How to Get the David Yurman Look for Less

I am a huge fan of David Yurman and own several of his pieces that you’ve probably seen me wear a lot. David Yurman is a designer jewelry brand known and loved for its high-quality, mixed metal jewelry. The Cable Collection is his signature design that is classic, timeless, and instantly recognizable. Let’s look at how to get the David Yurman look for less. This post has been very popular, and many pieces have sold out, so I’m updating it with new links.

THESE HOOPS WERE A CHRISTMAS GIFT FROM MY DAUGHTER LAST YEAR… I WEAR THEM ALL THE TIME!

Unfortunately, the downside to this beautiful jewelry is the rather expensive price tag that can go with it. I always get questions when I wear mine, and thought it would be fun to share how to get the David Yurman look for less.

David Yurman Inspired Bracelets

David Yurman is known for their cable-inspired jewelry. Their large selection of bracelets from chains, cuffs, and stackable bangles can be recognized anywhere. Prices range from $295 all the way to $80,000! I picked six of my favorite bracelets and went on the hunt for the closest, most affordable designer-inspired looks I could find on the internet. With prices this low, you can have a new bracelet for almost every day of the week.

One of the most popular DY bracelets is the classic Cable Bracelet. This is the piece that kicked off the brand when he crafted it for his now-wife in 1982.

My husband bought me this amazing “torch” cable bracelet for our 15th anniversary. That was 30 years ago, and the exact bracelet is still popular! He also gave me matching earrings which they don’t make anymore, so those have become a collector’s item. The ring was a gift about five years later and is no longer available new, but I did find a pre-owned one here.

The huge torch feels rather large for daily wear, so I bought myself this small Cable Bracelet with pearl ends that I wear almost every day. I found this affordable similar look, and you’ll never believe that it’s under $25!

Another best-seller is the X-Station Cuff. It would be a great starter piece for a bracelet stack so that you can mix and match other pieces of gold and silver jewelry. This similar piece is around $14.

Similar David Yurman Earrings

You all know that I love a great pair of earrings, but it’s hard to justify splurging on them all the time. The most inexpensive pair on their website is $295, which is still quite an investment. Luckily, looking classy and elegant doesn’t have to cost you a pretty penny when there are more great inspired finds available.

This pair of drop chain earrings is similar to a pair from David Yurman. You can grab yours for under $20. Pair it with the Oval Link Chain bracelet above.

Love the ball and chain convertable necklace you are wearing with the lavender sweater. I think it might be at Nordstrom’s but I do not know the designer name. Can you help? Thank you!

I see someone else mentioned Brighton which has many pieces similar to the ones that you show here today. I have a number of Brighton pieces that I wear all the time. My oldest Brighton pieces have ‘stood the test of time’ – still look good and current despite being 15 years old or more. But yes, there is something about putting on a piece of high-quality jewelry that makes you feel special.

  5. While I agree the faux pieces of DY jewerly look nice in the pictures, there is something so special about the ā€œrealā€ DY. I have a DY cable bracelet given to me by a friend & every morning when I get dressed I put it on along with my diamond tennis bracelet. It doesnā€™t matter if Iā€™m wearing jeans, dress clothes or sweats. It goes with everything & makes me feel good. My exception to faux is diamond earrings as earrings are too easy to loose.

    1. I lost a diamond stud earring many years ago and never replaced them with real for the same reason! Itā€™s so east for them to slip out.

  6. I love your watch! Do you have information on it?

    1. My husband bought it for me about 38 years ago at a jewelry store that was going out of business. Itā€™s an old Cartier tank style.

  7. Beautiful jewelry! You did a wonderful job finding similar less expensive finds. I’ve been thinking I need to wear my real jewelry more often and not just for good.

    1. I try not to save mine. It wonā€™t get worn enough if I do.

  8. I love your posts! Yours is the first I begin each day with because you are so willing to share the aging process with us because it does happen! And you embrace it rather than ignore it as others do. Thank you for being so honest with us! I, too, love David Yurman and have several of his wonderful pieces.

    1. Happy Tuesday, Susi!

  9. Am not familiar with David Yurman, but your bangle reminds me of the Bulgari Serpenti range, which has a little snake head where the jewel is on yours. I did a double take with the silver earrings with the gold twist on them. My late mother had something very similar, from Tiffanys. Your jewellery looks very smart and modern on you. I quite fancy the Van Cleef and Arpels, Alhambra range of bracelets, but canā€™t justify the spend these days. Your baroque pearls have inspired me to dig mine out and wear them. They were a gift but was worried they might have been a bit ā€˜mumsyā€™. However, you certainly have changed my opinion on that.

    1. Iā€™m glad youā€™re wearing them! Itā€™s all in how we style things.

  10. Love lots of the jewelry, BUT I have two unrelated questions. Where did your daughter get that cute hat and where to get your beautiful lavender sweater??

    1. She bought her hat on holiday in Hawaii but Iā€™ve seen several like it on various sites. Look for a ā€œraffia bucketā€ hat. My sweater is from Nordstrom last year and sadly sold out.

  11. I still wear my Yurman look-alike bracelets that I ordered from Amazon in 2019. They were a set of three by UNY. Love them!

  12. Love this post! I have several Brighton pieces that remind me of Yurman styling and very affordable. Thank you for finding pieces that are affordable – off to Amazon get one or two or morešŸ¤ .

    1. They remind me of Brighton pieces too!

  13. I own only three pieces, both bracelets and a necklace, but I cherish them as they were gifts from my husband.
These bracelet pieces look nearly like mine! Amazing!

    1. It is amazing isnā€™t it? They look so close.

Thanks for sharing the look alikes for a reasonable price.
