Dealing With Crepey Skin And An Amazing Sale

Happy Friday, ladies. Crepey skin becomes more of a struggle the older I get, so I’m always on the hunt for a product that will reduce its appearance. There’s no end to the options out there, but I’m very particular about what I put on my body. I get approached by a lot of brands that sound pretty amazing, but I turn most of them down because they’re not cruelty-free. I also prefer clean products without a lot of nasty chemicals so that limits what I will try and use as well.

This post is sponsored by City Beauty; all opinions and content are my own.

When City Beauty offered to send me some products to try, the first thing I did was check to see if they tested on animals. I discovered that not only is City Beauty cruelty-free, but they’re also a Leaping Bunny and PETA-certified brand which is not an easy certification to get! They must meet rigorous criteria, and their ingredient suppliers must also meet them as well!

When the box arrived, the first thing I dove into was the Invisicrepe Body Balm. It’s loaded with hydrating ingredients that protect our skin barrier, which reduces the appearance of thin, crepey, and wrinkled skin. I apply it to my upper arms and knees right out of the shower. It has a pleasant scent and velvety texture that melts right into my skin. I also reapply it on my upper arms just before bed. They’re my wrinkliest spot so far, but my knees are coming in at a close second 🙂

I’m really enjoying this luxurious cream, and it does improve the look of my lax skin.

City Beauty is a new-to-me brand that’s trusted by over a million customers worldwide. Their products are free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, formaldehyde, or mineral oil, which is important to me. The company was founded on a single product that took off like a rocket, won the prestigious Good Housekeeping Award, and never looked back…creating product after product that has become customer favorites for many women. I’m anxious to try more of what they sent and will report back!

I’ve just started trying their Multi-Action Sculpting Cream, which leaves my face and neck so smooth. It turns out that this month, City Beauty will be featured in a film called Mack & Rita, starring Diane Keaton later this month which I’m excited to see.

City Beauty is having an amazing sale on both products and has generously offered my readers 50% off the Invisicrepe Body Balm and the Multi-Action Sculpting Cream with the discount code AWELLSTYLEDLIFE at checkout. The sale runs from today through 8/16, but if you happen to miss the sale dates, you can still save 15% with the same code.

Have you tried City Beauty products?

Thanks for reading, and be sure to wear what makes you feel confident.

I will be in Los Angeles next week visiting my daughter and will order the product while visiting! Thanks for the tip. Love you visit your daughter in Vancouver… cross border mothers!

    1. Have a wonderful visit

  2. I can’t get my order to go through with PayPal. Is anyone else having this problem?
I am looking forward to trying this product!

    1. Try not letting letting your device prepopulate your contact info. Type it all in

    2. I tried typing mine in twice and tried to pay with PAY PAL and it kept coming up that there was an error and that it was a duplicate order; even the first time I tried to place the order.

  3. I just ordered both products. I am very careful with the products I use, so it is great to find something that is so highly rated, and meets my criteria. Thanks for the recommendation!

    1. I hope you enjoy them

  4. Jennifer, in the text about this great brand, you mentioned the Diane Keaton movie Mack and Rita, well, I looked up the trailer and it looks fantastic, so a bunch of girlfriends and I planned an afternoon out to see it next Wed. So thanks for another great thing from you.

    1. I love her movies!! I can’t wait to see it. Have fun!

  8. Gayle Dettloff says:

Love this blog! Have been wanting to try City Beauty products for a long time. I’m particularly
interested in the City Lips. Any opinions on it? Are their products highly fragranced? I always
have to purchase fragrance free because I have sensitive skin. Any help will be appreciated.
    Thank you.

    1. These creams do have fragrances, but they seem subtle because they don’t disturb me or sting my sensitive skin. I just started with the City Lips, so I’ll keep you posted.

  9. Jane Ayers says:

I love City Lips. I’ve been using for several years and maybe my lips aren’t plumper but they feel so good.

    1. I just started using that too. Fingers crossed because my lips get so dry

  10. Just ordered from Canada…looks like my arms will love it!
    Thanks Jennifer

    1. @Susan: As from Canada as well, may I ask if you used Pay Pal as appears to reject at City Beauty’s end for some reason, so am wondering if it is a glitch in the link or prefers a credit card transaction,
      Thanks! -Brenda-

      1. Just letting you know that there was no problem with credit card and it went through with discount right away. It does say that it takes longer to get to us, and I am sure it will have to go through customs as well. Good luck.

      2. I am having trouble with PayPal, too, and I am in the US.

  11. Just ordered crepe cream can’t wait to try, I have been looking at options and could not decide what to do. Thank you for suggesting this one.

  12. Susan K Wilson says:

    Discount code doesn’t work.

    1. I called and still got discount, not the same but comparable.

      1. I got the 50% off to work for the Invisicrepe and the Multi-Sculpting cream

    2. It will only work of the Invisicrepe and the Multi-sculpting cream

  13. Janice in Ky says:

Just ordered the cream for the crepe arms and the eye cream for dark circles. Can’t wait to get both. At 73 I need both. I’m 5’ 125 lbs but still have the jiggly arms and puffiness and dark circles under the eyes. The eye issues seem worse after chemo. In remission and hair growing back (even have eyebrows and eye lashes again 🤗). Trying to be my best self again. Will let you know how both work for me.

    1. Congratulations on being in remission Janice!

    2. So glad to hear you’re in remission, Janice. Congratulations!!

  14. I will be sure to look into it. These products sound amazing. So great that you do all the groundwork for us. At age 72 I can use all the advise I can get, thanks.

  15. Couldn’t resist a good sale. I just ordered both these products and look forward to trying them. I’m 78, so I can definitely use a little help with my skincare.

    1. I think you’ll love them. The sculpting cream feel like silk going on. I’m loving it.

  16. This sounds really good, after reading all the info on the site and the fact it is cruelty free, I just placed an order. I am surprised they do ship to Canada, and will be awaiting the product. It does say a month for delivery, so will have to wait patiently. There are a few other items that look promising as well, so will wait for your reviews. Thanks for this endorsement for something to work on the upper arms Jennifer. And thanks so much for the discount code!

    1. I did not know that! I’m so happy to hear they’ll ship to Canada. Another reason to love this brand.
