Dean Davidson with An Exciting Giveaway For My Readers
Happy Tuesday ladies. I’ve always been a bit of a jewelry nut and I came by it naturally. My grandmother loved and collected it, my mother loved and collected it, and I’ve passed that tradition on to my daughter. When I visited Vanessa in Vancouver last fall, we had a blast visiting with her friends, getting our first Hydra facial, dining out, and of course shoppingā¦ all the pre-pandemic joy that I’d sure love to have right about now! Today I am introducing the Dean Davidson Jewelry Collection.
On one of our shopping excursions, we discovered a jewelry collection by a Canadian designer called Dean Davidson. The Vancouver Nordstrom had a fairly small collection but enough to have us wanting more. Vanessa bought this gorgeous pair of pearlĀ and brushed gold earrings before I could get my credit card out…I have trained her well:)
We both loved them ā they’re simple, elegant, organic shape is a modern classic. I tried unsuccessfully to steal them upon my departure but no luck.
Fast forward to this past month, I discovered the brand again while browsing on Instagram, in particular, I saw these Ipanema earrings which are amazing. I adore the way the stone sits in its setting. I’ve never seen anything quite like this!
I asked a question on the Instagram image and connected with Dean who offered to send me a few pieces to try!Ā It turns out these amazing earrings are part of the DD Icons collection which are worn time and again as red-carpet staples. These instantly-recognizable pieces represent both the origin and evolution of the Dean Davidson brand.
Dean Davidson discovered his love for designing jewelry after an inspirational trip to Africa and launched his line in 2007. Deanās collections are designed in Toronto, Canada, and meticulously crafted in a traditional family-owned workshop of multi-generational master gem cutters in Jaipur, India. He was honored as the Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards 2019 Accessories Designer of the Year. Each piece is cast out of high-quality brass and finished in 22 k gold or rhodium and set with custom-cut semi-precious gemstones.
The Mar collection is named after the Portuguese word for sea and features vibrant, ocean-hued gemstones evocative of glistening seas in the midday sun.
What I love about these pieces, is they can be dressed up for a formal affair (if we ever get out of the house again!), and they also pair well with a simple T-shirt and jeans. The stones are particularly beautiful ā they have a lot of fire and life in them.
I thought each pair of earrings I put on was my favorite until I saw my daughter borrow and wear these. They are the exact color of our eyes and one of my very favorite stones!
The collectionās signature brushed-finish is a technique Dean learned during his time in Paris. I love how it gives a soft, timeless, luxurious, and unique quality to each design. Iāve seen his pieces on many celebrities ā including Oprah, the Duchess of Sussex, and Jennifer Lopez.

Wow! Such a unique and beautiful collection, it’s really hard to to have just one favorite! I really love all the pieces you modeled and so many more, but I think my favorite favorite is the Ipanema earrings with laboradite… or blue topaz… or rainbow moonstone — I still can’t decide! And the Oragami link bracelet and Infinity drop earrings with pearls are so elegant and timeless, I have to say those get equal love! Thank you for introducing us to this beautiful collection!

Thank you for the introduction to Dean Davidson jewelry, is so beautiful. I would buy the Statement necklace in gold. Itās so versatile and I would wear it frequently. I could also add charms and wear it like a pendant necklace. I have recently started to wear less beaded costume type chunky jewelry and have been buying more fine jewelry. Iām just not a dainty multi layered necklace type of gal. The larger gauge chain link necklaces suit me perfectly!
I would buy the Signature Knockout Bracelet in Gold and Black Onyx. The reason I would choose this item is because I can wear this with casual or more formal attire and it would not look out of place.
I love the SAKURA CRAWLER EARRINGS in Turquoise/Blue Topaz. They are so delicate and unique.

Hi Jennifer, I love the burgundy jumpsuit on you, that color makes you glow. I’m trying to get up the nerve to try one! I enjoyed seeing Dean Davidson’s Jewelry Collection. Such an organic sense of style that is totally timeless, elegant and modern too, but I noticed thoughtful details in the design, like the backs of the signature midi knockout studs so they would fit right. What a wonderful discovery! I also collect jewelry as did my father who loved gifting it to my mother! Nothing brings more pleasure than to wear jewelry that someone you cherished once owned or gifted you. Dean Davidson has created timeless pieces that would be treasured gifts or heirloom pieces. I spied the stunning Maiko earrings. I would wear these unique timeless hoops and know I would not be forgotten by the granddaughter I chose to inherit them.
I donāt know if others have this problem with jumpsuits and when theyāre advertised itās never told how to disembark them to use the bathroom without having to fully undress? Anybody got a solution?

My daughter is getting married, and I would love to give her the Ipanema earrings in gold and blue topaz: something new, and something blue! A lovely Canadian designer I did not know about. Well – there are a number of pieces I just put on my Christmas wish list lol. I think the first piece I would want to purchase is the Bamboo Gemstone Stud Earrings with the rainbow moonstone. Then I would move on to the Signature Knockout pieces because they would be wonderful everyday pieces. And then … I may be going down a rabbit hole here.

I would purchase the Praia Pave Hoops – so classic and elegant.
It is all beautiful but I rarely wear jewelry anymore. I lean toward long necklaces when I do wear jewelry. Like new perfume or shoes though, nothing can cheer you up better than new jewelry. You look lovely in all of it and where did that georgeous blue patterned shirt come from? I love it. Blue is definitely your color.

I would purchase the IPANEMA earrings. I have just lost about 80lbs and have had to buy an entire new wardrobe which was definitely not in my budget. I have purchased a lot of blue items as it is my husbands favorite color and he has been so supportive in my healthier way of life. Jennifer, thank you for sharing a part of this beautiful collection! Like you, my grandmother and mother loved their jewelry and passed that love on to me. As a little girl, I would go into Grandma’s bedroom and go through her jewelry, admiring each piece. I ended up with her entire brooch collection, a pearl necklace, and her wedding set. I also got my mother’s collection upon her passing, and I cherish wearing pieces from both. They give me joy, and I also receive compliments when I wear something that belonged to my lovely grandma and mom.

I’ve never heard of Dean Davidson – it’s fun to explore a new designer! He has a lot of beautiful pieces, but I’d choose the Signature Layered Necklace with a Labradorite stone. Labradorite is one of my favorite stones, so I enjoy seeing it in his lovely designs!
