Our weather turned gray and cold yesterday which was a nice change. I hear we’re in for a dry winter, which is not helpful for our drought conditions. We decided to go to the theater and see the new movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It wasn’t fabulous, but the special effects were very cool.
I wore I thought the fluttery sleeves might be awkward and get in the way, but they don’t. They fall away from my hands and feel feminine without being too girly for my style. Of course, I probably won’t cook wearing them.
The black French cursive translates to “love at first sight.” I wore simple hoops and a feather Pom Pom pin. I love brooches this fall, but anything heavier would have dragged down the blouse fabric.
I wore it with straight leg jeans, my cashmere wrap, and peep toe booties. I found this shawl at the Nordstrom anniversary sale last summer. It’s whisper-thin but adds the perfect amount of warmth.
I feel a bit like Count Dracula wearing it long, but it easily folds smaller to be a shawl.
The movies just don’t feel right without a large tub of popcorn.
The peep-toe booties turned out to be a poor choice because it was raining when we left the theater:) I’m happy to hear more rain is in the forecast and I’ll be wearing closed toe footwear for it.
We are off for some wine tasting in Napa with friends tomorrow.
Have a great day and thanks for reading.
