Bootcut pants are a huge trend for fall. Make them in traditional fabric, and they become a wearable basic for years to come. These bootcut corduroy pants have off-seam front pockets, back welt pockets, and waist darts for a streamlined fit. I opted for the petite, which has a 30.5″ inseam. It’s a medium to wide wale that’s soft and comfy.
I paired it with this forever V-neck sweater. I honestly can’t get enough of this fabric. It’s a machine washable fine knit made from breathable fiber derived from certified renewable wood sources using methods that reduce water impact and emissions by up to 50%. I’m wearing the snow day color, which is a soft white. I topped that with this double-breasted slim blazer in timeless herringbone and silver pearl earrings for a touch of elegance in a contemporary shape.
Here, I dressed the blazer down with some jeans and a pair of modern lug sole Chelsea Boots. I love the ease of just slipping on a comfy bootie.
Lug soles are very popular this season, but my feet aren’t flattered by the monster ones, so I was thrilled to find this pair. They’re wide enough for thin socks, don’t pinch my bunion, and the extra lug of the sole adds cushioning that my feet appreciate.
I’ve had my eye on this oversized cardigan for some time and finally bought it. Can I just say…I adore this shade of brown. Many have a warm base, but this is a cool-toned neutral that hints at deep taupe. I love how easily it coordinates with so many colors, and it’s super soft. I’m wearing it over these vegan suede skinny jeans, which fit beautifully. The leg is not super tight and, like all vegan suede, has lots of stretch. I bought black, but they also come in brown or camel.
Blazers with stretch are so much comfier than wovens and give a more casual vibe to my casual looks. This blazer has shawl collared lapels and single button closure. I bought the navy, and it also comes in black. I always find that shorter blazers are a better proportion with wider-leg pants or jeans.
I love my forever pullovers so much that I ordered a few cardigans. Their fine knit is light enough to layer under and over things making it perfect for my climate. The shape reminds me of a refined boyfriend cardigan that’s comfy but not oversized.
This cardigan comes in nine yummy colors. I couldn’t resist this dark cherry. The petite medium is a great fit for me, and I’m thrilled the sleeves are long enough. I couldn’t resist the emerald green either š If you ask, I will not admit how many forever sweaters I’ve bought, but suffice to say, plenty!

Unfortunately the herringbone blazer is not part of the 50% sale. It is only 20%. They do have great sales but that item is not part of it.
I have the double breasted blazer and love it!! It fits so well and great for Fall.
Classics are my thing but they need a bit of something unique/artistic/whimsical thrown in. A special belt or other accessories or unusual colorsā¦ something to personalize them. So I donāt feel lm a classic clone. Iām leaning towards unique brooches lately. Must mean Iām getting old!
Iāve worn oversized shirts & sweaters for as long as I can remember. So glad to see them available. And Iāve never gotten rid of my straight legged and boot cut pants. Being petite at 5ā4ā size 6 I have to make sure of balance and proportion. My wider pants have to be longā¦ over my heelā¦ and strong enough in style & height to carry the leg weight. ( I donāt think I can deal with those heavy tire tread shoes but can work with some other types of lighter weight thick soles. )
The short wide pants just look like a poor fit to me. We called those
ā floodsā and no one dared be caught in them! They represented the bottom of fashion and style awareness and I canāt get past that.
I would like to see the blazer buttoned to see where the buttons sit.
The taupe color looks lovely on you. Goes to show that everyone can wear any hue as long as itās in her color temperature range. There are cool and warm colors of every hue.

I find it’s always hard to stop liking BRF items. I have two Forever Sweaters on route to me now. My color choices are somewhat differrent, so although ‘snow day’ is nice, I’m going for cooler colors to pair with herringbone jacket. I’m going to try the lug soles. I spend a fair amount of time in New England cities with brick or cobblestone streets, so a lug soled boot is a good choice. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Yvonne, it is frustrating to find something then find out it can’t be shipped here. On the other hand, it does give great ideas for searching out items to give the same look. I am still, however, not into the lug sole anything. I just can’t appreciate that for anything but hiking boots.
