Cozying Up for Fall in Ethyl Clothing

Labor Day weekend signals the end of summer and the onset of fall. This is hands down, my favorite time of year. It always feels like a time for new beginnings and before you know it, the holidays will be right around the corner. This is when I start to look forward to chillier weather and all the clothes that go with it.

Today, I’m pleased to introduce you to a fun fall collection from a brand that may be new to you.

Ethyl Clothing was started over 30 years ago by Kathy and Alan Shultz, who still lead the company to this day. They produce a missy fit, line of casual clothing for us…women from 40 to 80+, that’s sold in over 3,000 boutiques across the United States and is now available for you online.

I started with this Adelene – Alexandra cowl sweatshirt. Its soft fleece makes it perfect to snuggle in when the temperatures drop. The tunic length means it’ll go over leggings as well as pants and work for casual days around town or lounging at home. I’m wearing the gray. It’s also available in black here and blue here.

I’m wearing it over the casual outfit on over 50 fashion blogger Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled Life These pants are great for every day and could also dress up around the holidays because the lower legs have a small spray of tiny black crystals. Ethyl designs are all vanity sized, meaning the fit is generous. They suggested I size down in everything and they were right. I am wearing a small in everything.Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled Life wearing casual gray tunic

This is the Aurora – Amy tunic in a soft kitten gray. I don’t naturally gravitate to bling on my clothes but the neckline has a subtle spray of crystal and pearls which is very pretty and not overpowering. You can toss it on and only need earrings to feel ready to go.

The tunic length makes it perfect to wear over narrow bottoms. It has 3/4 sleeves which are a personal favorite to showcase bracelets and helps us look taller. Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled Life wearing gray tunic and gray leggings on bench in town

I’m wearing it over these deep gray pull-on leggings in ponte knit. The fabric is very stretchy and a slightly heavier weight which means they help camouflage lumps and bumps, always a plus in my eyes. They’re also available in white here, olive here, black here, navy here, chocolate here, and heathered gray here.

Clearly, these leggings are popular and with good reason. They fit beautifully and the fabric has an elegant finish. The description says the rise is 1″ below the navel but they hit me right at my waistline, which is perfect.Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled Life weaing blue tunic over vegan suede leggings

This is the New Orleans – Jasmine tunic. Its extra-long length is closed alone one side with a wide velvet ribbon that laces through grommets. The fabric is super soft and stretchy.

With 9% spandex, these leggings will be on heavy rotation for me this fall and winter because they are just that comfy. They’re also available in chocolate here, brown here, and gray paisley here.

Kathy and Alan Shultz take great pride in the beautiful line they produce. They want each and every customer to be happy with their purchase so a prepaid return label is included in every order. If you’re not totally happy, just pack up the unwashed, in like-new condition garments and send it back.

Alan travels overseas to hand-select their fabrics while Kathy travels to present the line to individual boutiques. That’s impressive in this day of generic brands without the personal touch. Their biggest focus is to make quality clothing that truly fits the everyday woman.

Are you as big a fan of vegan suede as I am?

Thanks for reading and have a great day.

A big thank you to Ethyl Clothing for partnering on this post.

Love your outfits today, especially the jeweled neckline tunic. Also love the grey shoes. That kind always looks good with leggings and skinny jeans.

  2. Hello Jennifer, Jayne again. I meant the gray beaded top. Sorry!

    1. These are a few years old. I found them on a sale rack for 70% off. Basic suede “smoking slippers” style in gray suede. I do love them. I’ll look for a similar pair for you.
