Would You Wear It? Spring Fashion

Would You Wear It? Spring Fashion

Happy Saturday and welcome to the weekend ladies.  It’s time for would you wear it. Each week my friend Pam and I share a mannequin we’ve seen and ask our readers if they would wear it. The pickings were more promising this week which gives me hope for spring.

Mannequins are dressed by store merchandisers to show us clothes and suggest combinations which should encourage us to purchase.

Pink hacket over boot cut jeans and white top

We love to hear your reasons why or why not so please explain what it is about the look that does or does not work for you as it relates to your style goals, silhouette or lifestyle.

Would you wear these looks?

Here are the weekend sale updates:

Talbots – Spring Sale event with 25% off your entire purchase.

Banana Republic – up to 40% off new style and an extra  50% off sale.

Ann Taylor – 50% off dresses and shoes with the code NEWSHOES.

J.Crew – 30% off your purchase or 40% off when you spend over $200 with the code GOFORIT…which is not hard to do with their new  spring collection

Bloomingdales – an extra 25% off sale

Nordstrom – winter sale ends Sunday with up to 40% off

Now let’s go see what Pam’s mannequin is wearing here.

Thanks for reading and have a great day.

I really do like these two mannequin outfits and feel that Incoukd wear either of these. I like these less boxy look of jackets/Blazers shown here, rather than some which I Have tried on. Thank you!
My only hesitation are floral tops, which I don’t love…..however the black white top is only lightly flowered so might be a go. I’d have to try it on.
I love both the denim and the pinkish pants….
Thank you for a refreshing modern mannequin duo!

I would wear all of them, except maybe the neck scarf. While I love neck scarves something is a little off for me with this one. I’d love to know which store this is.

Where were these mannequins located? Love the look!

I like both of these outfits, but if I were to choose just 1, it would be the outfit on the right. The pale pink jacket is a color I like to wear & I think the the flowing quality of the blouse is very attractive. I don’t love the dark scarf, so I might change that.

I would wear some items from these 2 outfits.
For the outfit on the left, while I wear slim pants, I have never felt comfortable in pale bottoms, I’d have to try on. Also on that manikin, I would wear the lace cami in the William Morris print (love that!) and the moto jacket.
For the outfit on the right, I’m still on the fence with the flared bottom jeans. Yes, I see them online, yes they would balance my hips, but I just don’t see them around my community. That has never stopped me from wearing what I want in the past, I just don’t know about them. Also that particular pair look like they have a low rise, I’m tall and I have a long torso and usually can’t wear a low rise jean.
I love the lilac jacket, I would definitely wear that.
I like the top but I would most likely pass on it, I prefer a deeper neckline on me.
    Yes to the neckerchief.

Yes to everything but the “flesh” pants!

I would pick a few item from each. Love the black jacket, but would prob use the blk/white top. Like the jeans, but not the lt pink pants…..and although I love scarves, prob would not wear that particular one with that outfit:)

I love almost everything about both outfits except the scarf and the pale pink skinny jeans. I think the pale pink bottoms would make my bottom look big. As to the scarf, I am not a scarf person, so that would never be something I wear. I especially like how the blouse on the right flows and drapes.

I would wear the jean outfit without the scarf. I like the boot cut jeans, the jacket and the top. I usually avoid flowers, but that top is subtle. The 2nd outfit is cute but not for me. Leather jacket no. I don’t like the front. The lace on the top makes it look like pajamas and the pants are cute but bad color for pants. The pink is better on the jacket.

  10. February 23, 2019 / 5:10 am

I do like the blue jeans. I love the flare at the bottom. I don’t wear flowered tops usually, so I would not wear them. The flyaway fake leather jacket on the left would not look good on a large busted woman.

I like the outfit on the right better than the left. I would eear the top and the pink jacket but not sure about the pants. I think they would accentuate my tummy and behind , areas I now try to hide. But I do like the long legs look . And I would omit the scarf or replace it with a black, pink abd grey one.

I just got a pair of Talbot’s denim jeggings in pink and love the mannequin in pink and black. Flowered blouses are pretty, and I enjoyed looking at both ensembles.

I really like everything on both mannequins. I love the blush pants. They are just the type of pant I like. I like ankle length very much. I am short and I like the way they look on me.

Actually I like pieces from both outfits so would pair the pale pink jacket on right with the pants on left. However, the pink would have to be deeper or more saturated, combined with the floral cami. No to the low rise flare jeans and the faux leather jacket (even as an outfit together for me). The flare jeans might work to balance my broad shoulders if they were high rise! To sum up I really like the look of jacket & pants in one hue for a pantsuit effect, which I like since I don’t wear dresses any more.

The only appealing garment to me is the pink jacket…love the feminine color! But no to the candy pink pants…don’t care for the color or cut…too fitted. No to the tops…neither could be mixed/matched well with a basic wardrobe. Flared jeans shown here are too faddish for me. That little scarf is off the mark with the outfit…a long necklace would work much better with the long lean look going on.

No to the low rise, yes to the bootcut length, no to the pale pant and no to the ankle length, no to the tops, too loose , and if they’re polyester, no to that. I’m pear shaped. Yes to the scarf in a different color, unless it’s polyester, then no. I’ve seen this look too much, it’s starting to look boring. I look forward to these Saturday posts, they’re fun, thanks.

My immediate response would be a “No” to both, but I do think the black jacket has possibilities. The other jacket in another color might work as well. I do not do floral patterns so the camisole on the left is NO. I do not like the length of the pink pant on me and neither do I care for the flared leg of the jean. I also prefer a smooth front jean and not a zipper strictly because I mostly wear tunics. The scarf is an immediate turn off. So, overall, these outfits would be a “NO” for me.

  18. February 23, 2019 / 7:54 am

My immediate response is that I like both outfits and I could see myself wearing either one of them, but as always, I would need to try them on. I’m not sure that the light pink jacket would suit my complexion. It’s not a colour that I usually wear. I probably wouldn’t wear the scarf and I’m not sure that I want to go back to wearing bell bottoms again. Other than that, I love the fit of the jeans though. One of the great things about these two outfits is the opportunity to mix and match the pieces creating several different looks.

I like both outfits. Having said that, I don’t wear little camisoles. The cropped pants would be fun with sandals though. The mannequin on the right is more to my liking. I like the subtle print on the top, the black jeans and the soft pink jacket. I wouldn’t wear the scarf knotted on the neck. Strip that mannequin! It’s coming home with me. ????

I know this is off topic but I read/heard pantsuits are back in style. What are your thoughts on pantsuits?
I think the two mannequins are showing a way to wear the pieces as separates but you could also pair the pink jacket with the pink pants for a suit. Not that I would wear all over pink.

I do not like the black draped jacket with pastel pants. Too harsh? I would not choose the pants with any top however. The black jacket would be attractive with jeans though.
Florals are not my thing except in a scarf perhaps. Would choose the blazer on the right if if were longer and more structured . I have one in dusty pink that goes well with several tops and pants.

I love the soft lilac color–in fact bought a Chicos jacket and pants in that color. Very springy. I don’t wear them together much but use the pants with pattern tops and the jacket over jeans, black pants, gray pants. In short, I like these colors! The floral top is pretty but looks like a cami top, which I’d probably not wear. Not sure about the black jacket and the shiny look of it. But the drape is pretty. Nope to the flared pants…

This is how I dress most of the time. I don’t wear pink pants or white booties, though. Everything else is a yes for my casual lifestyle.

I like both outfits! The cami-top would be a more limited wear-option for me (not appropriate for my workplace) so price would determine whether or not I would purchase and I’d replace the scarf with a necklace. Win-win!

I would wear the outfit on the right without the scarf. I love the color & style on the jacket-so fresh for spring. The print on the top is not overpowering, & I like the fabric. The scarf tied where it is would make my short neck look even shorter. The outfit on the left is a no. The black faux leather jacket is not my style, & I usually don’t wear pastel colored pants.

I’m not crazy about any of it, but I think I might wear the white top with the spaced black print. That black jacket looks like faux leather to me. I refuse to wear plastic. Well, okay, maybe in some jewelry, but I don’t like the idea of wrapping myself in the stuff.

Both look good to me but the only one I could wear would be the one on the tight due to my foot condition and having to wear special shoes all the time that just don’t look good ( in my opinion) with short pants.

I love the outfit on the right–the shape of the jeans, the pink jacket/sweater and print top are so pretty for spring. I’m not a fan of the scarf colors, though.

I would wear the one on the right, except for the scarf which doesn’t seem to go with the rest of the outfit. The one on the left is not my taste; looks like something for someone in their early 20’s tops.

    February 23, 2019 / 4:37 pm

I would try on the outfit on the right even though I’m not sure the pink jacket would suit me. I love the jeans and I like the contrast of the dark patterned scarf with the sweater. I don’t like the other outfit. I can’t disassociate pants of this length with what we used to call “flood” pants back in the day. The top is too low-cut for me and I can’t make up my mind about the jacket.

I think this is more I would like to think I’d wear it, but. Might not be able to pull it off ????

Yes, I would wear these outfits and I have similar styles in my wardrobe right now. I have the vegan leather waterfall jacket already! My pink items are more of a blush color and I have two chino-style trousers-one in blush and the other in a more mauve-y color for late spring, summer, and early fall. My winter blush pants are corduroy. My two jackets are a “velvet” moto jacket in blush and a vegan leather moto jacket in the mauve-y hue. I don’t often wear them as a column of color but use them as mix and match pieces with neutrals like grey or navy. I don’t have very many floral blouses for winter or early spring. I tend to use solid blouses and bring in a print with a scarf. I live in the far north of the continental US and a scarf around my neck can often be the difference between being cold or comfortable in the places that I frequent.

The one with the black jacket I would not wear, the top is too low cut. The pants I love. I prefer the one with the lavender jacket, but do not care for the flare jeans

Definitely would wear all of it! I think both looks are fresh and modern. These are great separates.

Yes to both! Fresh and feminine with flattering lines and colors. Would love to know where to find these looks. 🙂

My first reaction – lovely colors, good silhouettes. On closer inspection, I don’t get the colors in the scarf. Also, I suspect the pink pants are too tight to be worn as pants with the shorter jacket and top. Overall, these looks are something “real” women would wear.
