Weekend Reading: 3.28.26
Happy Saturday, ladies. I snapped this photo quickly before I headed out to shop for eyeglasses and wander through a few stores looking for long skirts for my upcoming trip.

HOOP EARRINGS / RESIN CUFF / LUCITE BLOCK RING / PRELOVED NAVY BAG
I wore comfy shoes because I’m firmly in the sneaker camp for the longest days on my feet. Silver sneakers (not the exercise classes) are a popular spring trend I’m fully embracing. These Palestra Due sneakers come in five colors, but I could not resist the silver leather. I decided bold, curved accessories (earrings, bracelet, and ring) would balance the sneakers without making me look like an astronaut.
Bestsellers- what readers loved most this week:
- My Linen Tommy Bahama Utility Jacket flew out the door this week! I love the shape so much that I also bought it in this Chambray version. I don’t button them closed, so the waist drawstring gives my figure some shaping.
- This machine-washable Scalamadré Rug is a best seller again this week. Our circular version arrived, and we just love it!!
- The cotton gauze shirt from J.Crew Factory is another best seller this week. It also comes in three stripe options and five solid colors. I now own 3 of these and love how easy they are to care for.
- My chunky silver, lightweight earrings were very popular this week. I’ve been wearing the heck out of them because they make a great statement on a simple outfit.
- Many of you also ordered my fun Bobble Bar Necklace. I like mine so much that I bought it in two colors and wear them together… quite a change for me.
Highlights from the weekend sales:
CHICOS Spring stock-up sale is on with prices starting at $29 and buy-one-get-one 50% off on jewelry.
- My Pima cotton V-neck tees arrived, and they are fabulous! Soft and flattering with great elbow-length sleeves and a tab detail to elevate the look. I bought Blue Orchid and White, which is totally opaque.
- If you are a floral lover, this trench makes a smashing statement!
J.CREW FACTORY has 40% off everything, including new arrivals, which you know I’ll be checking out soon.
- These linen-blend pants have amazing reviews and come in 5 colors.
- I love this linen/blend skirt with the asymmetrical stripes.
EILEEN FISHER has a new collection, so of course, there are great pieces marked down from the previous collections, plus an extra 20% off.
- This banded collar silk georgette blouse is on sale in six gorgeous colors. This one is machine washable…so no trips to the dry cleaner!
- This classic version with the collar is also marked down in 5 great colors.
- If you’re traveling this summer, this stretch crepe skirt is the perfect piece. I have one with a bubble hem, and it’s perfect for so many occasions.
In case you missed it:
- J.Crew Factory spring 2026 try-on and what’s worth a second look.
- What I’ve bought at Amazon lately and highly recommend.
- The best sandals that look as good as they feel.
- How to wear chinos without looking stiff or dated.
Have a great weekend, and be sure to wear what makes you feel confident.

Love your silver sneakers! I’ve been wanting a similar pair with floral cutouts from Ortho Feet “Wander” style which are more affordable than the brand you are modeling. Reading your post may be my justification for ordering, can I tell my hubby it’s all your fault 😜
I want to order that Tommy Bahama Chambray. I noticed you are wearing a small. Don’t you usually go with medium? Do you think it runs big?
I think it runs true to size and the small fit me through the shoulders. I don’t plan to button it closed, but I could if necessary
Thank you Jennifer.
Hi. I love everything you posted today. I too purchased the JCrew gauze blouse when I was shopping yesterday. Question … did you purchase a regular or petite. I tried the regular medium but it was very long in the sleeves and arm sleeves. I’m 5’3. The petite L because of chest button issues worked better for me. I thought we were similar in build. Just curious. Thanks for the response.
I have broad shoulders which make sleeves shorter so I prefer the regular
I look forward to seeing your long skirts! Everything I see is too flouncy for me to wear to work.
I’m not a fan of tiers on skirts which is what I think you mean by flounces but I do like full ones.
