Not for me. The sweater is too high contrast, it looks large and shapeless whereas I like a little more fitted style, and the colors are not my colors, and I don’t think the cropped jeans go with the winter sweater.

I love the jeans. Where did you see these? My first time to comment.

    • November 26, 2018 / 8:11 pm

      These were at Nordstrom

That sweater would look lovely on a woman taller than me (5’1”) and not dealing with hot flashes. The jeans are cute though

  4. November 26, 2018 / 5:52 pm

Cute … but not on me. I am short and need to lose a little weight. If I donned that sweater, I’d most certainly look like I GAINED the ten pounds I’m looking to lose. I think “tall and thin” types would fair much better with it.

Nope – looks like a hot air balloon or a parachute!! Cute jeans.

  6. Becky
    November 25, 2018 / 10:50 am

No, it’s not for me. The slouchy look & the wide stripes would do nothing for me body type, & I really don’t like all those colors together.

I like the sweater! Maybe one size smaller and more subdued colors and I would wear it!

I like this and would wear it exactly how it is pictured. I might go down a size in the sweater, depending on how it fits. I liked a sweater like this from Gap a year or two ago. I like how modern it looks. It would be a fun outfit.

  9. November 25, 2018 / 8:01 am

Definitely! Although I’m not a jeans person, I like these a lot . And a sweater like that is always good.

The sweater looks like it would be warm and maybe cozy. But, I could not wear it. I have an apple shape body and these big horizontal stripes would make me appear much bigger than I already am. I’d also pass on the jeans, simply because I’m not a frayed hem fan. My changes would have to be vertical stripes and none frayed hem jeans for me to try the outfit on.

Where is the line between wide stripes and color-blocked? I don’t object to the stripes, but I do not like the colors at all.

I have a granddaughter that would look so cute in this! I like the sweater but my little short frame couldn’t handle it I’m afraid.

    November 24, 2018 / 12:38 pm

I like the vibe, but the stripes would overwhelm me. I would pair the jeans with a solid sweater to get the look.

I love comfy big sweaters in the winter, so yes I would wear this. Even better with a pair of soft leggings. I like to look nice, but don’t like to fuss too much. This is my style. If you have to go out, just slip on a pair of boots. It is rainy and 40 degrees in PA. This is perfect for today.

I like the stripe sweater for a fun, weekend, casual look with jeans or leggings. I wish the stripe sequence was reversed with the light and bright shades near my face and the black and brown down low to minimize my hips (hopefully). And to continue as The Wishful Designer of this sweater…maybe ombre shades for my favorite colors or all bright or all pastel or all neutral stripes would open my wallet faster.

    November 24, 2018 / 10:48 am

Not for me…too horizontal, too many colors, too over-sized, the drop shoulder sleeves…. If the cut of the sweater was a little more fitted and the colors were more monochromatic, then maybe?

  17. Sandy
    November 24, 2018 / 10:28 am

I don’t like all those colors together. The stripes are too big. The sweater is too slouchy and looks like it is too large for Ms Manniquin to wear. My short 5′ self would be swallowed whole in that…so…no, nope.

  18. Wendy Dunbar
    November 24, 2018 / 10:07 am

I agree that it is too oversized & slouchy for me, However, I do actually like the oversized stripes; I would have to try this on before buying! (I don’t need to add any visual bulk to my frame!)I do like the bright color combination and I love the jeans with the frayed hemline.

    November 24, 2018 / 9:37 am

I have stopped wearing sweaters altogether. I do wear cardigans. I stick to solid colors for these.

  20. Joanna
    November 24, 2018 / 8:08 am

Let’s see – I don’t like the drop sleeves. It’s too oversized! The stripes are too wide! Detest the colour combo! And, that bright yellow – yuck! I guess that means a big, resounding “No, never!”.
The jeans are cute though. I would wear those with sandals for that casual summer vibe.

Only if I where on a chain gang.

  22. Pam
    November 24, 2018 / 7:08 am

I’m not a huge fan of stripes in general, especially huge stripes!

  23. Phyllis Hughes
    November 24, 2018 / 7:07 am

NO! That is one ugly sweater! Big ugly stripes in heavy texture. Oversized. My least favorite colors; orange, yellow, and brown. I can’t find one thing that appeals to me. I would pass this one by.

  24. November 24, 2018 / 6:59 am

I’m all for comfy, cozy and stripes…however for my 5’ self it would be overwhelming.

  25. Julie SMITH
    November 24, 2018 / 6:56 am

No, not at all, the colors look like a traffic signal and way too slouchy.

  26. Eileen
    November 24, 2018 / 6:36 am

    No, just no.

  27. Deborah
    November 24, 2018 / 6:33 am

Instead of stripes, this is more of a color blocking look. I love it and would wear it if I were very young, but find it difficult at my age (over 60).

  28. November 24, 2018 / 6:22 am

I would never ever wear this! I am busty and wearing strips especially horizontal ones are a no no. I only have one striped shirt and it has vertical stripes.

  29. Amanda
    November 24, 2018 / 6:18 am

NO! The sweater would arrive before I do. I am only 5’3″. It would overwhelm. You would have to be very tall to carry this off.

  30. Susan
    November 24, 2018 / 5:49 am

It is cold here in Michigan and that sweater looks warm!

  31. Marcia
    November 24, 2018 / 5:18 am

I’m afraid I would look like a 5′ piece of candy corn. Someone tall, thin and gorgeous could probably wear it, though.

    • Amanda
      November 24, 2018 / 6:21 am

I so agree. I did not think of candy corn until I read your comment, but a great analogy.

    November 24, 2018 / 5:17 am

I don’t normally wear strips, however, I really like the bright wide strips.

  33. Frances Gibbs
    November 24, 2018 / 5:10 am

That’s a throwback for sure. I had a Liz clairbore cotton sweather almost exactly like that more than twenty years ago. Only it was navy where that one is black. I loved it! Heck, I’m gonna look. I might still have it!

  34. Janet
    November 24, 2018 / 5:09 am

Thank you for sharing sales for Canadians, Pam! That was thoughtful! Actually, this print reminded me a bit of the Hudson’s Bay print although HB is nicer. I really like stripes and wear them and decorate with them. Like others, the colour mix in this sweater isn’t one I like, the stripes are too wide and the sweater is a bit too slouchy for my shorter frame, so no, I wouldn’t wear it.

  35. Linda Phelps
    November 24, 2018 / 5:08 am

No—too big & slouchy. I also do not care for the colors.

  36. Gail Schwartz
    November 24, 2018 / 5:03 am

That looks great! I would have to try it on, because I might need a small one, but it would look cute with jeans

  37. Susan
    November 24, 2018 / 5:03 am

If the stripes were shades of a neutral colorblock I’d wear it!

  38. Debbie Nicholson
    November 24, 2018 / 5:00 am

Thanks for the Canadian sales updates!

  39. November 24, 2018 / 4:56 am

Hi everyone, I am currently having technical problems, so sorry that my look is not there! And, no I could not wear this… Iveould look huge! But it is cute.

    • November 24, 2018 / 8:38 am

Technical problems are the worst, Pam. I’m sorry

  40. Roxanne
    November 24, 2018 / 4:49 am

I love it and would definitely wear it! Probably would go down a size though. I’ve recently decided I’m wearing my clothes too large and have gone down a size; it made a huge difference.

  41. Lynn
    November 24, 2018 / 4:45 am

    I think it’s adorable!!

  42. beth byrd
    November 24, 2018 / 4:21 am

I actually do like the sweater. However, I don’t care for the color mix at all.

  43. Mary
    November 24, 2018 / 4:18 am

No thanks. The stripes are way too big and the sweater is too slouchy.

  44. Judy Casingal
    November 24, 2018 / 4:10 am

Too short for those stripes and horizontal stripes would make me look like a barrel. Would not wear it.

  45. November 24, 2018 / 3:54 am

These large stripes on this large sweater does not appeal to me. Next, my figure would scream, ” No not me!” Even if I did like this new look, I wouldn’t invest in this.
I do like the fringed jeans however. Perfect for a new cashmere turtleneck!
    Happy Small business Saturday!

  46. Cindy
    November 24, 2018 / 3:33 am

The big stripes feel a little overwhelming for my smaller frame. And I don’t especially like the “slouchy” look of it either. So I’d pass on this one.
