Happy Saturday ladies. I hope you’ve had a fabulous week! Mine passed in a blur so I’m anxious to have some downtime. It’s time for would you wear it so grab a cup of your favorite coffee or tea and let’s have some fun with fashion.
Each week my friend Pam and I share a mannequin we’ve randomly found and ask if you would wear what it’s modeling. I also love you to share how you would style it so we can all get some fresh ideas.
I love to be inspired and the lively conversation that ensues in the comment section is some of the most fun we have all week:) Please keep your comments personal and constructive. I never met a stripe I didn’t love so I’m anxious to hear your ideas!
So what do you think? How could you style it to work for your body shape and lifestyle?
MORE STRIPED DRESSES
Now let’s head over and see what Pam’s mannequin is wearing at Over 50 Feeling 40
Nope. Unless a perfect size 5 with no lumps or bumps. Plus no structure. It would only look good on younger person or toothpick silhouette.
40DD and menopause hips not doin it!
I need structure Ns loose knit has a mind of its own!
I love this dress. Would definitely wear it.
Would have to try on to see where waist hits and how it hangs in rear. Like it enough to try! I have soft gray with white stripe from cabi that is a wonderful fit and looks current without being too young.
I would never wear this dress! I NEVER WEAR STRIPES IN ANY FORM. end of story!
I love stripes, but I wouldn’t wear that dress. Well maybe lounging around at night, but not out. it is just meh.. and that style does not suit me, I need a bit more structure than just an elastic waist
I would not wear this dress, it is unflattering to any figure type, I am however a fan of stripes but only for tops. I’d like to see you wearing it Jennifer because I’m in no doubt you could style it to look amazing and prove those of us who are disbelievers about it fashion ability wrong.
‘it is unflattering to any figure type,’ This is the type of comment I feel is unwarranted in a comment.
Hello Linda, i apologize if my comment has offended you, that was not the intention, looking at the dress I felt it would not give actual definition to the wearers figure and by that I mean highlighting their best features like a small waist or curvy hips because it seems to just hang or as 1 other person commented is floppy. My opinion was just that, an opinion, based on the fact that I like to wear clothes that flatter a figure I have worked hard to keep trim and taut for more than 4 decades since having my children.
Linda, I guess women like me (and I dare say a few others) who don’t have a “trim and taut” figure just don’t get it. Haha.
