Cyber Beauty Goodies To Give Or Treat Yourself To

Happy Tuesday, ladies. I don’t know about you, but when holiday shopping for others, I often find things for myself. We all need a little extra self-care during the holidays, and nothing feels quite as pampering as a pretty new perfume, lotion, or some fresh makeup, so I have indulged :).

This post is sponsored by Nordstrom and ShopStyle Collective. Thanks for supporting the brands that support AWSL.

The Nordstrom Cyber Deals are on from now until November 29, with terrific beauty deals for you and everyone on your list. While scrolling for deals, I noticed my NEOM Wellbeing Mini Essential Oil Diffuser is on sale! I love this little gem. It’s battery-operated or charges with a USB port and fits in the cup holder of your car. I use it at home, but you could take it with you.

applying neom magnesium butter This Magnesium Body Butter is also on sale and hit my cart instantly because I swear by it to help relax my jumpy legs at night. It feels luxurious and smells wonderful. I’m a big fan of everything I’ve tried from this brand.

I’m going old school with my hair these days because it just doesn’t have the oomph it used to. I had more fall-out than I care to think about from a bout with the flu last summer, and the regrowth is slow, slow, and slower. I have to be gentle with my hair, so after reading about different hot roller sets, I ordered these T3 Volumizing Hot rollers.

They have two heat settings, so I don’t fry my hair, and their velvet flock coating grabs the tiny flyaway hairs without pulling them out. The core heats up while the edges stay cool, so you don’t burn your fingers.

The clips hold the rollers in place and also don’t yank any strands out…can you see a theme here? Anything that pulls on my hair is out of the question, and these don’t. They’re 25% off as part of the Nordstrom Cyber beauty deals.

It’s funny to be back to hot rollers, but they really do add a lot to fine hair! It’s sounding like I only bought things for myself, but I did do some damage for others. I just can’t give away all my secrets here because my family does read my blog :).

REPLICA COFFEE BREAK currently 15% off

I bought the travel size of this Coffee Break fragrance to try a few weeks ago and fell head over heels for it. It’s a sweet scent that doesn’t smell like a coffee shop, so I can’t explain the name, but I love it. It’s got notes of vanilla, musk, sandalwood, and lavender that blend into a warm, rich fragrance with great staying power. It’s currently part of Nordstrom’s Cyber 9 deals at 15% off. This By The Fireplace is one of their most popular scents, and it’s also on sale.

I never see these marked down, and I’ve read very good reviews of their success! People also love this more affordable Laser Hair Comb, so it’s in the running too.

Nordstrom carries so many great brands they’re your one-stop-shop for everything beauty. Just one of the benefits of shopping at Nordstrom is their amazing customer service, plus free shipping and returns.  They also offer BOPUS (buy online, pickup in-store), ROTUS (reserve online, try on in-store), and curbside pickup.

Their loyalty program is tops in its class. You can join the Nordy club for free here. For every dollar you spend, you earn points toward shopping notes you can use later. As a Nordy club member, you get free basic alterations, and card members get early access to the Nsale.

Are you paying attention to your self-care during these super busy holidays?

Thanks for your recommendation on hot rollers I have hair very similar to yours and am always looking to something to hold curls and add body. Fine thin flat hair ☹️

    1. These work really well. My stylist recommends I use end papers. Remember them? I have to find some

  2. You could be describing my head of hair when you talk about yours, so I always investigate any suggestions you make on hair products, Thank you!

  3. love your glasses, too.

  4. Jen, fabulous hair style, nice change from a traditional bob which has been my look for years. You have encouraged me to get a set rollers which I used in the 60’s!! LOL
    Have a wonderful Thanksgiving

    1. Happy Thanksgiving!

    Hi Jennifer,
Thank you for the suggestions l am going to get the lotion for restless legs perfect for my stocking ! I loved what you said about treating yourself at Christmas; l took advantage of the 30% Monica Vinader sale at Nordstrom and bought myself a lovely Pearl and gold chain for $135 which l thought was a steal and perfect year round. Now l have to be good 🙂
    Happy Thanksgiving !

    1. Good for you!!! I love her pieces. Happy Thanksgiving

  6. The first thing I noticed when I opened your post was the VOLUME of your hair! So nice. Just ordered the HairMax thing but from a website I’ve used in the past that had it slightly less costly–I too suffer from thinning hair and it is getting more pronounced after illness and family stress. I’ll report back–thank you for keeping us all notified of improvements in treatments of all kinds!

    1. I have my fingers crossed with this. I’ve read promising reports about it

  7. Love your hair! Before I had cancer I wore my hair just like that and used hot rollers all the time. They are easier on your hair over curling irons in my opinion. My hair was s now on a pixie which I never thought would ever happen. It just looks healthier and thicker now.

    1. Shellia McCormick says:

My hair is almost to a shoulder length bob now and last Christmas I had the pixie for the same reason. Before Chemo it was 1/2 way down my back and it was my pride and joy. It was fine, but I had a great hairdresser who know what to do with it. I realized how much we value our hair, it’s the first thing people usually notice about us. I learned alot from that experience, as I’m sure you did. Hang in there, it will grow. I’m enjoying every new hair do, because I never know what it’s going to look and feel like. I will get back to the long hair, because it’s just me. As I get older, I’m sure I’ll wear it up more. I’m praying for you and I hope you enjoy your hair journey as much as I have.

      1. So glad you are on the road to recovery!

    2. Sending prayers for your recovery, Rosemary

  8. Your hair looks awesome! My hair is very similar in texture & style. The rollers really would help mine, if I had the patience.
Thank you for gift suggestions & you’re right! This time of year, it’s one for me, one for you!☺️
    Happy Thanksgiving!

    1. I believe we need to treat ourselves as well as we treat others:)

  9. I love your look, think you look amazing! It’s rather “Diane Keaton” and I mean that as a compliment! Happy Thanksgiving from South Carolina!

    1. Happy Thanksgiving!!

  10. I like your hair like this. Soft and feminine, not frumpy or old school!

  11. Your hair looks awesome! So much body and a slight curl! I am going to check these curlers out for my fine hair! Thanks for a great post.

    1. Thank you. Thin hair is such a challenge.

  12. It’;s only Tuesday, not Wednesday. Don’t rush the holiday – too much to do – LOL
