What I’ve Bought Recently and Recommend From Amazon
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days are back October 6 and 7, with two days of deals across fashion, beauty, home, and just about everything else Amazon can tempt us with. I’ve been browsing ahead of the sale and pulling together the things that caught my eye along with longtime favorites I already own and recommend.
Keep in mind, they’re only happening today and tomorrow, and many of these finds are currently on sale. Some of these sales only last for a limited time, so if you spot something you’ve been wanting at a good price, I wouldn’t wait too long to grab it.
If you’re getting an early start on holiday shopping, Amazon has also opened its Holiday Shop, which is handy for browsing gifts before December sneaks up on us.
2026 Amazon Prime Big Deal Days: What to Buy
Here are a few things I noticed on sale while browsing Prime Big Deal Days.

I’m glad to see more shawls and wraps this season. They’re an easy way to add warmth over a long-sleeved tee or a simple dress without putting on a jacket. This neutral plaid would work with several colors, and it comes in 37 other color and pattern options.

I bought this blue coatigan several years ago, and it was such a hit. It has a nice, substantial feel and makes a great third layer over a simple top and pants. I noticed it’s on sale now in tons of colors.
I shared this popular Travelon Anti-Theft Crossbody Bag in my guide to the best anti-theft crossbody bags for travel, and it’s now on sale. It’s a practical option for travel when you want your essentials close at hand with a little extra security.

My super comfortable Easy Spirit Sidney Ankle Boots are a practical fall boot and also marked down. I like the low heel and simple shape for everyday wear with jeans and casual pants.

I own the ECCO Soft 7 Easy Slip-On Sneakers, so I was happy to spot them on sale. They’re comfortable and easy to slip on.
Before sweater season gets fully underway, I like to give anything looking a little worse for wear some attention. This Conair Fabric Defuzzer is an inexpensive little tool that removes pills and fuzz and can make an older sweater look much more presentable again.
What I’ve Bought Lately from Amazon for Fall 2026
My Amazon orders tend to be a rather random assortment, and lately has been no exception. Many of these aren’t on sale, but I thought they were worth sharing anyway.

Because of my foot problems, I’ve had to pay as much attention to what goes inside my shoes as to the shoes themselves. I now use these rigid carbon inserts to limit bending at my arthritic big toe joint. I also use these PowerStep Pinnacle Memory Foam Orthotics Insoles in my athletic shoes. They also give me plenty of arch support.
I recently ordered the Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus because I was tired of hauling out the food processor. We both have a protein shake each morning, and this is the perfect size. This is my favorite protein powder, and I order it on repeat.

I recently reordered the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liner Pencil in Supersize Me. It’s a rosy pink that gives my lips definition without looking harsh. How much lip color I want depends on how much eyeshadow I’m wearing. When I keep my eyes softer, I need a stronger lip, or I tend to look washed out.

I’ve reordered this Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Alloy eight times, which tells you how much I like it. It’s a pale charcoal shade that looks softer than stark black.
Last summer, I picked up this Magnetic Phone Tripod because I’m forever looking for somewhere to prop up my phone. It works as both a tripod and phone stand and is compatible with MagSafe iPhones and cases.
I ordered these HYPREST Egyptian Cotton Sheets, and we love them. The extra deep bottom sheet finally stays on our thick mattress.
I smelled and loved this Grown Alchemist Invigorate Hand Wash a few years ago while visiting Palm Springs. I ordered it on a whim a few weeks ago. It has sweet orange, cedarwood, and sage scent that feels earthy and comforting.

I’ve used the GrandeHAIR Rejuvenation Serum around my hairline for several years, and don’t plan to stop anytime soon. The ingredients are similar to what they put in lash and brow growth serums. It’s easy to apply and doesn’t leave residue in my hair.
I recently ordered the Wellious Almond Protein Powder in vanilla, and I’ve also tried the chocolate. I like that the ingredient list is refreshingly short, and each serving has 18 grams of plant-based protein.
I’ve ordered this Magnesium Citrate Complex five times now, which probably tells you more than any glowing review I could write. I take it at night for my jumpy legs and it helps me relax to fall asleep.
Here are some of the other things I Buy Again and Again
Some of My Best Amazon Purchases to Date

Aesop Resurrection Handcream
I love the scent of this Aesop Resurrection Handcream and it’s a favorite to carry in my purse.

Tower 29 SOS Daily Rescue Spray
Tower 29 SOS Daily Rescue Spray has been in my skincare arsenal for years. Hypochlorous acid may sound scary, but it’s basically 3 simple ingredients that calm visible redness and irritation and kill bacteria on the skin. It’s dermatologist-approved, has the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance, and is, quite simply, magic when my skin is upset.

I swear by my Waterpik. They say it doesn’t replace flossing for gum health, but it’s a very close second in my mind. The oral surgeon who installed both of my dental implants suggested I add a cap of hydrogen peroxide to the water once a week and I’ve been doing it for years. I have one on the counter in California and one on the counter in Vancouver.

I’ve used these lighted 10X travel mirrors for many, many years. Hotel bathroom lighting is usually awful, so I stick mine on a window. The daylight is perfect for putting on makeup or finding that chin hair that apparently grew an inch overnight. I’ve left them on hotel windows all over the world, so fortunately, they’re inexpensive to replace.
My Shark Cordless Handvac is on sale, and I highly recommend it! I’ve had it for several years and find it invaluable for small pickups.

I’m not sure if my Magnetic Portable phone charger is part of the sale, but it’s terrific. In fact my husband has been swiping mine on flights,It slips into my purse or carry-on, th so I just ordered him one. It magnetically attaches to the back of your phone, no cords involved.

I’ve gone through at least ten tubes of AmLactin Foot Repair. It works, plain and simple. My husband wouldn’t be without it now. I use it at night, and it helps keep my heels from drying out.

I’ve gone through several refill bags of this Noshinku Lavender Hand Sanitizer, and the little sprayer is still going strong. It takes up almost no room in my bag, smells lovely, and doesn’t leave my hands feeling dry.

I updated to the Oura Ring 5, which is narrower, thinner, lighter and much comfier to wear. It tracks my sleep, walking, and stress levels. It keeps track of so many things, I feel weirdly lost without it.
It’s always nice to find something we already use on sale. I hope the details about these purchases have been helpful, whether you’re shopping or simply comparing notes.
What’s something you’ve bought that turned out to be particularly useful? It still amazes me that I ever traveled without the stick on magnifying mirror!

Hi Jennifer! In case nobody else noticed the date of today’s post, it caught my eye. It shows “11” 10/2025. I’m pretty sure it’s 10/10. But, if you want to repost all these goodies again when November rolls around, I’m sure most of us could still be enticed! 😊
LOL!! Good catch
Thanks, Jennifer, for reminding me about the Amazon sale! I just ordered the portable vacuum, my Derma Doctor Kokadu C/Ferulic Acid Serum (which I love), 7th Generation laundry detergent, and a bunch of supplements all at great prices. I don’t get to read your articles until the afternoon, but love all that you do!
That Vitamin C serum sounds great! I’ll check it out.
I am super excited to try the two chocolate drinks you suggested… especially the mushroom one. Lots of other items that you listed I am going to try. Thanks so much for sharing!
Love Amazon, I probably spend too much…. Salt & Stone is my go to body wash and cologne. Every time i get a compliment on my cologne it’s Salt & Stone….Black Rose & Oud is my go to.
I love their products!
I agree with you about shopping from Amazon. I don’t have to go from store to store trying to find the products I want. It is handy and quick! I just ordered some Latuza PJ’s for winter and they are the perfect material for me as I am a “hot sleeper”
I ordered their summer PJ’s a few years ago and are very comfortable as well. 😊
They sound great!
Morning, I see you and I have somethings in common. Shopping on amazon on is so much easier these days.
I think you can get absolutely everything on Amazon. Your list is great.
I think so too!
Later today I will be shopping on Amazon. I will start with coffee then work on my list. Thanks for your post today.
