Colorful Rain Jackets You’ll Love From Nordstrom Rack
I never wear red but our gloomy weather just keeps on giving so I decided to try a red raincoat to perk things up a bit. And while I was at it. I found a holographic one in pink that tickled my fancy.

This BCBGGeneration hooded raincoat has all the details you need to stay dry in a torrential downpour. The front zips and snaps with a storm flap. It also has a stand collar, straps to tighten at the wrist, and an adjustable drawstring cord to snug the waist and keep drafts out. This reminds me of foul weather gear, on a cuter level. It also comes in camel or black, but I decided to go for the red, and I love it!
I’m wearing the jacket over a geometric print blouse by Max Studio. It comes in four prints, and I’m wearing the sage and cream. This drapey blouse could be worn to the office and works just as well with jeans. My jeans are Madewell’s Perfect Vintage Black which is washed and appears gray. They’re a customer favorite and bestseller that’s made from Madewell’s Heritage Stretch denim that has an old-school look and a broken-in feel. They’re highrise and have a straight leg. They come in sizes 000-22-22W.
I’ve been a fan of the clean lines of Ippolita jewelry for years and snagged these teardrop earrings the moment I saw them. That’s the thing about Nordstrom Rack, when you see something you like you need to jump on it because the prices are so good, things sell out in a flash. Ipolitta designs sculptural pieces with graceful shapes that are handcrafted with precious and semi-precious stones.

These sneakers could not be more perfect for spring. They’re as comfy as my other favorite Ecco sneakers with the added benefit of being water resistant. They have a removable, cushioned insole with arch support and a flexible sole for lightweight anatomical support. That’s a win/win in my book.
Then I spotted this pink rain coat and was smitten. Is it Barbiecore pink? Not sure but it sure is fun. It’s got cinch-cords at the wrist and waist to snug up the fit and a hood for downpours. It’s shorter than the red rain jacket so you won’t get as much protection from the elements, but it’s perfect for spring.
This Guess rain coat also comes in light blue, but I could not resist this bubblegum pink. The fabric has a holographic-type sheen that’ll sure keep you visible in the rain. My jeans are a high rise straight crop by Hudson. These are a super soft cotton with a touch of spandex and come in sizes 000-16.
Here are some other rain jackets that caught my eye-
I’m wearing it over this colorblock wool sweater in shades of gray, ivory, and lavender. It also comes in a black/gray/red combo. It’s a very soft wool/cashmere blend in sizes 00-16W. My Vince Camuto crossbody is sold out in blue, but they’re still stocked in black or tan. It’s very roomy and amazingly lightweight for the amount of things it will hold. It’s got an adjustable shoulder strap plus lots of inner and outer pockers to keep you organized. It’s also got a detachable airpod case so you always know where they are.
You’ve spoken so highly of Skechers. I decided to get a new pair and these happen to coordinate with my sweater. They’re the On The Go Flex Wonderous slip on sneakers that come in three colors, sizes 5-11. They have a knit mesh upper and “an Air Cooled Goga MatĀ® insole” which is super cushiony. These have a very flexible sole with an extra cushiony midsole.

I do love that red raincoat Jennifer. Its a good length, and what appears to be a great hood to keep hair dry too. The pink is cute but too short for rainy day walks. My last red raincoat had no hood attached and keeping an umbrella right side up w/o blowing inside out lately is quite the challenge.

Ippolita jewelry is one of my favorite designer brands. I have over a dozen pieces including earrings (same teardrop as you have on only in gold with blue sapphire stone), rings, sterling and stone necklaces and a beautiful statement necklace in 18K gold and stones (from the Rock Candy Collection) that I purchased on eBay for a steal of a price.
Wish I’d known Rack carries Ippolita sooner. Am always on the hunt for bargins as their jewelry, along with Alexis Bittar’s are tops in my accessory wardrobe.

I usually shy away from Barbie Pink, but the rain jacket looks like so much fun to wear on a dark raining day. And boy we have had too many dark raining days in Roseville.
I’m always on the lookout for a great red jacket to wear on trips. We take a lot of pictures. On days when we are in a city surrounded by grey buildings and overcast skies, a red jacket provides just the right pop of color to salvage the scene. I really like having a hood on my travel jackets to protect my hair from the fine morning mist that isn’t heavy enough to justify opening an umbrella, but is just enough moisture to wreak havoc on my hair! Tried to order this jacket but the mediums were sold out.
I had better luck with the waterproof Ecco sneaker. On my first trip to Italy, waterproof shoes were high on the list of items our Tour Director advised we pack for out trip. I had a pair of Ecco waterproof slip-ons that kept my feet dry and warm but I was wearing my sneakers when we got caught in a bad storm and my feet got drenched and cold. I have been on the hunt for waterproof sneakers ever since. Mission accomplished today!

I like the pink one too. I have a straight box cut Columbia zip up in very bright pink that I like.
It is a bit more casual, but will make me very visible in a rain storm.
Great point about visibility š Our rain has been intense, and it is hard to see people walking their dogs, etc.

Such a huge Nordstrom Rack fan. I shop it on line and with few exceptions over the years have loved every single piece of clothing, jewelry, housewares, linens & baby clothes for my new grandson. I’ve just slipped on my Naturalizer “Soul” slip=on sneakers/shoes that are incredibly comfortable and offer great support in a neutral mushroom color. The Rack never seems to let me down. I always can find what I need. The only sad part is there’s not a store within easy driving distance to make exchanges or returns. But otherwise, love, love love the quality of what they carry & pricing.

Love the red raincoat! I saw a blue one that was similar at The Rack yesterday. Really like the mesh shoes. They look so comfortable. Our snow here is finally leaving and it’s starting to look like spring š¼
Love the red raincoat. I bought one a couple years ago at Joules. It’s a little heavier than some jackets, but it’s perfect for New England weather by the ocean. Plus, as you said, the color makes me happy.
It does remind me of my husband’s foul-weather gear he wears for sailing with all the protective features.

I bought a couple of those shirts you debuted from Kohl’s. You had on a blue check. I normally don’t wear shirts like that and took a chance ordering them. Love the rain jackets! I bought a bright red, hooded rain coat a few years ago on sale at Coldwater Creek. Itās got a lining that zips in. Wearing it makes me feel happy – even in a downpour.
Feeling happy in our clothes is so important.
