Thanksgiving Thoughts
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my U.S. readers who are celebrating, and happy Thursday to everyone else.
I know many of you are crazy busy today, but I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you so very much for your support. I’ve often said that you are the very best part of this blog. Every time you share your wisdom in a comment, you are helping this vibrant community grow. Your kind and helpful feedback to other readers make this a positive place to come and share ideas.
Social isolation and loneliness are a real part of getting older for many women. Connecting electronically may not be optimal, but for many, it can offer needed support and validation. When someone shares a hardship here, and others pipe in with support, my heart swells.
It’s not easy to be found in the sea of fashion blogs on the internet, so thank you for sharing my blog with ladies you think may enjoy it. Every time you share my posts on your Pinterest boards, you let others find my blog.
In case you’re curious, every time you read a blog post or shop through my links, you’re helping to support my small business, and I’m very appreciative.

So nice to receive this from you ON Thanksgiving Day!! A really special treat Jennifer!! And I so appreciated your comments about the possible isolation of many. That has never been so true as for past few years. Aging causes this and then with The Virus. WOW!! I am still fairly connected with outside “doings” but I too was very restricted and did not realize until later on just how much it impacted my mood…for the worse. So thankful we are able to be out more now. Love to stay up with fashion….no matter the age and appreciate all you do in this area. Thank you and hope your husband improves steadily. Thank you for mentioning social isolation. My only family lives two states away and my immunocompromised condition has taken my former social life from me. Still, I have much to be grateful for. I live in Southern California and am able to get out into the sun to walk each day. I have found a Pilates teacher who will see me outdoors on her patio. I wear a bracelet that says”ponderosa” in Spanish – powerful. And I choose my outfits to remind myself and others that I am confident and doing well. Part of being powerful is to still treat others with empathy and kindness. And to that end I would like to say thank you to you, Jennifer, and this community for being an important part of my life.
