Casual Cotton and Linen Outfit
Happy Sunday ladies! Twin sets have been popular with the preppy set forever and I admit I am a fan. There’s just something so polished about a matching shell and cardigan but the traditional crew necklines aren’t my favorite. I do better with V-necklines.
This is the same long linen cardigan I wore over a linen dress here. Today I’m styling it with a color-matched tee underneath. This is my nod to the twin set but in better proportions for me. Almost everything I’m wearing today is marked way down!

I love the comfort of this soft tee. It appears to be sold out in the seaglass color but there are so many in my store, I assume they will restock them on the website. I’m wearing an XS in regular, which I never wear so it runs large. The cotton has a really nice feel and the fit is comfy and loose for hot weather.

I tried tucking the tee in loosely but decided I prefer it out on me. It’s not too long (even in regular) to wear straight so in petite it would be even better. This handbag was a terrific purchase because I pull it out during all seasons and get a lot of use out of it. That’s one of the beauties of a classic handbag, it always works.
These are the J.Jill Essential Cotton Stretch Pants that I snagged from the 50% off rack! It’s a great soft mocha color that seems to go with everything. Their flat elasticized waistband makes it possible to tuck tops in if you want to. I’m wearing the 6 regular but need the petite. The side hem has a little vent on the outside which really looks better higher up the ankle.
I snapped up these sandals during a recent laundry supply trip to Target and am thrilled to find them pretty darn comfy. The straps come high enough up my foot to stay on securely without gripping my toes and they’re very flexible. I couldn’t link the same ones but these are very similar.
These daisy earrings are more playful than I usually wear so I wasn’t sure how often I would wear them, but it turns out a lot. I love the cheery look for summer and they match my sweater perfectly. They’re handmade from an artist on Etsy and available in tons of color combinations.

I find J.Jill collections can be spotty. Sometimes they’re amazing and other times I wonder what they’re thinking. This is a particularly good one with soft colors and fabrics to mix and match that will keep you cool in the hot weather.
Don’t keep me a secret! If you enjoyed this post, I’d love you to save it to your Pinterest board.
Thanks for reading and remember to wear what makes you feel confident.

Very lovely, great colour on you and the purse is super cool. Greetings from Vancouver,BC
Greetings Shirley! My daughter lives in Vancouver. Beautiful place
The earrings are really fun and I too like the ‘sea glass’ colour (Canadian spelling, as opposed to color). So are twin sets making a comeback? Or are they still considered dated?
I think they’re one of those classics that keep coming back, so if you love them, wear them!
I do know colour…I’m a Canadian living in California:))
