Would You Wear It- Pink with Stripes

Happy Saturday ladies. It’s time for would you wear it so grab a cup of your favorite coffee or tea and let’s have some fun with fashion.

Each week, my friend Pam and I share a mannequin and ask if you would wear what it’s modeling. I also love for you to get creative and share how you might wear these pieces either together or separately. Let’s inspire each other to think outside our styling box with fresh ideas.

As always, you can click on the red text for more info and to shop the items.

  1. I am a fan of striped sweaters. Stripes of different widths can give shape to your body, almost like contouring with makeup: it is a bit of visual magic. I own a few such sweaters. Mine are semi-fitted. Two of mine feature colored backgrounds with dark stripes, so I wear colored pants to match. My sweaters have narrower stripes at the hips, which works for me.

  2. Yes I would wear it. I love the colour of the pants. Bold and fun. When grey fall days appear, a pop of colour is always good. Would love some pink earrings too.

  3. Definitely. I love a pop of color in pants, and this color is gorgeous. The striped sweater is a classic. Sweaters with slacks or jeans is a go-to for me. I love the scarf!

  4. First impression is ‘nice’ but … The sweater is much too long and mismatched stripes on sleeves to torso would drive me crazy. Love the pink, but it’s way out of my comfort zone. I like the reverse idea – pink stripes on top and navy jeggings. Joules has lovely pink-white stripe sweater.

  5. I think the combination looks fine, but I would never wear the pink pants. I like a striped sweater and would wear that one with navy pants or denim. I would add a colorful scarf and feel very Parisian.

  6. Probably a no on the sweater -don’t like the neck or the stripes- and the pants. But, the scarf is pretty. I have not been wearing silk scarves since I went WFH, but I have found myself in cotton ones.
I’ve done some editing on my scarves since my hair has gone completely natural, i.e. gray, and pink is a good color for the new me.
This one is modal/wool and might have a place in my closet.

  7. Love the pink jeggngs as shown and would wear them with a blue jean shirt (chambray) rolled up sleeves, tucked in with belt and small scarf knotted at neck. If cool out I’d add the paler blue quilted vest. I could select a deep green cashmere sweater with scarf that includes green and deep pink. Or a white sweater? I would not purchase this particular striped sweater to pair with these pants.

  8. Indeed, I would wear this! I like neutrals with a pop of color and the rose color is a nice change from my normal red or red-orange (as opposed to a yellow-orange). The bateau neck is a nice change from my usual V-neck, I like the side slit at the bottom, and the spacing and gradation of the navy stripes is perfect! I like pieces I can mix and match with other pieces and the jegging with a chambray shirt or white tee and denim jacket would be nice, the sweater with other pants or jeans (cute with a bright colored vest). I like the paisley scarf but not sure how I would style it with this outfit.

  9. I would wear the pants and sweater but not together. The sweater comes in a pink similar to the pants and I’d probably buy it, rather than B&W. , and wear it with jeans, etc. I would wear the pants with black, white and a top with pink in it. The scarf is gorgeous- will check it out on Talbot’s Canadian site.

    Enjoy your weekend.

  10. I like the jeggings but cords and I do not get along well. We have 3 cats so I would not make it out of the house looking neat and tidy. I do like the colour and would love to wear that all year round. I do prefer my jeggings to be a pull on style mainly for the sleeker look in the front under tops. As you say, if someone gave me this look, I would wear it, but the price and little details would keep me from purchasing it. The scarf is a definate yes, as I am wearing those most of the time now that fall is here.

  11. I realize I am in the minority…but absolutely NO I would not wear it. The sweater with horizontal stripes and cut would not flatter my curves. The pink pants are just way out of my color palette and make me want to run from the display. I agree with the idea that navy cords would be better.

  12. Yes, I would wear the color and pattern combo together. I wouldn’t have thought of it, though, so thank you for showing it. I would have to make sure the sweater wasn’t too hot or heavy. I don’t do hot anymore. Happy fall, ya’ll!

  13. Would wear sweater with dark jeans, not a fan of bright pink pants in fall. I like earthy colors for fall, something different from summer pastels.

  14. Sweater is cute, but would prefer a v neck, boatneck not a good look on me. Love the color of the leggings but not the leggings themselves. Perhaps a nice dark wash jean with the sweater, v neck please, and the beautiful scarf as a belt on the jeans. Have a great weekend Jennifer.

  15. Yes!!! I would wear that look! I love colored pants, pink in particular, and I love stripes! To suit me, I would look for a smaller stripe in a bit less bulky sweater with a simple round or slight v-neck. I would definitely wear the scarf with it to tie it all together.

  16. Like Susan, I would want to reverse the colors, pink stripes on top. That’s a very pretty rose color, though— i’d like a jean jacket that color.

  17. Need V neck but other than that, I would maybe wear it. I’m not fond of leggings. I do like the colors together. I don’t own but one pair of colored pants but I’m open to change that. This rose color is so pretty and with boots I could tolerate the too short look. I’ll never get use to that in a tight pant. Okay with wide leg being short though. Scarf too bulky at waist. You need to show them how that’s done Jennifer. 😊

  18. Yes! Perfect winter look for southwest Florida. I don’t like boat necks so I would probably find a stripe top in a different style.

  19. Love the sweater and pants! Yes I Would wear together, or use to create other outfits. Not fond of the bulky scarf on the hip. Would prefer a smaller, silky style.

  20. I like both items but probably wouldn’t wear together. Love the pink pants, that is my color. Talbots always has so many options to put together really great outfits. That pink scarf is so pretty and I could find so many things I already have To go with it. Will have to check it out. That sweater would look great with dark jeans. Just ordered the blue toile blouse and would put that under the sweater. Would wear both top and bottom with boots or flats depending on weather and occasion.

  21. Perhaps if the colors were reversed-pink and white stripes with Navy cords The bottems as shown as way too pink for me.

  22. I don’t like the sweater or the pants especially together. I would wear the scarf with dark jeans and a white t-shirt. Happy Saturday!

  23. I don’t wear pink, but this outfit could make me reconsider that stance. I love the stripe sweater but would need a v-neck for my large bust/short neck for it to be flattering.
