Look of the Week: Options for Warm Fall Temperatures
Our weekend flew past so quickly, it’s hard toĀ remember what we did. I do know what I wore because we caught someĀ photo’s on our way to run errands. Our weather has cooled off lately so I’ve been transferring more things into storage which means I’m able to see and reach for more cool-weather accessories. This is my favorite time of year. It’s not cold enough to need big coats that cover everything but it’s cool enough to pile on cozy accessories.
This gossamer fine cashmere wrap comes in every color of the rainbow and is perfect for any time of year. I popped this little fringe cowl over top for a bit of added detail and love the combo.
If cashmere isn’t your thing or in your budget, here’s another great wrap that’s very soft and affordable!
It can also be pulled forward and worn as a scarf that drapes down the front. The possibilitiesĀ are endless for this wrap.
Its soft gray will go with everything I own which means you’ll see me wearing it a lot. AccessoriesĀ are most useful in stand-out colors or neutralsĀ you’llĀ pairĀ with many things.
When Purple PoppyĀ offered to send me these Lisette L pants with the cashmere topper, I jumped at the chance. They have no bulky buttons or zippers to add bulk to my tummy and are incredibly comfortable.
They have a built-inĀ tummy control panel that moves with you and slims where youĀ want it.
These classic slim black pants make the perfect anchor for many looks. They can be dressedĀ up or down and feel comfortable all the time. Being machine washable means they fit into my casual lifestyle perfectly.

I really like the outfits you choose. It’s nice to see beautiful, tasteful clothes on a real “model”instead of unrealistic tall thin, glum looking people in clothes you wouldn’t be caught dead in. Thanks Marlene! I use that expression too š We take pictures in country clubs, parks and on interesting streets all over the Bay Area. My favorite spots have colors and pretty shops.

I love the soft grays! The scarf is the perfect finishing touch. Jennifer, are you all in a safe place? The pictures of the wildfires are mind boggling and horrifying. Prayers for all the people in CA being affected.
Thankfully, we are safe Roxanne. It’s been so horrible for those living nearby and affected by this tragedy. My heart goes out to them.
That’s a gorgeous wrap. How did you ever choose a color – so much choice!! Do you know which shade you picked? It’s a gorgeous neutral. I also love the bag – a what a bargain! Great post. On another note entirely, are you affected by the fires out there?
It was hard to pick a color!! I am wearing the Ash #236, but I love them all. We were so lucky not to be not affected by the fires. The air quality was horrible in our area but nothing compared to those who lived closer. Such a sad business. So much tragedy.
I live in the Chicago area which gets cold early in fall. What shoes look best with ankle length slim fit pants like you are wearing? Love mules and ballet flats but not with socks! I never seem to have the right shoes for an outfit.
I like slim ankle booties when it’s cooler. They either slip just under the bottom of the pant leg or go over. I do wear socks with booties. I also wear peds with my ballet flats which keeps my feet warmer.
So pretty, Jennifer! The entire outfit looks great and I love the way the scarf adds pizzazz.
