Making Memories: Family Celebrations

Happy Thursday which feels like Monday to me ladies. Christmas was very meaningful this year so I took time off from the blog to revel in family time and simply soak it all in. Time seems to be flying faster than ever these years and I don’t want to miss the things that matter most. Blogging can take over your life if you let it and I was determined not to let that happen this year.

I’ve read all your comments and you’ve given me some great ideas for upcoming posts and a new series, so thankĀ you! I will Jennifer Connolly with daughter and sister in law in San Francisco

Our festivities started with a few days in San FranciscoĀ with my sister-in-law. The city was lit up and bustling.

Jennifer and Vanessa Connolly shopping at Nordstrom

My daughter’s flying home today and as always, her trip has felt too short. We shopped,Ā and talked, and laughed and shopped some more. I think we logged more hours in Nordstrom and Sephora than ever before. She’s the only woman I shop with so we have a blast.Jennifer and Vanes Connolly after being drench by the rain

Christmas Eve, we shopped through a torrential rainstorm and being the troopers we are, didn’t let it deter us one bit.Ā vanessa and james smiling for the cameas

My grandson, the previous little ham bone, has refused to smile in pictures for several months. I did discover who he will smile for:)

I got this Airfryer for Christmas which we immediatelyĀ put to the frenchĀ fry test. Awesome! Crispy and lower calorie so this will be a fun new toy for me. Have you tried one?

Santa brought me a new iPad, which I needed desperately, and some wonderful new skin care products which I will report back on after I’ve givenĀ it a good try.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday.

Thanks for reading and have a great day.

  1. Your website is taking me all over the place. I just wanted to comment on the smocked post from today 4/17/21 but can not find the place to do so and have been to all kinds of posts over the last months. I love your style and your sensible posts. I loved the black smocked dress on the mannequin today. I think it would be a slimming look but I would have to try it on and I wouldn’t buy it for that much. The cost was way too much for my budget. You often spend more than I would on clothes and sometimes it’s right on target. I’ve always loved smocked clothes and think it would be fun to try it as an adult. The other thing for me was that I liked it very much in a long dress. I don’t wear dresses in general. And the only ones I wear are long. I like to have on capri’s or long line unders when I wear a dress so only long will really do for me. I just pretty much only wear pants. I think the smocking is feminine and pretty but I didn’t know it was a thing any more. GLAS YOU SHARED IT. I’ll be on the lookout. Happy Spring,
    Beth

    1. I didn’t ever intend for my whole name to be included in the response and finding no way to edit it. Please provide easier ways to commend and edit. I’m not sure what’s going on with your website today but it’s never been co cattiwampus.

  2. You have your priorities right! Our family & friends are more important than anything else going on in our life. They are not to be neglected! I have to remind myself sometimes.
There is that handsome grandson of yours. He is growing up so fast. Obviously, Vanessa has the magic touch with young ones.

    1. My daughter and sons girlfriend made french fries from scratch which were great. It was the only recipe that came with the machine so I’m hunting online for some others to try. I’ll keep you posted but I assume there must be someone out there to explain it to us;)
