Tommy Bahama Cover Up Women Over 60
TOMMY BAHAMA EMBROIDERED TIERED COVER-UP DRESS size M / PACKABLE BRAIDED PAPER STRAW HAT

I love this little white coverup/dress. It’s fully lined, which makes it opaque enough to conceal my dark navy suit. I felt totally covered enough to grab lunch in town and do a little shopping. The cotton jacquard fabric was lightweight and airy, and I found that it dried quickly. I’m not into overly feminine details, but these fun tassels and embroidered trim are perfect for a warm-weather location, and I felt fabulous wearing this as a coverup and as a dress. Also available in black.

If I’m spending a lot of time in the sun, I prefer a cover-up with a hood that I can pull on to protect the back of my neck. This one has built-in sun protection, plus long sleeves that help block UV rays without feeling too hot.

If you’re looking for a cover-up that feels polished enough to wear beyond the beach, this one from Cabana Life fits the bill. The soft terry fabric is absorbent without feeling heavy, and the navy trim gives it that classic, preppy vibe.

Lands’ End is one of my favorite places to shop for swimwear and cover-ups, and I know AWSL readers love them too. They’re very size-inclusive, offering petite, plus, and tall options. The hood on this swim cover-up dress is a nice bonus, and the simple pullover style makes it a fuss-free choice for beach or pool days.

Some cover-ups feel purely functional, but this Tuckernuck one feels a little more special. The bright coral print is fun, and the terrycloth fabric makes it cozy after a swim. It’s the kind of piece that looks great whether you’re walking on the beach or sitting poolside with a good book.

If you want something super easy to slip on and off, a full-zip cover-up is the way to go. This one has a sporty feel, and I like that it doesn’t cling when wet.

If you’re looking for added sun protection, this cover-up is made with UPF 50+ fabric. I love that it’s soft, breathable, and doesn’t scream “cover-up,” so it’s perfect for popping on for any sunny outing when you need a little extra coverage.

Lands' End Open Knit Cover-up Dress

Crochet cover-ups like this one have been trending the last few seasons, and I can see why since they add tons of texture and drape really well. I do find they aren’t the quickest to dry, so they work best if you’re mainly lounging poolside or heading for a pre-swim lunch.

A pareo is one of the most versatile cover-ups you can pack. It takes up almost no space in your bag and can be tied in a variety of ways—around the waist as a skirt, as a strapless dress, or even draped over your shoulders as a light wrap.

Hi, try rip skirt brand , fab fabrics

  2. Swimsuit wear would be very rare for me but if I did I would choose a caftan style in white with navy trim. A mid calf length would be ankle for me. Your choices are very good for those of us that are older and really want to protect our skin from the sun.

  3. These are all really great coverups. I rarely wear a swimsuit anymore but when I do I have some short Pareos I wear but I really like the long one you featured.

    1. I rarely wear a suit these days too. Unless I have to.

    1. I love it and wear it a lot in warm climates.

Hi, Jennifer. I really like bith of your cover ups. They look comfortable as well as pretty. I found some reasonably priced, pretty and comfortable caftan-style cover-ups on Amazon when shopping for one before last fall’s trip to Atlantic Beach, NC. I’m 5’4″ tall so the ones that come to midcalf on the tall models come to right above my ankle. I ended up buying 3 caftans. My favorite one is a multicolored “stained glass” pattern, but you can also find them in solid colors and other prints. They take up very little room in your suitcase, and are nice to lounge in on the hotel balcony, too.
