Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American readers! My pies are made, the veggies are prepped and my daughter is arriving! It’s the first time the whole family has been together for Thanksgiving in far too many years.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for being here. We all get a ton of email junk in our inboxes and I thank you for not dumping me in your spam bucket:) Your wise, funny, caring comments make my day!

While your turkey is cooking there are some amazing sales you might like to peek at. This time of year is when online shopping is the smartest way to go. No parking, no crowds, and no heavy bags to carry. Most stores have started their Black Friday sales early.

Here are a few I’ve been shopping:

Nordstrom – Hands down my favorite store! I have an exciting surprise to share with you tomorrow about Nordstrom!! Today, their Cyber sale is on with discounts up to 50% off.

For Petites

For Plus Sizes

Ann Taylor – 50% off your entire purchase with the code BlackFriday

Loft – 50% off your entire order with the code Indulge

There’re tons of other sales but I want you to get back and enjoy your family time. I’ll see you back here tomorrow for my Nordstrom surprise. xx

Happy Thanksgiving May you and your family have a blessed day.

  6. I leaned heavily on canned things this year like yams to make my candied sweet potatoes and green beans and French fried onions for green bean casserole, I did make cornbread dressing from scratch and a wonderful pineapple filling is homemade but my cake is a mix. I was able to put the same dishes on the table but using a few convience foods. I’ve just finished cataract surgery so I needed to cheat a little. Have a blessed Thanksgiving and be safe. Bless you and your family Jennifer and remember, “You can’t have Thanksgiving without calories” as a friend said to me. LOL

    1. I hope you heal quickly, Eve! I’ve consumed more than my fair share of calories this Thanksgiving;)

Happy Thanksgiving! For the first time in over 40 years, I am not cooking the dinner. I did do the pies and a fruit salad. I told the family last year I wasnā€™t doing it again. A torn rotator cuff sealed it this year. I canā€™t lift anything over 1 pound. Bless my daughterā€™s heart; she is cooking.
    Hugs, Phyllis
