Happy Thursday, ladies. I’m excited to share some great new Spring Favorites at Chico’s plus the new additions I’ve added to my growing, sporty wardrobe.
Chico’s sizing can seem confusing but it’s actually quite simple. Most brands only go up to a size 12 or 14 and if you’re any larger, you are out of luck…unless they happen to make plus sizes, which are fewer and far between these days. Chico’s sizes are 000(0/XS), (0/2– XS), 0 (4/6 S), 1 (8/10-M), 2 (12-14)-L, 3 (16/18-XL) 4 (20/22-XXL which allows the larger woman to shop without needing a special plus-size department. Chico’s also carries many garments in petite and some in tall.
As always, you can click the red text for more information and to shop the item at no additional cost to you.
My friends at Chico’s sent me their newest So Slimming 360 Brigitte pants to try. Wow, they’re fabulous! I’ve been buying the Brigitte for years because its smooth fit is comfy and flattering. Their pull-on style means there’s no tummy bulge from a front zipper and snap.
The Brigitte pant is a customer favorite because it’s so darn flattering. This season, the 360 Brigitte has gotten even better because they’ve added a new panel that extends all the way around the back and smoothes everything from all angles!
This Brigitte comes in 7 colors, Chico’s sizes 000(0/XS) – 4(20/XXL). I’m wearing the 0.5(6/S) in Smokey Taupe which is one of my most versatile neutrals for summer. I can squeeze myself into a smaller size because they’re so stretchy, but this one is the most flattering.
I love the length of this no-iron striped shirt. Some tunics are so long they make my legs look ridiculously short. This shirt is just 28″ long which covers my backside yet leaves enough leg so I look proportional. Chicos no-iron fabrics are truly no-care and come out of the dryer, needing no touch-up.
SOME FAVORITE CHICO’S PETITES
These super-soft Slimming Girlfriend Crops are a great wash for spring. Being short, they look less cropped on me than a tall gal but the crop can be adjusted by simply folding the bottom up more or less than this. All my Chico’s jeans are comfy, but this pair is the softest. I am wearing a 0.5(6-S).
This striped jacket is called a blazer on the website but feels much sportier than that to me. It’s a lightweight woven fabric with 4% elastane and lots of stretch. It has a snap front closure, long darts, and slash pockets which give it a slimming silhouette. I bought the blue and white in 1(8/10-M) and it also comes in a neutral stripe. This jacket is a great weight for spring and will easily go with white jeans, chinos, or a casual dress.
My tank top is sort of like potato chips, you can’t have just one. It’s a fabulous layering top that’s smooth and slim so it fits under everything. I collect them in my favorite colors each year because it’s a customer favorite that Chicos brings back season after season. This spring it comes in 10 colors.
My jacket has a decidedly modern feel and since I’m a bit obsessed with all things navy this spring, I added this Silver and Navy Links necklace. Like most of Chico’s necklaces, you can adjust the length for various necklines.
When the temperature turns up full blast, I find linen is one of the coolest fabrics to wear. I couldn’t resist this Easy Utility Linen Tee. Besides the comfort factor, this blue is gorgeous for spring and is one of my favorite colors. It also comes in white and other colors here, and a classic navy and white stripe here that I have on order. I bought size 1(8/10) in these tops.
These Seahorse Crops are another So Slimming Brigitte style, in the same Amparo Blue as my linen tee. I’m wearing a 0(4)S). I often show up to our weekly Bocce games, a bit more overdressed than even I like. These fun crops look sporty but polished and will be perfect. I’m gradually building my sporty wardrobe and Chico’s has some fabulous options.
These crops have so much stretch, they don’t bag anywhere, and the whimsical print is perfect for my casual lifestyle. I wasn’t sure about adding a print to my wardrobe but it’s just too cute to pass up. You can see above, that the other thing I love about my linen tee is it’s not too low in front when I bend over.
Uh, hello! Where has this skort been all my adult life? I’ve tried on other skorts before but many feel too short on me..and I have short legs! These ones simply pull on and are 18.75″ long. They have a button detail along the side seam, front pockets, and full shorts underneath with a 4 1/2″ inseam.
These will be great for Bocce…but when we headed to the tennis courts to grab these photos, I all of a sudden missed playing tennis! I used to wear the insanely-short tennis skirts, without a care in the world. Now at 65, these skorts are more my speed and will be perfect!
This fabric is soft, lightweight, and has 3% spandex so lots of stretch for ease of movement and to retain its shape. It may not seem like much but 3/4″ makes a big difference above the knee, if you know what I mean. Chico’s makes many different styles of skorts so I have more investigating to do.
There are so many great options in Chico’s latest collection, I can’t narrow it down to one favorite. I do know the colors are yummy this spring and Chico’s has something for everyone.
A big thank you to Chico’s for sponsoring this post and sending me the So Slimming 360 Brigittes to try along with the striped shirt, necklace, and bracelet.
