Would You Wear It- Plaid Pants

Happy Saturday ladies. It’s time for would you wear it. Each Saturday, my friend Pam and I share a mannequin and ask if you would wear what it’s modeling so grab a cup of your favorite coffee or tea and let’s have some fun with fashion.

I also love to hear how you would restyle the look to make it work for your shape and lifestyle.

It’s a bit hard to see the plaid pants because there is a row of dark skirts behind this mannequin.

What do you think?

Would you wear this look as is, or separately and how would you change things?

Now let’s go see what Pam’s mannequin is modeling on Over 50 Feeling 40

  1. love plaid pants but I refuse to wear cropped pant legs. I have very small butt, thighs and ankles, cropped pants emphasize thin ankles.
Are there any pants that are slim in the butt and thigh area without having to have them altered?

  2. Love plaid pants! I would wear a fitted turtleneck underneath. Does the jacket have any structure in the shoulder area? I have a small frame and actually like jackets that have small shoulder pads or are more structured like a suit jacket.

  3. Love the entire outfit…would definitely wear…perfect for fall if we ever get fall weather in Dallas😊

    1. I like both plaids that the pants come in, nicely muted so easy to put an existing top with, but no ankle “floods” for me.

  4. Nope. I can do a plaid skirt but not pants, and I know that makes little sense, but it’s just another “mother-in-my-head” voice I can’t ignore.

  5. I would definitely wear those pants, love the look and the colors. But not with that jacket, I really don’t like the color. I would wear the pants with a sweater

  6. I love the plaid pants. The jacket I would need to try.
I prefer a long sweater in color in the plaid. Even a shorter sweater would be okay.
A scarf and longer jacket would look good also.
Lots of things to put with plaid.
Glad it is back in style.
I do agree the plaid should match at the seams. That is a no -no for sewers. It uses a bit more material when cutting out but the finished product looks great.

  7. I might try a darker plaid pant because I am heavier on top than bottom. The only downside is I find I get more wear from solids because they are easier to mix and match into outfits, so it would be a budget splurge for me.

  8. I would definitely wear this whole outfit. I like that the plaid is subtle and could be worn in many different ways.
