Weekend Reading 04.04.2026
Happy weekend, ladies! I’m back from a quick little trip to San Francisco, which I’ll share more of later.

I picked up this darling navy jacket at Sézane and picture myself wearing it a lot this spring.
Reader favorites this week – what you loved:
- My Josef Seibel sandals were huge bestsellers again this week. They’re incredibly comfortable and stable on my feet. I also spotted this pair online, which looks perfect because you can adjust the width when your foot swells from the heat.
- This Tommy Bahama casual linen jacket has been a bestseller here with ASWSL readers for a month. It comes in 4 colors. I ordered it in white and decided these linen pants would be great for summer.
- This Lands End zip-up rash guard was very popular again this week. It comes in lots of colors and is a smart way to protect your skin.
- Many of you agreed these Eileen Fisher Sport Sneaker Sandals would be very comfy this summer. I adore mine and have replaced my worn-out pair.
- This pretty Bauble Bar necklace is on its way to many readers. I have two colors and am considering a third to mix together.
- These J.Crew Factory linen drawstring pants were very popular with our community this week, which signals that we’re all in the mood for warm weather!
Picks for the weekend sales:
CHICO’S has a buy-one-get-one 50% off promotion running. Their latest statement collection has arrived, and it’s included in the sale.
NORDSTROM end-of-season sale with spring styles up top 50% off.
- My favorite Natori stretch cotton full briefs are 40% off in several colors. These are extremely comfortable and breathable in the hot weather.
- These L’Amour des Pieds platform slides are marked down in the wonderful navy or camel. This brand is known for its beautiful workmanship and comfort.
- My Eileen Fisher Chenille Rib pullover is finally on sale! It’s a great neutral and cuddly soft.
- These New Balance 574 sneakers are marked down in several colors. I love the blue, but they’re sold out of my size…which reminds me again to keep an eye on pieces I like in case they get discounted.
LEVI’S spring event is 30% off sitewide.
- These lightweight denim, 501 90s jeans look great for warmer weather. They’re 100% cotton, so they’re less likely to stretch out than other jeans.
- I love the look of these wide-leg linen blend pants. They come in ten colors, and their lack of spandex means they’ll mold to your shape.
- This Naturalizer looks cute and comfortable.
TALBOTS’ sale is in full swing, so now’s a great time to fill the holes in your spring wardrobe. I ordered these Perfect chinos in black, a larger size of this white shirt, these wide-leg linen pants, and this striped linen pullover.
In case you missed it:
- The life behind the style…what matters most.
- Searching for the right eyeglass frames.
- What to wear for special occasions this spring.
- Trying on some new Spring arrivals at your favorite retailers.
Have a beautiful weekend, and do something nice for yourself.

Hi……..I am new here and wondered if you are a petite blogger and what sandals you loved for Spring/summer 2026 ? So glad to meet you!
Hi Bonnie, welcome. I’m 5,4” so right on the cusp. I style petite and regular sizes. I’m liking low platforms with lots of support.
Love you new Bobby Jacket Jennifer so chic!! Isn’t Sezane the best…I just bought myself the Justine bag for summer as I have been wanting it for years and finally said yes! Happy Easter xo
Happy Easter!
My thanks to those who designed full length straight linen pants. The wider style is too much of a good thing. Thanks for showing a pair. Mine are from Lintico.
Good morning, I was wondering how the meeting went with the lady in red. Did she have another one of those eye stopping outfits on?
We have not been able to get our schedules to line up yet.
I have the gray 574s (size up .5) and they are a workhorse in my cool toned wardrobe. Walk all day comfort for me. My college aged son has them too…
Great to know!
What are your thoughts about Chico’s bright print pants? Are they something that stays in or have they passed? I have several pair, and realized never wore them last summer, and don’t see them featured anywhere this year. Thanks in advance for your opinion. Have a blessed week!
I’m seeing them less this season but it can also be location based and personal preference. If you live in a tropical climate, they’ll be more prevalent.
I’ve noticed more large or multi-strand beaded necklaces on your site. Has the era of layered small necklaces passed? I’m petite and prefer the smaller necklaces. Should I start shopping for statement pieces?
Bold maximalism is more popular this spring than dainty layered pieces so it’s a fun time to experiment.
I love your Sezane jacket and have been tempted to purchase several Sezane items over the years. But I don’t live in a city with a Sezane shop, so I would have to place an online order and I don’t know if Sezane makes returning items easy. What can you tell me about returning items to Sezane?
Returns are very easy when you order online. They offer free, seamless returns.
