A Refresh For Your Skin
The older our skin gets, the slower it sloughs off dead skin. That means it holds onto old cells which makes skin look dull. There’s nothing attractive about dull skin so I like to speed along the process.
I’ve had great results using this peel so am happy to partner with them once again to let you in on the fabulous sale happening during Ulta’s 21 Days of beauty. The Performance Peel Ap25, as well as the entire Exuviance line, is 30% off through September 21st.
This peel helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and evens out skin tone. It keeps my pores very clear and gives me a healthy glow.
The Exuviance Performance Peel offers 10 key benefits:
- Healthy Glow *
- Fine Lines
- Texture
- Pores
- Wrinkles
- Even Tone
- Clarity
- Brightness
- Suppleness
- Softness
*After one month, 2x weekly use with a PHA regime
My skin is fragile so manual exfoliation or scrubs of any kind are out of the question. That leaves gentle chemical peels which I do at home because they’re easy to use and take a quick ten minutes.
1 – Cleanse your face with a gentle, effective cleanser. Exuviance makes several different ones based on your skin type.
2- wipe your entire face with the Activator Pad, avoiding your lips and eye area, then toss the pad. These are one use only. Wait ten minutes. If youĀ experience discomfort or excessive redness, move on to step three sooner.
3- wipe your entire face with the neutralizer pad, avoiding your eyes and lips, then rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
4- apply a moisturizer.Ā
5- follow with a sunscreen.
Exuviance Performance Peel AP25 can be safely used up to twice weekly. That’s how often I use mine but if your skin becomes uncomfortable or has bothersome peeling, reduce the frequency to your comfort level.
All Exuviance products are 30% off during this sale at Ulta so this is a great time to build your Exuviance regime. Plus, at select Ulta stores, customers will be given a scratch-off card when they purchase the Performance Peel AP25, which will either win them 1 free Exuviance sample or 1 free full-size product. These can be claimed from an in-store Exuviance representative.
Do use at home peels?
Have you tried the Exuviance Performance Peel AP25?
Thanks for reading and have a great day.
Thanks to Exuviance for partnering on this post.
Where did you find that gorgeous kimono?
I bought it in Japan last fall on the trip with my daughter. We each bought one.
Just returned home from a trip to Ulta!! Got the AP25 by Exuviance. Iāll give it a try.
Start slow and let me know how it goes.
Iāve had professional peels and used Dr. Perricone peels at home. Your experience with Exuviance products has made me curious to try them. Thank you for this, I value your opinion.
Wow, you look beautiful. I am ambivalent about expensive products, I have heard other good things about Exuviance, and I might, I say might, splurge, my Derm sells it too, BUT, Iām much less ambivalent about GOOD GENES, which you obviously have, and unequivocally certain of the adage (paraphrased here): āif Iād known I was gonna look so old, Iād have taken better care of myselfā, which, too, you obviously have! Thanks for sharing your experience with this product.
Thank you so much. Hind sight is 20/20 and do I ever wish Iād known what I know now. Iāve had so much fun damaged but I admit my mother had lovely skin. Iām very fair and sensitive so extremely careful/neurotic about caring for my skin.
Thanks for the recommendation Jennifer! Although I’m almost 70, I’ve never had a peel and am I’m anxious to try one. I’ve noticed some small bumps and changes in my skin over the past couple of years. I’m hoping that this product will help clarify and firm my skin. My question is, can it also be used on the neck?
Sharon
I donāt use it on my neck but I do use it on my chest and the back of my hands. The skin on my neck is very fragile. Start slow, a few minutes at a time and work up. Itās strong but does an amazing job. Let me know how it goes
Iāve not tried at home peels, but I have gone to an esthetician for monthly peels. It made a tremendous difference in my skin. Does your skin actually peel with an at home peel? With the peels I had, my skin would peel over a weekās time. The first time it was like a peel from a sunburn, but the following months it was not nearly that much. Iām retired now and professional peels are just too costly. But I am concerned with my skinās condition.
No, your skin does not peel after these. It just looks very smooth and fresh. These are gentler but quite effective.
I’m a huge fan of continuous, gentle exfoliation! As you mentioned, scrubs are way too harsh for most people’s skin — even teens. Personally, I love Paula’s Choice 2% BHA leave-on liquid once a day (BHAs are not drying, like AHAs can be).
However, the #1 most important and most effective topical for exfoliation, preventing/clearing milia, AND skin rejuvination is tretinoin (Retin A). In my experience (and I’ve spent a ton of money experimenting!), no other topical even comes close, or has the research results to prove its effectiveness, so it’s really worth it to start at the lowest strength formulation and use it as frequently as your skin will tolerate.
Wish somebody had clued me in when I was in my 30s, so I could have started sooner to reverse the consequences of my misspent youth!
Jennifer, I have absolutely no idea how I began receiving your emails. My immediate instinct was to banish them with all unsolicited & unrecognizable emails. But for whatever reasons I did not. And that has been fortunate for me!!
Iām not sure how you found me either JoAnn, but Iām glad youāre here. Welcome!
No I gave never tried at home chemical peells per se, but I do indulge in Murad Resurgence facials at a local Murad spa. Her facials do include Glycolic Acid, and leave my skin feeling great too. The whole line is geared to older users.
You look beautiful!
I have heard great things about Murad products. What I love about these is the portability too. I can just pop the pads in my makeup case when traveling and stay on track with my program.
