The Best Tommy Bahama Pieces for Women Over 50
Tommy Bahama has launched a fun new collection in collaboration with Stetson. Think coastal chic meets cowboy cool with hints of Ralph Lauren. It’s quite fabulous and perfect for travel or just life at home. Here are some of the best wearable pieces I found from their latest fall 2026 collection, complete with fit notes and fabric details to help you shop with more confidence.

Tommy Bahama carries women’s sizes 00–18 and men’s sizes XS–3XL (as well as men’s big and tall 1XLB–5XLB and LT–4XLT). They also carry beach and home goods. I did this try-on in Bellevue, as my local California store did not receive many of the Stetson pieces.
For size reference: I’m 5’4″ and weigh around 134 with broad shoulders and straight hips. I choose between petite and regular to get the fit I like. You can see my other dressing room curated try-ons of new arrivals here.

New Classic Jean Jacket and Darcy Midi Dress

This Classic Jean Jacket is a fresh take on a reliable classic, with just enough stretch to keep it comfortable. Some denim jackets are stiff and thick enough to almost stand up on their own, but this soft cotton blend isn’t. The medium blue wash has no distressing, which keeps it looking polished for everyday wear. For those of you who care (I certainly do), the buttons are silver rather than bronze.
I styled it over the Darcy Midi Dress, which I found so useful while traveling last summer. It’s made from a medium-weight ponte knit that packed like a dream and dressed up and down easily. Ponte fabric is wonderful for travel because it holds its shape, smoothing over the body without clinging or showing every seam underneath. This combination would be perfect for a cruise or coastal vacation when paired with a pretty wrap and structured silver hoops.
Tommy Bahama x Stetson Palmdana Cardigan & Relaxed Straight-Leg Jeans

Western ruggedness meets coastal casual in this limited-edition Tommy Bahama x Stetson Palmdana Cardigan, which very nearly came home with me. The jacquard pattern mixes Texas stars with tropical palms, making it a natural collaboration between the two brands. Bandanas are everywhere again this fall, although are they ever really out?
I’m wearing a small here, but I’d go up to a medium for a slouchier, more relaxed fit. It’s 100% medium-weight cotton, making it practical for milder climates where heavy wools are far too warm. I can easily see this styled with a dark denim skirt or ivory cords. Still thinking about this one!
I’m wearing it with these Relaxed Straight-Leg Jeans. My true size was sold out in the store, so this size 10 is obviously too large and long on me. I folded the hem under because I wanted to see them without the deep cuff shown online. The contoured waistband is thoughtfully designed to prevent that annoying gap at the back when sitting, which is a major win for straight hips.
Darcy Sheath Dress & Adeline Linen-Blend Cardigan

The Darcy Sheath Dress features a subtle rib knit that skims the body without clinging. I love the vertical front seam, which gives it structure and creates a subtle slimming effect… because the eye naturally travels up and down rather than sideways. It fits true to size and is easy to dress up for dinner or down for sightseeing, depending on your accessories.
The Adeline Linen-Blend Cardigan is a perfect lightweight layer to toss over almost anything. It comes in three colors, but I particularly like the olive paired with black for early fall. These linen-blend knits stay cool and breathable, making them an ideal combination for autumn in warmer climates like Florida and Southern California.
Adeline Cardigan & High-Rise Ankle Jeans in Moonbeam

Here is the same olive cardigan paired with High-Rise Ankle Jeans in Moonbeam, a soft, muted ivory that acts as a great neutral bridge between late summer and early fall.
Again, my size was sold out in the store, so these are a bit loose on me. The fabric is a soft cotton-modal blend with 3% spandex, so they’re very soft and give comfortably when you sit down. A higher rise with stretch is ideal for keeping everything smooth through the midsection. They also come in classic black and run true to size.
Coastalina Relaxed Linen Shirt & Ankle Jeans

This relaxed 100% linen shirt is a bestseller at Tommy Bahama year after year, and with good reason. The linen quality is exceptional, and feels soft rather than stiff. The cut offers a comfortable, loose fit.
It comes in three colors and runs true to size. I’ve tied it at my waist here because the jeans are a bit big on me, but it looks just as nice worn untied. The slight shirttail hemline provides great coverage in the back, making it easy to wear over straight-leg pants or narrow denim.
Striped Cotton Crewneck Sweater

This classic crewneck, striped cotton sweater is a great layer for mild temperatures, and it looks just as chic draped over the shoulders for an easy coastal look. I found it runs true to size, and the cotton knit is dense enough that it isn’t sheer, so you can wear it on its own without needing a camisole underneath.

This collection was full of winners for me. Which of these fall pieces feels most like your style?

The fabrics at Tommy Bahama are wonderful. In fact, I’m wearing a linen shirt today that’s at least 10 years old. The styles are classic and I haven’t several of the all-cotton zip up sweatshirts in various colors. Really like the striped sweaters you showed.
What size in the Darcy dress? Wondering if sizing is pretty standard across lengths and patterns/solids.
There are 2 Darcy dresses. The midi and the sheath. I’m wearing a M in the mid and small in the sheath.
Very pretty items at Tommy Bahama!
When you go to Talbots, I’m curious about the squirrel fair aisle sweater. How does it run and is it itchy?
Sound good. I’ll look for it.
Thank you! Hopefully they are putting out October preview now.
