin was simply amazing and her humor hilarious!
Great look, and what a fun event

Wonderful lady and I am now getting ready to curl up with my copy of her book. You looked perfect as always and my dress looked quite big. Maybe not the best choice! Lol. xoxo Kim
