I want to take this opportunity to thank you for being part of this community and for letting me come into your email box each morning. Your support means the world to me.
Many of you will be hosting and cooking today. In case you get a break from cooking or need a diversion during your tryptophan slump, I’ve rounded up some great pieces from my readers’ favorite retailer, Talbots. Their black Friday sale is on with 50% off the highest regular-price item and 40% off the rest of your order. Here are a few looks I tried on last week and some other Talbots outfits that readers loved.
Whew…there were a few more outfits, but I ran out of steam. My readers buy more Talbots than any other brand so I plan to get myself into the store for try-ons more often.

You look beautiful in all of the Talbots outfits and I love how you look in the Kut from the Kloth pants! Talbots is my absolute kryptonite!! I have worn their clothes since high school and I am 59. It is my first time posting a comment here.

Talbots has been my go to store for decades….but I think I have to break up with them. I’ve walked out empty handed the last few times!
Sweaters/tops (with the exception of the thin cashmere I have enough of) are made of synthetic fabrics, which are neither warm, nor soft. For those of us who have cold winters, synthetics don’t keep us warm. Sad. Thanks again!
What size did you order in taffeta skirt? Iāve ordered once with my normal size and the waist was too small? Did you order 1 or 2 sizes larger or did you have this issue?I sent back and would love to reorder but not sure about size.
I am wearing an 8 regular and could have easily gone up one size. I think the waist it very small in these.

Wishing you a very happy and safe Thanksgiving weekend. I love Talbot’s. Especially for sweaters and tops. They have so many lovely ones this season and you look wonderful in everything you shared with us. Which sweater was your favorite? Mine is the Zig-zag pullover sweater. I love all the shades of lavender/purple.
I love all the purple colors. I think the fair isle cardigan is my favorite because they’re usually pullovers. Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving. Many do seem to do that. I like the Talbots because the faux fur helps the collar lay flat.

I loved most everything that you wore! I especially loved the Fair isle sweaters and the corduroy pants. Talbots no longer fit me since my middle thickened. Iām top heavy, wide in the waist and slim hips and thighs. Chicos jeans fit me and I have several trouser style jeans which are extremely comfortable. I also love JCP Liz Claiborne jeans and tops. I have some Nordstrom Rack tops as well. Iām over 50 miles from any of these stores so I have to buy online. I have had to replace my wardrobe this year and your links and Pamās links have really helped me. I have purchased many items I have seen you wear. Have a lovely Thanksgiving!

I have tried quite a few retailers with petite fashions over the years , but most of my closet is filled with Talbots. I live in rural Ontario and our closest Talbot stores are in Toronto and I never go there anymore. I do miss a physical store but their online ordering is a dream and they treat their card holders exceptionally well. Thank you for your visits to the store, I appreciate the views.
