When I was shopping for a pair to bring with me on my recent travels to visit my brother in Mexico, I had a hard time. I figured if I was on the hunt for them, then many of you might be as well! I decided to dive in and do the research for us on what is considered the best water shoes for women. There were a lot of ugly options out there, but I’ve rounded up the best-looking ones I could find.

Water shoes are extremely helpful for a number of scenarios: exercising in the pool, kayaking/canoeing, walking around beaches or lakes, or even on a boat. They’re typically lightweight, dry faster, and drain better than other shoes. Plus, a lot of them give you extra traction on the bottom, which is great if you’re going to be on rocky terrain. I’ve also seen a lot of people bring them on trips to the Caribbean if they are doing excursions like swimming with stingrays, sharks, etc.

I’ve discovered they’re so comfy I wear them a lot just for their style and comfort. They don’t come in half sizes, so I recommend sizing up.

They have a low-profile look that appeals to ladies who prefer a more minimalistic aesthetic.

If you’re looking for an easy slip-on footwear choice that can get wet, this pair from Reef is a great option! I love the faux rope texture that’s imprinted into the waterproof straps. I think you could easily get by wearing these for more than water activities… especially if you grab them in a neutral shade like Oasis.
