Cool Night’s from Soma

My taste in sleepwear has changed over the years but one thing remains the same. I insist the fabric be soft, stretchy and cool toĀ sleep in. Enter Soma and theirĀ Cool NightsĀ®Ā collection. Soma invited me to try them several years ago and I haven’t looked back.Jennifer of A Well Styled Life wearing Soma's Cool Nights Pajama set in peach Dot

The Cool NightsĀ®Ā collection uses a super soft signature fabric that’s known for its drape, softness, and stretch. It also stays cool against your skin, no matter the weather.

This Cool NightsĀ®Ā pajama set comes with short, regular and tall inseam plus a matching eye mask. I’m wearing a regular length in small which is a great length for me. I also have this set in black and cream which I shared with you here when I had to wear the top to a party.

These come in lots of pretty patterns and colors. Mine is a soft peach with black polka dots on the pants. The fabric is snuggly soft, cozy and a perfect weight for year-round wear. I’m not sure I’m an eye mask kind of sleeper but I never say never.Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled life wearing Soma pajamas and sleep mask in peach polka dot

I chose thisĀ Cool NightsĀ® robeĀ in navy toĀ go with my pajama set. MyĀ persnickety self would have chosen the black version to match the polka dots in my pajamas,Ā but I prefer softer colors against my complexion when I’m not wearing makeup…which is every night. It’s just more flattering.

It has a wide sash that’s attached at the back waist meaning you’ll never lose it in the wash and its ends are always the right length toĀ tie. You can choose to flip it up or down to wear higher on yourĀ waist, which I do because I’mĀ short. Small details, I know but ones that make this robe easy to care for and wear. I’m wearing aĀ  S/M and the length is perfect.Style blogger Jennifer of A Well Styled Life wearing navy ling robe from the Soma Cool Nights collection

The Cool Nights collection is huge. It includes both long and short robes, kimono’s, mix and match tops and bottoms, long and short pajama sets in every color imaginable.

I am also a huge fan of the SomaĀ vanishing edge panties. I gave up thongs many years ago and hunted for a panty which leaves NVPL (no visible panty line). These are it. Their patented design has a no-roll waistband and silicone strips at the leg opening which keeps them right where they belong. No creeping up when youĀ move and they’re undetectable under clothes…even white pants. These are all I wear now and don’t expect that to change anytime soon.

Lingerie and sleepwear should do its job, look great and be comfortable at the same time. TheĀ Cool NightsĀ®collection does all those things and more.

Soma is a company with a heart. I was proud to partner with them to spread the word about their annual Bra donationĀ program which helps give self-esteem to womenĀ facing domestic violence or homelessness. You can read more about this program here.

Have you tried theĀ CoolĀ NightsĀ®Ā collection?

How about their vanishing edge panty line?

Thanks for reading and supporting the brands that allow me to bring you new products.

A big thank you to Soma for partnering on this post and doing all they do for women.

Is the longer robe easy to pack for a trip?

    1. Itā€™s thin so would pack well. Iā€™m taking it on holiday next week!

  2. I love the Cool Nights pajamas. I have three pairs now. I am so impressed with the soft fabric and quality. I don’t have a robe yet, but that will be the next purchase. I love their underwear also.

    1. This is my first robe by Soma. Iā€™m not sure why I never thought of their robes before this but they are fabulous.

I love Soma! I live in Soma when I come home from work (my husband loves it!) whether shorts or pants styles, which they carry in tall, and that’s always easy to find. Individual items mix and match well, and it all goes in the washer (delicate) and dryer (low), a super-plus! I also wear their high cut panties, so comfortable. I wear front hook bras only (left shoulder injury) and don’t care for the foam most companies use to line their bras, Soma included. They have one unlined front hook, which I have in several colors. I miss the time when bras lined with a thin layer of fiberfill.

      *not always easy to find

    2. I miss those bras too. Whatever happened to them? I don’t want padding but I do like the extra coverage that slight fiberfill can give.

  4. I have not tried their products before but will definitely look into them as they sound to be made for me! I especially would like the belt attached to the back of the robe!

    1. Me too. That’s a small detail but I hate when belts come out in the wash and tangle everything into knots.

  5. I love Somaā€™s Super Soft panties and I have a few pairs of vanishing edge for certain outfits. They fit so beautifully! And I love all the pretty colors and patterns and how nicely they fold in my drawer. Every morning when I get dressed I feel like Iā€™m in a lingerie shop.

At first glance I thought they were expensive but then I realized how much the price goes down when you buy several pairs, plus they give an additional percentage off sometimes. Now Iā€™ll be going back for their pajamas and bras! Thanks for recommending them.

    1. I stock up on their panties when on sale, like now. They do fold nicely…I thought it was just me that noticed that;)

  6. I learned about the vanishing edge panties from your post. Iā€™ve tried them and love them. Will be sure to try the pjs too.
    Thanks for the info!

  7. After another night of throwing the comforter off and pulling it back (too hot, too cold), I think I may have to try these. I love the set you’re wearing…the polka dots are great. And I think I should give the vanishing back bra a try.

    1. I do love their vanishing back bra. If I poke one foot out from the covers it seems to cool my whole body off. Have you tried that?

      1. I’ll give it a try! Sounds easier than throwing off the entire comforter. This whole hot/cold thing is so crazy. And last night our plow guy decided to come by at 3:45AM. Needless to say, once he woke me, the rest of the night was a loss. šŸ™

      2. I play white noise on my phone during the night…it really helps drown things out. We have the huge lawnmowers out back on the golf course at all ridiculous hours!

  8. Nice to see you recognizing Soma for offering sleepwear and lingerie that doesn’t always resemble brothel-wear, dorm-wear or grannie-wear. Ladies of our age want something comfortable, a bit sexy and feminine without spagetti straps, scratchy lace and unflattering cuts. I’ve written Soma on many occasions requesting more tank-style nightgowns that reach the knee or slightly lower (our knees aren’t what they used to be). Maybe if some of your readers also contacted them, they’d recognize us as an important demographic. Their panties are THE BEST and I’ve just started wearing their Enbliss Wireless Bralette ( Style: 570222599) which is beautifully invisible under tee shirts and blouses. They are a bit tight around the ribcage so I’d go up a size.

    1. Lol- my knees have gone south lately too;) Youā€™re right about scratchy lace and such. Lifeā€™s too short for uncomfortable clothes and lingerie. Luckily the Soma lace is soft and comfy. I will try that bra. Thanks!

  9. I also love the Cool Nights line of pajamas and nightshirts. In fact, Iā€™m wearing one right now. The bottom is a cropped length. While these PJs are nice, I really prefer their nightshirts. But I never tried their vanishing edge panties. They donā€™t offer them in a full cut brief and Iā€™m not comfortable in anything else.

    1. The retro brief is full cut right to your waist. The modern brief is just a smidge lower but still very full cut. I have several pairs.

  10. I always pick my sleepwear and robes to go with my makeup-less complexion too! Soma is a brand I enjoy…very comfortable and holds up well through repeat washings.

    1. Thatā€™s a great point about their quality. Mine have gone through commercial washers and dryers while traveling and still look fabulous.

  11. I have seen the Soma name many times but never explored. Thank you for sharing some key pieces.
Unfortunately, when I checked sizes, the line only offers up to 2x. If you have any influence with the Soma team, could you pass this request to consider going to 3x in the line. Many women at 2-3x size tend to have larger waists and need more fabric in items such as the robes. Many thanks. Iā€™m relatively new to your blog but make it my first thing in the am read with my coffee. Have a great day.

    1. Welcome Jeanette! I donā€™t have any influence with the design team but appreciate you sharing so I understand better.

  12. During the holidays, I happened to be in Soma and drew their “lottery” gift card of $50. I used it to buy vanishing edge panties and love them. Definitely will try the cool nights pajamas. Thank you for this information and all the information you give us. I have used so many of your suggestions with great success (Ecco sneakers, etc.).

    1. Youā€™ll love how soft these are Kelly. I just ordered those Eccoā€™s in light blue;)

  13. I have been wearing vanishing edge long before Soma acquired the brand. I was searching and searching for my panties to purchase more and the brand disappeared. I was so thrilled when I found them at Soma. Love, love them. They come in beautiful colors! Also wear Soma Bra’s and PJ’s. ????

    1. Iā€™ll never go back to other panties! Theyā€™re awesome

  14. I love Soma Cool Nights. This is all I wear for sleep. Also, the vanishing edge panty is all I wear. They are very comfortable and the legs never ride up and the waistband never rolls. I also wear the vanishing back front close bra. Once I found my size, I just order what I need. Usually do not have to return anything which is wonderful since the nearest store is about an hourā€™s drive from me.
