Linen season is almost upon us, and I’m ready! There’s nothing cooler than linen when the temps start to climb, so it’s a big part of my warm-weather wardrobe. I especially love white pants, but they’re notoriously see-through, especially in linen. I was delighted, but not surprised, to find these Greenwich linen pants are fully lined. I’ve come to expect that Talbots pays attention to that kind of styling and construction details, which is one of the reasons why that their clothes are a cut above.
These pants have a modern wide-leg that’s not too exaggerated, so they’ll be in style for years to come. A looser leg also feels cooler than slim ones in the hot weather, so that’s another plus in their corner. They come in three other colors in linen here, including a lavender that’s a perfect match for my tee, so I just dropped it into my cart 😉.
I love that they have welt pockets in the back, which give them an elevated look and elegant feel that you don’t get with patch pockets. These linen pants have a sophisticated vibe you could easily dress way up with this coordinating linen jacket or beautiful blouse.
I paired them with this Effortless Raglan tee that comes in five pretty colors for spring. I debated about the navy but couldn’t resist this bright lilac because it looks so fresh and cheery. It’s a smooth, super soft knit with elbow-length raglan sleeves. The fabric is a nylon/spandex blend, so it’s wrinkle-free and looks more polished than a cotton tee.
I topped my look with this iconic jean jacket in the Rosie wash, which I couldn’t resist because the buttons are silver-toned. I’m a big fan of wearing a denim jacket for my third layer because it’s got a relaxed vibe that matches both my lifestyle and my personal style. This one has a flattering feminine fit that is anything but boxy. Its fabric blend includes spandex for flex and comfort. It also comes in a lighter wash.
This same classic jean jacket also comes in six great spring colors here. The denim lover in me was fascinated to spot lots of short-sleeved denim jackets this spring that I’m anxious to try.
Spring is also a great time to switch to lighter-weight handbags. This straw crossbody bag caught my eye because it’s the perfect size. It’s large enough to carry your wallet, cell phone, sunglasses, and other essentials and compact enough to look polished. I find shaped bags hold so much more than envelope types, and their design makes it easy to find what I need without digging through a non-structured bag.

Those pants are a lovely and perfect fit on you Jennifer, however as tempted as I am to purchase them (as very polished and lined as well) I’m more on the hunt for something that doesn’t wrinkle as easily. Have fun this long weekend if visiting your daughter! -Brenda-
I love wearing linen tops, and love the lightness of linen pants. BUT within a few hours the pants always bag and look sloppy. Do you have a solution?
Linen does give when you wear it but I find the looser the fit, the less they stretch so I like to waer mine less fitted.
Does the lining not make the linen pant warm? They are a great looking pant, that as you said, can be dressed up or down.

Love everything about your outfit. Classy. Exactly what I would wear and I have everything in my closet to make it work. I am very petite, so enjoy seeing what is out there. Love jean jackets and love the lady jackets also but wish most of what I have seen would come with silver buttons instead of gold!! Enjoy Vancouver.
